The Bigshot Married Himself to the Heiress

Chapter 1411: Settling in Sileria City

Paige turned on the bedside lamp and saw the man who appeared slightly haggard yet full of energy.

“I’ve moved the things you and Dylan use here. The Johnson Family place is too small. We’ll go house hunting tomorrow. It’s not good to keep living in someone else’s home.”

If they were planning to settle long-term, moving house was a necessity.

Hearing his words, Paige understood he really didn’t plan to return to Abyanabad and asked, “Why?”

“Why what?”

“Why not be the Sultan anymore?”

Kiya explained, “Because I don’t want to be apart from you, because I’m scared, because I miss you… for many reasons.

Paige, this time, I really don’t plan to go back.

The Queen Dowager remains in Abyanabad. She has no opportunity to interfere in our lives, and she certainly can’t harm you.

Paige, give me another chance, okay?

This time, I absolutely won’t let you down.”

“…”

“Paige, let’s grow old together here slowly, okay?”

His words were so beautiful, they felt unreal to Paige. She stared at Kiya, not blinking, trying to discern his true intentions through his eyes.

“I don’t believe your nonsense! But I want to tell you, I won’t be fooled. No matter what you do, this time, I absolutely will not follow you back to Abyanabad.”

“I’m not going back. I don’t want to anymore… It’s nice here; when we were in Blackwood, I was happy.”

Paige scoffed, “Your body’s here, but your heart’s in Abyanabad. Does that mean anything?”

“My body is here, and my heart is here too! If you don’t believe me, let time prove everything.”

Last time, Kiya indeed couldn’t let go, so even while in Orienta, he kept a close watch over things there.

This time, Kiya won’t do that.

Abyanabad, he has entrusted it to Randall. The Queen Dowager, he has also arranged properly. Abyanabad has nothing for him to worry about anymore.

With Kiya causing such a fuss, Paige found it impossible to sleep.

She had thought that after their big fight, where he left her in Sileria City and ignored her, that he wouldn’t be the Sultan anymore, wanting to settle here with her.

Paige couldn’t quite understand what she felt at that moment.

She couldn’t determine if Kiya had ulterior motives, but she knew one thing: she would never return to the Abyanabad Imperial Palace.

Thinking this way made Paige feel enlightened.

Paige turned over and continued to sleep, utterly ignoring Kiya.

Kiya felt a slight depression in his heart, but it quickly vanished. He optimistically thought: At least Paige hadn’t kicked him off the bed, right?

“Good night, my queen!” Kiya extended his long arm and pulled the woman into his embrace.

Smelling her scent, Kiya’s all-time anxious heart suddenly calmed down. He knew this woman hadn’t forgiven him, but they were together now, and he had all the time in the world, didn’t he?

If not one year, two years; if not two years, three years… or maybe a lifetime.

Always troubled by insomnia, Kiya, this time, soon fell into a deep sleep.

…

In the morning, at half-past seven,

Kiya suddenly appeared at the Johnson Family’s dining table. Sienna Johnson was startled; when had this man shown up? Besides, hadn’t Kiya and Paige had a falling out?

She saw the two sitting together, quietly eating their meal. Could it be they had reconciled?

Sienna Johnson had a belly full of questions, wanting to ask but not knowing where to start.

She glanced at Adrian Desmond beside her, who was silently eating and completely ignoring Kiya.

Sienna Johnson ate two dumplings and couldn’t help it. She felt some things needed clarification.

“Sultan, may I ask why you are here?”

Kiya replied, “Paige and I will be out house hunting today and will move out soon.”

The words sounded as if she were trying to drive them away. Sienna Johnson absolutely didn’t mean that.

“You’ve misunderstood me; I wasn’t trying to kick you two out. I…”

Kiya said, “Paige and I plan to settle here long-term, so we’ve moved our stuff from Abyanabad. The Johnson Family place is too small, we need to find a new place.

Sister-in-law, do you know of any places bigger than the Johnson Family house by two or three times with a nicer environment?”

The Johnson Family house was already large. A place two or three times bigger… that could only be a park or some other public facility owned by the Government.

Paige pondered over Kiya’s words. Actually, she also wanted to move out. It wasn’t that the Johnson Family treated her poorly, but it felt inappropriate to stay long-term.

She, a married woman, staying at her brother’s house was already unsuitable, let alone the fact that it wasn’t her brother’s house but her sister-in-law’s.

Finally, Adrian Desmond spoke, “Have you really abdicated, or is it fake?”

“Of course it’s true.”

“Why?”

Kiya looked at Adrian Desmond and said, “For the same reason you stayed in Sileria City.”

Adrian Desmond looked at his sister and asked, “What about you? What do you think?” Adrian was asking Paige if she had forgiven Kiya.

Paige raised her eyes to meet Adrian’s concerned gaze.

Their parents had passed away early, and Paige had little memory of them. Adrian was like a father figure. Thanks to his protection, she lived a privileged and wealthy life despite being an orphan.

Paige no longer wanted her brother to worry about her.

“If he is willing to stay in Sileria City with me, then I am willing to continue with him. After all, Dylan and Ella would grow up better with their father’s companionship.”

No matter how many grievances existed between her and Kiya, since Kiya was willing to let go, Paige’s thoughts really weren’t that important; Kiya simply wouldn’t listen.

If so, she’d just take it one step at a time.

If he was willing to stay in Sileria City, let him stay; if one day he regretted it and wanted to leave, he could go. However, she absolutely would not return to the Imperial Palace.

“Paige.” Kiya was overjoyed, looking at Paige with such tenderness that it could almost be pinched out.

Sienna Johnson saw that Kiya truly loved Paige. The issue between them was just a mother-in-law and daughter-in-law problem.

Now they’ve come to Sileria City, far away from the Queen Dowager, maybe they could find happiness.

Sienna Johnson knew the difficulties of a single woman with a child. When she was alone with Curly, the gossip she endured was unbearable. Luckily, Curly was too young then to hear any of it.

Sienna Johnson said, “The house next door to the Johnson Family is Adrian’s property, and it’s been vacant. You could consider it.”

Pauline Briggs liked Paige very much and said, “Yes, the house next door is empty anyway; you should move there.

With it being so close, you can meet whenever you want. If you move far away, it won’t be easy to meet up.”

Paige also thought it was a good idea and asked, “Brother, how much are you planning to sell that house for?”
