Training was indeed very helpful for Jesse’s growth.

Of course, it was also very beneficial for Jesse and Fei’er’s relationship.

In times of trouble, true feelings are revealed. These two—oh no—this human and dragon, truly embodied this saying perfectly.

At this moment, Tianmiao was sitting in front of the campfire, holding a whittled tree branch with a piece of chicken wing skewered on it, grilling it with an expressionless face. Jesse and Fei’er were sitting together, Jesse had his arm around Fei’er’s shoulder, occasionally whispering something in her ear. Fei’er would then let out peals of light laughter.

Watching the oil drip down from the chicken wing, Tianmiao grumbled to himself. Do they think speaking so quietly means he can’t hear them? Jesse and Fei’er were discussing whether their future child would have more human or Dragon Clan blood.

Indeed, Jesse now knew Fei’er was from the Dragon Clan. Once, they encountered a mud creature in the swamp, both sinking deeply. Jesse threw Tianmiao out, letting him escape on his own. Tianmiao was left hanging on a tree, swinging his little short legs, expressionlessly saying, "Jesse, I’d love to run too, but since you hung me here, where am I supposed to run to? You need to figure out how to save yourselves first, then rescue me."

As Jesse and Fei’er sank deeper, Jesse intended to throw Fei’er out too, having her take Tianmiao to escape. Fei’er finally transformed back into her dragon form, spread her wings, grabbed Jesse, and had him pick Tianmiao off the tree, flying away from the swamp.

It was then that Jesse learned Fei’er’s true identity.

Fei’er felt anxious because she had already realized she fell in love with Jesse—a dragon loving a human. Yet, she was unsure whether Jesse would accept the fact that she was a dragon.

Jesse, looking astonished at her dragon form, replied, "Oh, dear Fei’er, I just hope you promise me one thing."

"What?" Fei’er asked anxiously.

"It’s just that if we get married, make sure you don’t revert to your original form while sleeping. Otherwise, I fear you’ll wake up as a widow." Jesse said with a laugh.

"You’re incorrigible!" Fei’er said shyly, sulking, and instinctively swept her tail.

Then...

Jesse flew out, finally sticking to a giant rock in a starfish-like pose.

"Oh—my heavens. Jesse, are you alright?" Fei’er only then realized what she’d done, hurriedly transformed into human form, and went to peel Jesse off the rock.

"I’m alright. It’s fine if this happens once in a while. It’s a little fun between couples; too much though, and I won’t be able to handle it." Jesse brushed away his nosebleed, smiling helplessly.

Meanwhile, Tianmiao sat to the side, took out an apple, and continued munching as he observed this unique display of affection between this human and dragon.

Well, the apples from Reya Town are truly delicious. It’s a mystery what varieties they are. Tianmiao thought silently.

Regarding Jesse and Fei’er’s discussion about the genetic makeup of their potential child, whether it would be more dragon or human, they couldn’t reach a conclusion. Historically, there seemed to be only one instance of human-dragon union—a human woman and a male Dragon Clan member became a couple, their child was incredibly powerful. But later, news of this hybrid disappeared, and nobody knew where he went.

"Forget it, no need to worry about it. We’ll know once we have the child." Jesse comforted Fei’er, "We’ll get married once the training is complete, alright?"
