The Boys: Viltrumite Bloodline Panel
Chapter 113: Hillel: Ashley, Are You Interested In The White House?
Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are.
~ Benjamin Franklin
_____
In the cosmic void of the Universe, Hillel could produce distorted fluctuations with a casual wave of his hand.
The mass behind this punch of his was terrifying.
His strength had grown a bit stronger, but it was still not quite enough.
The second stop was a black hole.
Hillel spent three days flying to the edge of a distant galaxy, where there was a medium-mass black hole.
This kind of thing was dime-a-dozen in popular science documentaries.
But having Hillel look for one himself was a real headache.
A black hole was one of the most terrifying entities in the Universe; even light could not escape from its gravity.
Hillel hovered at the edge of the black hole’s accretion disk, feeling that terrifying tidal force, as if it wanted to tear him into wisps of elementary particles.
But Hillel’s cells were tough and his genes were stable; he could resist even attacks on the atomic level.
The training he needed to do was to move against this gravity and approach the event horizon of the black hole.
This was a dual test of strength and defense.
Every inch he got closer, that gravitational pull doubled crazily, dragging at every part of his body in an attempt to turn him into an infinitely long noodle.
This thing was a longevity noodle in the true sense of the word.
Hillel gritted his teeth, his bones creaking like an aging machine.
This sense of suffocation bordering on Death was precisely the nourishment of the Viltrumite Bloodline. The closer to Death he was, the more crazily his cells would evolve and upgrade, and then they would be locked in at their toughest moment.
What Hillel had to do was get closer to the black hole’s event horizon than Nolan, until his fingertips almost touched that boundary.
To accomplish all this, Hillel did not even know how much time had passed.
"Mm... Almost there!"
Hillel took a deep breath, feeling his body grow a step stronger. With a sudden stomp of his foot and explosive power exceeding the speed of light, he forcefully escaped from the black hole’s gravitational trap.
Black holes devour time and superluminal transitions should cancel out, right? I remember Nolan also escaped from the black hole’s event horizon.
The accretion disk of the black hole produced a momentary distortion due to the recoil of that single kick of his.
It worked!
Hillel could clearly feel that his strength had surpassed its original planetary level.
Only, he did not know how far he was from the major planetary level.
He needed stronger battles to stimulate himself for further improvement.
[Ability Points: 628,335 / 2,000,000]
620,000 plus Ability Points.
Still not enough.
It was far from two million, so he would just farm them slowly. Anyway, he lived for a very long time and could keep grinding Ability Points in The Boys World.
It was just that Lv.6 was clearly the final level.
When this level was exceeded, what kind of missions would the system issue again?
Hillel shook his head; thinking about it was meaningless, and Big Brother System wouldn’t speak up anyway.
Hillel returned to Earth.
Only half a month had passed in Earth time.
Just as Hillel stepped into his office with one foot, Soldier Boy came knocking on the door with the other.
This old popsicle was truly accurate at finding people.
"Your business trip this time was really long enough. I pried out the things you wanted."
Soldier Boy slapped a file of materials onto the desk.
"Epstein’s mouth was even harder than I imagined, but he obviously didn’t understand what a Supe is!" Soldier Boy said coldly.
Hillel opened the paper bag and glanced at the contents inside.
That was a densely packed list.
As a normal Supe, Soldier Boy’s execution was definitely of top-tier standard.
In that list, Hillel even recognized a few, including politicians, judges, entrepreneurs, celebrities, and even a few respectable figures; they had all been to that island.
Some were even sponsors, so there was no need to mention what kind of nature that had.
"What do you plan to do with these people? Blackmail can yield the maximum benefits, and Vought will possess capital that never falls!"
Hillel put down the list. "As long as I don’t fall, Vought won’t fall. If I want to blackmail people for money, I have my own candidates; this bunch of people should be sent for trial!"
Soldier Boy’s eyes lit up.
"However, we must protect the parties involved first."
Hillel considered things comprehensively. "I plan to post a public inquiry on my personal website and simultaneously have the foundation contact those victims to ask if they are willing to sue the people on the list."
"Has Epstein been assassinated?"
Soldier Boy nodded and said, "There were six Supes who broke in attempting to assassinate the insider, but..."
"Killed?"
"Right."
"Well done."
Hillel nodded.
"So we cannot make decisions for those victims; they have to nod themselves. This thing carries risks."
Soldier Boy turned around to look for Ashley.
...
After Ashley finished reading that list, her face turned pale with fright.
Still the ultimate stress-resistance king.
"Sir... Once this list is made public, it might cause extreme turmoil."
"Every single name on here has an intricate web of interests intertwined behind it. Once exposed, the entire America might end up... turned upside down."
She had seen too many public relations crises, but this time the volume already far exceeded the scope of a crisis.
Little St. James Island had just a few masterminds arrested, and the turmoil caused by that was already not small.
But this list truly blew open half of America’s domain.
This fucking thing was a nuclear bomb!!
"Turned upside down? That’s a good thing!" said Hillel.
"Think about it with your brain."
Hillel floated to the window with his hands behind his back. "We hold the power. In the World, no one is more powerful than me, than Homelander, than Soldier Boy!"
"And only we are using these powers to uphold fairness and represent justice!"
"Would I be afraid? Some beasts, their bones should just be crushed and thrown into a furnace to be calcined into slag!"
"Make it public."
Hillel’s tone was resolute and decisive.
Back when his strength was eight tons, he still put on an act with you.
Now that he can swim like a dragon in a black hole, why would he still indulge this bunch of beasts?
"Tell the people of the World!"
"No matter which outcome those victims ultimately choose, whether to sue or remain silent!"
"I respect their choice."
"But The Guardian never compromises!"
"I will use my own method to solve this matter, even if it triggers a top-down The Great Purge!"
Hillel slightly clenched his fists, and the window in front of him burst and shattered.
Ashley stared blankly at the man in front of her.
Her inner self was once again dominated by her kind personality. She had done public relations for so many years and handled many dirty things, but she just couldn’t see through Hillel.
Was he truly willing to administer justice, or was this once again a well-planned large-scale PR event?
No matter which one it was.
The Guardian was practicing justice.
"I... I understand!" Ashley nodded heavily. "I’ll go arrange it right away!"
Soldier Boy remained completely silent throughout.
"What can I say?"
He originally thought that The Guardian daring to bombard the Capitol was already a very bold act.
As a result, where did this even compare?
He was about to fiercely ravage half of America’s domain.
This was a powerful political force; placed in the World, it could stir up winds and clouds of turmoil, and even trigger unpredictable shocks!
This fucking kid was a real man!
A true hero!!
Looking at The Guardian at this moment, the old soldier felt as if he had picked up something he had lost all over again.
"Right, Ashley!"
Hillel suddenly called out to her and asked a question.
Ashley’s brain crashed on the spot.
"Are you interested in that position inside the White House?"
"The... White House?" She turned her head, looking blank. "Sir, are you saying... the PR department is moving to Washington?"
"That should be fine. Our funds have been quite abundant recently. Your solo movie had a global box office of 3 billion dollars, already surpassing Titanic"..."
"I am talking about the White House, Ashley!" Hillel emphasized.
"The President, that loose-assed old man, I’m talking about the seat he sits in, are you interested?"
