The Bigshot Married Himself to the Heiress
Chapter 1386 - 1326: Driven Out of the Johnson Family
"What’s it to me?" Adrian Desmond spat out a curse word directly.
Elliott Wilson smiled and said, "Mr. Desmond, you might not know Kevin Taylor’s temperament very well. If you push him too hard, he might do anything.
I know your people are all skilled in martial arts... But as the saying goes, it’s not the thieves you should be afraid of; it’s that they won’t stop thinking about you. I think it’s better to keep Kevin Taylor in sight."
"..."
"This way, he won’t be able to do any harm. Mr. Desmond, don’t you agree?"
Adrian Desmond’s sharp gaze shot towards Kevin Taylor, and he asked, "What? Do you plan on stealing Claire away?"
"She was my wife to begin with; there’s no stealing. Where’s Claire? I’m going to see her."
Kevin Taylor left the room full of people to find Claire, not waiting for Adrian Desmond’s word, Sally followed him.
Elliott Wilson turned to see Sally and said with a smile, "I’m going to live with the Johnson Family from now on, it seems we’ll be seeing each other often."
Sally frowned, "Can’t you see the Johnson Family doesn’t welcome you?"
"I saw that."
"Then why don’t you leave?"
Elliott Wilson laughed and grabbed Sally’s hand, which startled Sally. She quickly pulled her hand back, looked around, and breathed a sigh of relief seeing no one noticed.
"Have you no shame?"
"Of course I have! How else would I get a wife?" Elliott Wilson looked at Sally with an unabashed gaze, full of humor.
Sally had never been in love, and the only time she felt anything was a secret crush.
She had no experience dealing with men like Elliott Wilson.
Kevin Taylor walked ahead while Elliott Wilson and Sally followed. Elliott Wilson lowered his voice and said to Sally, "Kevin’s nature is particularly stubborn. He won’t rest until he achieves his goal, no matter what you oppose."
Sally scoffed loudly, with disdain, "What are you guys? Pirates? I’ve never seen such shameless people as you."
Sally quickened her pace and blocked Kevin Taylor’s path, "Please leave, now!"
"I won’t!" Kevin Taylor didn’t listen.
Sally pulled out a dagger, and Elliott Wilson stood in front of Kevin Taylor, seeing Sally was really angry, he said with a smile,
"Calm down, let’s talk this out!"
"Leave immediately!" Sally said bluntly.
Marion arrived with his men, seeing Sally and Elliott Wilson on the verge of a showdown, he aimed his gun directly at Kevin Taylor.
"Sixth Master’s orders, leave immediately!" Marion said expressionlessly.
Elliott Wilson blocked Marion’s gun, seeing Kevin protected behind him, he raised his hands, saying, "Let’s talk it out, no one needs to shoot."
Marion fired directly, the bullet hitting the ground near Elliott Wilson’s feet, "Don’t think just because General Taylor is here that we don’t dare to provoke you—"
"..."
"The old man is getting on in years, sudden death is possible. You better go back and keep an eye on him."
That was a blatant threat.
Elliott Wilson had clashed with Sally before and knew well the prowess of these people; assassinating General Taylor wouldn’t be difficult for them.
If General Taylor died, Kevin Taylor would have no one to protect him.
Elliott Wilson thought for a moment and realized it would be impossible to stay here by force.
They were shameless but had met their match, and they wouldn’t gain any advantage.
"Alright, alright, we’ll go."
Elliott Wilson picked up Kevin Taylor, whispered a few words in his ear, and Kevin agreed to leave.
Sally didn’t trust them and personally escorted them out.
As they left the Johnson Family’s door, Elliott Wilson turned just as the door slammed shut.
Holding Kevin Taylor and looking at the tightly closed door, Elliott Wilson felt rather helpless, "Kevin, if I can’t get a wife, it’s definitely your fault."
"You not getting a wife is your fault; what’s it got to do with me?"
"It absolutely has everything to do with you—"
Kevin Taylor suddenly interrupted Elliott’s words, saying, "The door’s open—"
Elliott Wilson turned to see Sally standing at the door, and his heart leapt with joy, "Sally, did you come out because you missed me?"
Elliott was only joking, but seeing Sally step by step towards him, he held out some hope.
Sally reached them, shoved a card into Kevin Taylor’s embrace, and said, "Your card, keep it safe!"
It turned out to be the bank card Kevin had given to Sienna Johnson earlier.
As Sally left, the Johnson Family door closed once again. Elliott Wilson smiled reluctantly—they were truly hated by everyone.
Kevin Taylor said, "Let’s go, stick to the plan!"
"Okay."
...
The next morning, Sienna Johnson left for work and saw a tent in front of her house, a small gas stove beside it with porridge cooking.
She was puzzled, "What’s going on?"
Sally said, "I’ll go check it out."
Sally walked over and saw a head popping out of the tent—it was Elliott Wilson.
Elliott saw Sally, again in black clothes as he hadn’t seen her wear any other color.
"Good morning, beautiful."
Sally frowned.
With Melly being the type of stunning beauty to compare with, Sally’s looks weren’t particularly standout, so Elliott’s calling her beautiful made her uncomfortable.
"I’m not a beauty, my name is Sally."
"Sally..." Elliott called in a compliant voice, so smooth, that Sally’s face couldn’t help but turn red.
"Why are you here?"
"Oh, we’re homeless," Elliott said pitifully.
"You’re homeless, so go pitch your tent somewhere else? What are you doing outside the Johnson Family’s door? There’s a park nearby, why don’t you go there?" Sally demanded.
"Because there isn’t a Sally in the park."
"..."
"Sally, have you had breakfast yet? I made porridge, would you like some?"
Sally looked at Elliott, Elliott looked at Sally and blinked at her, trying to charm her, "Sally, I’ve discovered living here is pretty good, I get to see you every morning."
"Shameless!"
Sally returned to report to Sienna Johnson, who upon hearing this looked at the tent and couldn’t help but think of Kevin Taylor.
This was the coldest time of winter, at night temperatures could drop to minus seven or eight degrees; were they not afraid of getting sick?
Sienna Johnson walked over, Elliott Wilson was emerging from the tent and greeted her respectfully, "Morning, Mrs. Desmond."
"You stayed here last night?"
"That’s right. Our headquarters relocated, and yesterday afternoon, the General left with the troops. Kevin and I are homeless now, so we pitched a tent."
"..."
Elliott Wilson had particularly thick skin, "Mrs. Desmond, there’s no public restroom here. We’re staying at your doorstep, is it possible to let us use yours occasionally?"
Sally said, "Madam, this person is very thick-skinned, don’t let them in no matter what."
