‎A wide massive arc of searing crimson light materialized as Rose swung her sword at Kaal.

‎The crimson arc shot instantly towards Kaal. While it appeared to have reached his face almost instantly in others’ view, to kaal whose physicality was at the Zeta+ rank, it was as slow as it could get.

‎Rose and Kaal however, didn’t care one bit about that, they were exchanging blows at speeds beyond reason. It was a duel of pure weapon mastery that was backed by both their abilities.

‎Rose had been training with a sword since she was five, and such was the case for Kaal who had been training with a spear.

‎Kaal wasn’t known as a genius mainly for his power or abilities. Instead, he was known as a genius because of his combat capabilities and battle awareness. It didn’t matter if the enemy’s ability countered his, it didn’t matter even if he couldn’t even use his ability at all, his sheer combat ability and battle awareness was more than enough for him to triumph.

‎Rose on the other hand while also a master of combat and battle awareness, mostly relied on her overwhelming ability to destroy, or rather, incinerate anyone who dared to stand on her path.

Now that she was completely immune, or rather, now that she could heal herself, she didn’t need to bother with her flames harming her, so she could stay in this state indefinitely, or rather, until her aether was exhausted.

‎The moment Rose’s form transformed into an incandescent humanoid, Kaal instantly made space between them. This was because of the fact that were a mundane person to be even around Rose’s vicinity, they would have ceased to exist without even knowing how they died.

‎The next thing Rose did was ckench her fists, and for a moment, it looked like a black hole was sucking everything into her fists, while in reality, it’s was only warping the air.

‎Kaal watched her do all that, however the moment she opened her fists, even his poised face fell for a moment. Because in Rose’s palms, were around ten red beads that gleamed with an ominous light.

‎But his thoughts didn’t have the time to stray because in the next moment, all ten of the red beads shot towards him with uncanny precision.

‎A massive river of blood appeared between Kaal and the incoming blood spheres, before instantly solidifying into a hardened blood wall that spanned almost a hundred meters in height, and double that in length.

‎While Kaal knew that Rose’s flames could burn his blood, he wasn’t quite certain it would be the same if he hardened that blood. Since now it was solid rather than liquid.

‎The moment the red beads came in contact with the blood, an apocalyptic explosion erupted outwards, engulfing not only the hardened blood wall, but also Rose’s incandescent figure.

‎The entire pocket realm shook, even the floating platform itself couldn’t help but shake violently, leading the participants to hold their seats lest they flew off it.

‎

‎The cataclysmic mushroom cloud swallowed everything, and blinded everyone for a few moments.

‎

‎Inside the cataclysmic explosion meanwhile, Rose’s incandescent figure frowned subtly. She had been expecting the proctor to stop the explosion like he did before just like he did before, then announced her win.

‎But the explosion had been going on for a few seconds now, and she heard nothing, which meant, the demon was still very much in the game. She didn’t know how his blood managed to withstand that attack, but it had, and she was also sure that Kaal wasn’t unwounded.

‎A few moments later, the remnant of the explosion was gone, Rose then resummoned her sword from her spatial storage, and swung at the dust clouding the surrounding.

‎A massive gale exploded outwards and cleared out every dust generated by the explosion leaving Rose to see the resulting effects of her attack.

‎The land itself was covered in with molen rocks, lava, and volcanic ash. Every tree, shrub, or any hill had ceased to exist, an enormous crater eclipsed the landscape.

‎

‎And in the center of it all, was a half crumbling sphere of hardened blood that gradually broke away like ruby dust. The massive blood wall that Kaal had conjured earlier was no where to be seen, not even a single remnant of it remained.

‎

‎As the hardened blood continued to crumble, it slowly revealed the form of Kaal, and so to say, the demon Prince had seen better days.

‎

‎Ever since Kaal was born, today was the day he had ever taken such injuries. The moment the red spheres impacted the wall, the wall itself exploded to ruby dust. It didn’t last a single second against an explosion of that scale.

‎

‎It was only then that Kaal realized why the proctor had intervened when Rose used the attack in one of her earlier fights .

‎

‎Though Kaal was surprised the blood wall had exploded, he created another river of blood and made an ultra dense hardened blood barrier around himself.

‎

‎But alas, he was roo late, he had been caught by some of the explosion before the sphere could be completely created.

‎

‎And that was why he looked like he did now. Half of his face was burnt, his right eye was gone, and the entirety of his right side was covered in third degree burns.

‎

‎The agony was so overwhelming that if Kaal hadn’t gotten through the pain with sheer will, he’d have gone unconscious long ago.

‎

‎"DAMN, BURNS LIKE THAT GOT TO HURT A LOT! YOU’RE GETTING OWNED, KAAL!!" The commentator exclaimed with a wide grin, leading to chuckles among the audience.

‎Kaal’s remaining eye twitched upon hearing his older brother’s words. However he fixed his gaze upon Rose who was... suddenly not in her place any longer.

‎

‎The next thing he knew, his body was flying through the air, and his jaw felt like it had been hit out of its place. Not only that, the flesh on his left cheek also fried with a searing hiss.

‎

‎For a moment, his consciousness almost went blank, but a rush of blood through his veins dragged him back from the brink.

‎

‎He flipped his body, landing on the ground in a deep crater. Before swerving to the side, and dodging the incandescent palm that tried to grasp his face.

‎

‎His fist then blurred forward, coated in hardened blood, and struck at Rose’s midsection. Her entire figure folded almost instantly, before shooting away from the force of the punch, and crashed at the base of the enormous crater, losing her incandescent glow.

‎

‎But Kaal didn’t stop there. Numerous blood bullets took form around him, before shooting towards Rose with a flex of his will.

‎

‎Rose seeing the incoming blood bullets reacted instantly. A concentrated blast of flames erupted from her palm at the incoming bullets.

‎

‎But alas, the momentum of the bullets made them punch through the flames before it could deal them any lasting damage.

‎

‎Puchi! Puchi! Puchi!

‎

‎Rose’s body was met with a barrage of hundreds of blood bullets, tearing see through holes right through her body, with blood spurting outwards.

‎

‎The audience gasped, the eyes of the participants still on the platform widened as Rose’s blood continued to sprut out.

"What?! Did they just allow a princess to die in the tournament?"

"This is crazy! A human princess just died? Why didn’t the Crown prince stop it?!" A demon asked in disbelief.
