Chapter 294: Am I Asking Too Much?

After a few minutes, Zachary finally felt a little calmer. He rested his back against the seat and looked out through the car window. Buildings and vehicles passed by as the car continued toward the restaurant, but his mind stayed focused on one person: his wife.

He couldn’t stop thinking about her. He remembered the calm way she spoke to him over the phone.

Although she sounded affectionate and relaxed, he still wondered whether she was hiding her discomfort.

Zachary knew Sienna well enough to understand that she didn’t always tell him when something bothered her. She preferred handling problems herself, especially when she believed she could deal with them without troubling him. But this time, he didn’t want her to handle everything alone.

Jessica had already crossed a line by coming to his wife’s café, asking to meet her, and Zachary had no intention of letting it happen again.

He glanced at the time on his phone before looking out the window once more.

His only thought now was to reach The Secret Garden, see Sienna with his own eyes, and make sure she was all right. No matter what had happened while he was away, he wanted to be there for her.

When the car finally arrived at The Secret Garden Resto and Café, the first person Zachary saw was Logan, his former driver and bodyguard, who now worked for his wife.

"Master," Logan greeted him as he opened the car door.

Zachary stepped out, straightened his suit, and immediately asked, "Where’s my wife?"

"Madam is in her office. I can walk you inside," Logan said, stepping aside to give him room.

"It’s fine," Zachary replied as he started toward the main entrance. "I can find her myself."

He had only taken a few steps when he stopped and turned back to Logan. ℯℯ𝘭.

His expression became serious again as he said, "Call Brad and ask him to arrange security throughout this entire place. I don’t want people like that woman and her manager getting in such proximity that they may harm my wife."

"Yes, sir. I’ll call him right away," Logan answered. He bowed slightly before taking out his phone, while Zachary continued toward the entrance.

When Zachary entered the café, Mia, who was still there, noticed him immediately. She quickly walked over to greet him.

"Welcome, sir."

Zachary stopped and nodded at her. "Mia, you’re my wife’s best friend. There’s no need to speak so formally to me."

Mia smiled nervously. "I know, but these are my working hours, so I don’t have a choice..." She glanced toward the back of the café before pointing in the direction of Sienna’s office. "Ugh, Sienna is in her office."

"Thank you," Zachary said simply.

He continued walking toward the back door, leaving Mia standing there with a small smile. She watched him for a moment before returning to her work.

Zachary finally reached the hallway leading to Sienna’s office. He was about to knock when the door suddenly opened from the inside.

Sienna appeared in the doorway, and the moment she saw him, surprise flashed across her face. She hadn’t expected him to arrive so quickly, but the surprise quickly turned into a warm smile.

"You already arrived...?" she asked.

Zachary’s expression softened when he saw her. He nodded slightly, looking at her with obvious affection.

"I told you, I’m not far from your place. I guess you’re already hungry?" He smiled.

Sienna returned his smile and nodded. "Hmm, I am hungry now. My work is done, so I was planning to go home after having lunch with you."

"Then we’ll go right away." Zachary naturally raised his hand and gently caressed her cheek. His touch was warm and familiar, and Sienna’s smile grew wider. "Go ahead and take your bag."

"Hmm..."

Zachary waited in the doorway while Sienna walked back into her office to collect her things.

As he stood there, his eyes wandered around the room. He looked at the desk, the shelves, and the few personal items Sienna had placed around the office.

Then, as if he had suddenly remembered something important, he looked at her. "Do you have anything for me as an opening gift?"

Sienna laughed as she picked up her bag and walked toward him. "No need. You already gave me this place. It’s the best gift you could give me."

Zachary smiled, but he still didn’t seem satisfied with her answer. When Sienna reached him, he took her hand naturally, intertwining their fingers as they walked down the hallway together.

"That’s different," he said. "Tell me what you want. I’ll give you whatever it is."

Sienna glanced at him, then thought about his words. She knew Zachary meant it. If she asked him for something, he would probably find a way to give it to her without hesitation. That made her wonder what she could possibly ask for when he had already given her so much.

After thinking for a moment, she finally looked at him.

"Maybe you can help promote this place?"

Zachary looked at her with a slightly surprised expression before letting out a brief laugh.

Sienna immediately felt a little embarrassed. She had thought her request was reasonable, but his reaction suddenly made her wonder if she had asked for too much.

"Am I asking too much?" she asked, looking at him carefully.

"No. Of course not," Zachary replied. "But you don’t have to ask me. I already did it anyway."

Sienna’s eyes widened. "You already did?"

Zachary only smiled as they continued walking.

Sienna wanted to ask him what he had done, but before she could, they reached the main area of the café. She decided to wait. She didn’t want to leave without saying goodbye to Mia and the rest of the staff, especially since this was an important day for her business.

She greeted Mia first and thanked her for everything she had done. She also said goodbye to the other staff members before finally leaving the café with Zachary, their hands still joined.
