The smile on the butcher shop boss’s face froze, and he wondered if there was something wrong with his ears.

"Two suckling pigs? Did Jesse send you to buy them? Why buy so many?" the butcher shop boss asked with a frown.

"Of course, they’re for eating." Tianmiao looked at the butcher shop boss with a puzzled expression.

Butcher shop boss: "..." No, that’s not what I meant!

"Can you deliver them? Here’s the money." Tianmiao took out a gold coin and held it up.

"Can do." The butcher shop boss now believed that Jesse had indeed sent her to buy them; otherwise, where would the gold coin come from? After accepting the gold coin, the butcher shop boss gave some silver coin change and even specially found a small bag to pack it for Tianmiao.

"Hold it properly, don’t lose it. With so much money, you should be careful," the butcher shop boss advised, "Make sure not to let anyone see you’ve got this much money."

"Thank you, Boss, don’t worry. Fei’er will protect me." Tianmiao shook the bag and listened to the jingling sound of the silver coins inside, smiling broadly. Despite his fierce appearance with a brawny face and a big beard, the boss was indeed a very kind person.

Only then did the butcher shop boss notice a red-haired girl standing behind Tianmiao. Well, this girl, though not tall, gave off a very spirited and imposing aura. She wore ankle boots and was draped in a dark red cloak, with a dagger by her waist. She should, possibly, be able to protect Tianmiao, right?

"Is this young lady your sister?" The butcher shop boss, certain he hadn’t seen this girl around town, asked curiously. Had one of Tianmiao’s relatives come? But no, this girl’s amber eyes and fiery red hair were clearly not from the same lineage as Tianmiao’s black hair and eyes.

"Ah, she’s a sucker," Tianmiao casually remarked, then waved at the boss, "Boss, make sure to deliver it to my home later. I’m off to buy honey."

"Alright, alright." The butcher shop boss didn’t understand what Tianmiao meant by ’sucker’ and didn’t bother to figure it out.

Tianmiao and Fei’er walked away, and Fei’er asked Tianmiao, "Little Tianmiao, what does ’sucker’ mean?"

"It means beautiful big sister. It’s how we say it back home," Tianmiao explained earnestly.

"Wow!" Fei’er exclaimed happily and then curiously asked, "Little Tianmiao, where is your hometown? Is everyone in your tribe black-haired and black-eyed?"

"My hometown is far away. Yes, our tribe is all black-haired and black-eyed," Tianmiao casually said, "Let’s go buy some stuff—honey and then visit the place that sells seeds."

"Buying seeds? Are you planning to grow flowers?" Fei’er naturally made the connection.

"No." They were now at the grocery store. Tianmiao asked the boss for two jars of honey. Just as she was about to pay, a voice interrupted.

"I’ll pay for her." The speaker’s tone was assertive.

Tianmiao turned to look at the speaker and smiled, "Miss Yuri." Yuri was the mayor’s daughter, with chestnut hair and a face full of freckles.

"Tianmiao, there’s no need for formalities. Just call me sister. After all, we’ll be family in the future," Yuri stepped up and said with a smile.

Tianmiao: "..." Sometimes in the West, people were so direct it left her unsure of how to respond. They weren’t reserved; if they liked something, they’d express it directly. But this young lady was really too straightforward and too confident.
