The Bigshot Married Himself to the Heiress
Chapter 1398: Almost Cost a Life
Chapter 1398: Chapter 1338: Almost Cost a Life
“You…you…” Boss White was so angry he couldn’t speak.
“Anyway, my wife passed away. If you think I took advantage of your daughter, I’ll marry her. How about that?” Justin Harris said.
It wasn’t good when he said that. As soon as he did, Boss White charged at Justin Harris, the two were about the same age, and this bastard actually wanted to be his son-in-law.
“You old lech, not only did you take advantage of my daughter, but you also want to marry her!”
Boss White spat in Justin Harris’s face and cursed, “Pah, you toad, dreaming of eating swan meat! Take a look at yourself, you’re nothing!”
Justin Harris wiped the spit off his face and said cheerily, “I know I don’t deserve your flower-like daughter. Look, I’m willing to take responsibility and marry her, but you’re not willing…
How about I compensate you with some money?”
“…”
“Name your price then, how much for sleeping with your daughter once?” Justin Harris said cheerfully.
Justin Harris’s words hurt Boss White’s face more than a physical blow; if Boss White really accepted the money, what would become of him? And what about Elsa White?
“Call the police, call the police! I’m going to send you to jail!” Boss White shouted, raving mad.
Justin Harris was truly unafraid and said, “Alright, then call the police. Anyway, when I f***ed your daughter, she screamed louder than anyone…”
“…”
“Don’t think I took that much advantage of your daughter; your daughter isn’t a virgin anymore. That wild enthusiasm in bed, who knows how many men have trained her.”
“Justin Harris, I’m going all out with you!”
Justin Harris dodged, “Let’s just talk civilly, let’s talk civilly; we’re all civilized people here.”
A young man came over, holding a long overcoat in his hand, and draped it over Justin Harris. But the coat was clearly not Justin Harris’s; with his stout figure, he couldn’t possibly wear it.
“Dad, why are you causing trouble again?”
It turned out the young man was Justin Harris’s son, Caleb Harris.
Caleb Harris didn’t resemble his father at all. Of medium height, he looked refined, had regular features, wasn’t fat or thin, clearly someone who regularly went to the gym.
“Son, your father is wronged. You must stand up for me this time.”
“Dad, go to the back and change your clothes first; you look ridiculous like this.” Caleb Harris remained calm throughout and didn’t show any embarrassment having such a disgraceful father.
Boss White looked at Caleb Harris, feeling somewhat uncomfortable; Boss White initially planned to introduce him to his daughter, but then this situation arose.
“Oh, alright.” Justin Harris was obedient to his dear son.
Seeing Justin Harris about to leave, Boss White picked up a knife from the ground, intending to chop him, but Caleb Harris stopped him.
“Caleb Harris, move aside! That shameless old man bullied my daughter; I’m going to kill him.” Boss White said.
Caleb Harris calmly said, “Boss White, could we speak in private?”
“Caleb Harris, I know that old lecher is your dad, but he bullied my daughter; I won’t let him off.”
“Boss White, I want to talk about your daughter’s affairs in Westoria; I assume you wouldn’t want me discussing them in front of everyone here?” Caleb Harris held the hand wielding the knife and looked Boss White in the eye, with a tone carrying a threat.
Boss White quietly said, “What do you want to say?”
“Miss White is a woman, and a woman’s reputation is most important. Let’s find a private place to discuss.”
Boss White knew Caleb Harris was much more reliable than his father and wasn’t one to speak nonsense. Judging by Caleb Harris’s expression, his daughter’s matters in Westoria were likely not good news.
“Alright!” Boss White threw the kitchen knife to the ground and followed Caleb Harris.
Caleb Harris smiled and said, “It was a misunderstanding; everyone, please disperse.”
Caleb Harris glanced at Sienna Johnson, nodded at her, and left with Boss White.
Sienna Johnson took another look at Caleb Harris, which displeased Adrian Desmond, who said, “Look again, and I’ll gouge out your eyes!”
Sienna Johnson glared at Adrian Desmond, frowned, and said, “I’ll deal with you when we get home!”
Adrian Desmond: …
…
The charity gala was naturally about donations. Sienna Johnson donated 450 thousand in cash and another 750 thousand worth of medications.
Paige Desmond saw the large donation from Sienna Johnson and whispered, “Sister-in-law, Eastminster Group’s market value is only over 1.5 million; you donated such a large amount at once, that’s too generous.”
Sienna Johnson smiled and said, “The cash donation wasn’t much; the bulk was the medications. This batch of over 750 thousand worth of medications will be donated across many impoverished provinces and districts. Eastminster Pharmaceutical Factory’s many affordable medications are needed in those less affluent areas.”
Sienna Johnson had another idea, to create an online marketplace platform similar to an e-commerce site, which would sell only medications. The clients would be medical institutions nationwide or other group clients, not retail businesses, as retail costs are too high.
All of this requires time and significant manpower, resources, and finances. Luckily, Sienna Johnson now has the ability.
She will do what her father always wanted to but couldn’t; she will fulfill her father’s wishes, showing everyone that even if Dexter Johnson fathered daughters, they are no lesser than sons.
Graham Robertson approached Sienna Johnson, and she greeted him with, “President Robertson, I wanted to say hello immediately upon entering, but you always had people around.”
Graham Robertson, a forthright person, said, “I’m retiring, everyone’s probing me for information. How about you; do you plan to become president?”
Sienna Johnson replied, “A soldier who doesn’t aspire to be a general isn’t a good soldier.”
“Then run for election, I’ll vote for you.”
Sienna Johnson laughed, “Well, thank you in advance, President Robertson.”
“Your mother’s Osmanthus wine is delicious, just bring a few jars along.” Graham Robertson watched Sienna Johnson and asked, “I wonder if your mother would be willing?”
“Just a few jars of Osmanthus wine; my mom would naturally be willing.”
Graham Robertson looked at Sienna Johnson, his gaze seemingly past her, reminiscing, “I’ve always envied your father; he was a fortunate man.”
Discussing Dexter Johnson, Sienna Johnson couldn’t smile anymore.
“Unfortunately, my father passed too early…” If not for Sabrina Johnson, her father would have still been alive now.
Seeing how happy she is, her father would surely be delighted for her;
seeing how well she manages the Eastminster Group, her father would surely be proud of her.
All of this was destroyed by Sabrina Johnson, Sienna Johnson tightly clutched the wine glass in her hand, a sharp glint flashing in her eyes.
“Sister-in-law, President Robertson is talking to you…” Paige Desmond shook Sienna Johnson’s arm to remind her.
Sienna Johnson came back to her senses, awkwardly smiled, and said, “Sorry, you mentioned my father earlier, and I started thinking about him.”
