Peace does not come to a man who refuses to declare war on what is destroying him.

Ashley’s mind went blank.

She opened her mouth, unable to snap out of it for a long time.

President?

What The Guardian just said... was it the US President?

What did he mean by whether she was interested or not?

Did this mean... letting her be President?

"Sir, you... you must be joking?" She gave a dry chuckle. "I still have quite a bit of status in the business World, and many people curry favor with me, but that’s all thanks to you."

"I’m just a high-level corporate wage slave, and you want me to be President? That’s not a funny joke at all!"

"I’m not joking." Hillel shook his head. "I’m just asking if you’re interested!"

"If you’re interested, I can prop you up to be President."

It wasn’t just Ashley who was dazed.

Even Soldier Boy on the side couldn’t help speaking up.

"Bro!"

With an incredulous look on his face, he said, "We’re not discussing dogs working as police dogs here, we’re talking about the President, who the hell is the head honcho of the Western Hemisphere. This isn’t child’s play!"

"The head honcho of the Western Hemisphere, isn’t that just a dog?"

Hillel said it as a matter of course. "It’s as if the President could be all that noble—isn’t he just a dog pushed forward by the conglomerates?!"

"As long as I want to, I can replace him at any time... physically, politically, and temporally!"

Hillel’s eyes lit up with red light.

His Omega Beams seemed to be getting stronger and stronger, and he could even faintly see a person’s life trajectory through those eyes.

Soldier Boy was actually left speechless.

"Your appetite is quite big, do you want to be Napoleon?" Soldier Boy smacked his lips.

"An emperor, right?" Hillel chuckled. "I have no interest in that position. Let ordinary people rule ordinary people; our position is not among the mundane."

He turned around, his back to the morning wind of the tall building.

"Why should I prop someone up?"

"Because the current President will definitely shield those criminals. Those people who went to the island occupy half of America’s territory. Once they are all removed, society will indeed become turbulent."

"However, I just happen to have a ton of connections. Those people are true lords holding millions of pounds!"

Hillel gave a crucked smile.

It was time for the old-timers to exert their strength.

Soldier Boy and Ashley exchanged glances, neither knowing if Hillel had gone mad or if they had gone mad.

"These people I know are willing to give me respect and clean up the mess."

Hillel continued, "With them taking action, those removed positions will be quickly filled and digested, without causing too much turbulence to people’s livelihoods."

"Even America after a reshuffle might be better than it is now."

"But why should I go through all this thankless effort?"

"Unless! America is right in my hands."

"I have public opinion, the masses are willing to follow me; aren’t they willing to let me be Regent?"

"Then I will shoulder this responsibility."

"I will nominate an obedient President."

"And then, you!!"

He looked at Ashley, his gaze calm.

"You will announce to the entire World that I, The Guardian, will become the legitimate Regent of America."

Ashley’s mind went blank.

From just now until now, she still hadn’t reacted.

Where am I?

Who am I?

What was I going to do again?

She could never have imagined that this was a heaven-shaking layout conceived by The Guardian in just a few words.

This... can this really work?

"You don’t need to worry about public opinion."

Hillel saw through her doubts. "Coincidentally, don’t we have Sister Sage? She’s been working at Vought for a while now, right!"

"Keeping her in the Crime Investigation Department all this time is a bit of a waste of talent. I’ll transfer her over to be your advisor."

"With her managing the campaign, you will win the general election in a very short time and successfully enter the White House."

Ashley’s knees went soft, and she almost knelt down directly.

God Father!

Is that you, God Father!!

She abruptly raised her head, as if dazed by a huge cake, the ambition in the depths of her eyes burning wildly.

If she couldn’t believe in herself, could she still not believe in The Guardian?

Right?

Is there anything The Guardian hasn’t succeeded in doing?

President!

The President of the United States!

That was a position she wouldn’t even dare to dream of in her entire life.

"Sir!"

Her voice was trembling. "I want to get ahead so badly! I want to... be President so badly!"

"If I can really be President..."

Almost on the verge of crying, she hardened her heart.

Fuck!! This lady is going to gamble on this one!!!

What Stormfront! What Edgar! What garbage Homelander... Oh, even as President, you can’t afford to mess with this one.

"I guarantee that even if you make me lick your shoes (not actual shoes), I’m willing!"

Hillel nodded with satisfaction.

Licking shoes won’t be necessary.

He had another candidate for this line of business.

Ambition was the best reins.

A person who was ambitious, utterly devoted to him, and whom he personally pulled up from the mud—using such a person was truly comfortable!

"Go, call Sister Sage over."

...

The Sage was called into Hillel’s office.

Seeing this slightly plump, unconventionally-featured African American bisexual woman, Soldier Boy finally understood why Hillel gave her such a nickname.

What made the old popsicle even more unable to keep a straight face was that the other person’s ability was Super Intelligence. Soldier Boy scoffed in his mind.

A race lacking an evolutionary link at the genetic level awakened Super Intelligence? Before injecting Compound V, was this woman mentally disabled?

Soldier Boy’s lips curved up, but he still held it in.

Can’t laugh.

He was a hero!

"How have you been doing at Vought recently?" Hillel asked leisurely.

The Sage didn’t exchange any pleasantries and got straight to the point.

"Not bad! However, for the famous The Guardian himself to personally name-hire me, I’m afraid it’s not just to give me a retirement job, right?"

"Go on."

"You arranged for me to enter the Crime Investigation Department, which is a department responsible for handling all Supe criminal cases! Logically speaking, your purpose is control!"

"To control every major case that makes the news, especially major Supe criminal cases."

"All cases unfavorable to you must be suppressed, while all cases that can showcase your justice can be pushed to the forefront."

"This is to build a persona!!"

She raised her head and looked at Hillel.

"Am I right?"

Hillel raised an eyebrow.

It wasn’t that she was right, it was just completely off the mark.

He recruited Sister Sage into Vought simply because he remembered there was such a person, making it convenient to call upon her whenever needed later.

"You accepted interviews, angrily rebuked Congress, and even took down Little St. James Island... Every move you make walks on the edge of a knife, seemingly a single misstep away from complete ruin..."

"Yet every time, you precisely seized the maximum possible benefit under that situation."

Sage looked as if she had seen one of her own kind.

"Guardian, I have a deduction."

"I’m afraid you, just like me, possess... Super Intelligence!"

Hillel was stunned for a moment.

He almost couldn’t keep a straight face.

Whether I have Super Intelligence is hard to say, but yours is somewhat off.

"Uh this..."

"I might... have it?"

Hillel touched his chin.

Does super prediction count?
