"I think you must be mistaken," Sienna Johnson explained on behalf of Adrian Desmond.

"I’m not mistaken! It’s him who threw me into the mountains," Kevin Taylor said with certainty.

Sienna Johnson had no fondness for Kevin Taylor; even if his parents sacrificed for the country, it wasn’t a reason for him to nearly harm Claire.

Sienna Johnson’s voice was cold, "What do you want?"

Just as Sienna was about to suggest they call the police, Kevin said, "I want Claire to be my wife!"

Adrian Desmond strode in and said, "Absolutely impossible!"

Sienna Johnson stood up, looked at Adrian, explained the situation, and sought to know from him if he had indeed done what Kevin accused him of, but it was difficult with the Taylors present.

"Grandfather, let’s go to the police station. I want to charge this man with attempted murder!"

General Taylor stood up and said, "Fine! Let’s go! I don’t believe there’s no justice!"

"..."

"Elliott Wilson, isn’t the police chief of Sileria City surnamed Powell?" General Taylor shouted loudly.

Elliott Wilson said, "Yes, General."

"If it’s young Powell, that’s good. He used to be my guard. He’ll give me some face," General Taylor intentionally said this for Sienna Johnson to hear.

Sienna Johnson observed General Taylor’s familiarity with Director Powell of Sileria City; owing to his military background, he was not someone ordinary people could provoke.

However, Sienna Johnson did not plan to back down.

Sienna Johnson said, "General Taylor, wait a moment..."

Hearing hope, General Taylor lightly coughed, acting high and mighty, "Actually, we’re not petty people.

Adrian is going to be Kevin’s father-in-law in the future; it’s nothing to teach Kevin a lesson..."

Adrian Desmond interrupted General Taylor coldly, "I am not his father-in-law!"

Adrian discovered that having a daughter was troublesome; she wasn’t even grown up, and someone was already trying to steal her.

Looking at Kevin’s fearless eyes, Adrian thought: This boy is quite brave, not even afraid of him.

Sienna Johnson said, "General Taylor, Kevin kidnapped my daughter last time, gave her an overdose of sedatives, and nearly killed her. I haven’t even reported it to the police yet. Well, General Taylor is here, let’s go together."

Unexpectedly, this seemingly fragile woman was not easily intimidated, "You should think carefully... young Powell used to be my guard."

Sienna Johnson replied calmly, "I believe justice lives in people’s hearts."

The grandfather and grandson exchanged a glance; General Taylor wasn’t someone who abused power, nor did he want to be that type of person. Yet, he indulged his only mischievous grandson, tarnishing his own reputation.

Every time General Taylor thought of Claire’s incident, he felt remorse. Such a little girl almost died at his grandson’s hands.

General Taylor decided not to insist on going to the police, looked at Kevin, then at Adrian, and said, "Claire’s incident was indeed Kevin’s fault. Luckily, the child is okay. We’ve always wanted to compensate Claire..."

"..."

"A man should take responsibility for his actions...

How about having Kevin marry into your family."

"..."

"I’m not that old-fashioned; what’s wrong with marrying in? In this era, there’s no shame about it. Kevin and Claire can have several children; one to carry on our Taylor family line is fine."

"..."

General Taylor assessed Sienna Johnson, saying, "Daughters take after their mothers. You’ve had four children; I believe Claire can bear children too, at least two..."

Kevin, hard-headed, aging, who knows if he can see him grow up.

He had looked into it, the Johnsons had a good reputation, and although Claire was young, she seemed decent. Given Kevin’s lack of parents, getting close to the Johnsons wouldn’t be bad.

General Taylor’s gaze landed on Adrian Desmond. Adrian’s aura revealed he was no ordinary person; with Adrian watching over Kevin, Kevin wouldn’t cause trouble in the future.

With that thought, the slight discomfort of having his only grandson marry into another family faded away.

"Since you all have no objections, we’ll settle it this way."

Sienna Johnson, still in a daze, had not reacted when General Taylor pushed Kevin towards her, saying, "Kevin, you’ll live with the Johnson family from now on."

Kevin nodded calmly, "Okay, Grandpa."

Sienna Johnson: ...

"It’s not early, the military has things to attend to, I should leave, no need to stay for dinner."

"..."

"Kevin, listen to your in-laws," General Taylor advised his grandson.

"I know, Grandpa."

Adrian Desmond: ...

Sienna Johnson: ...

General Taylor walked with military vigor, exuding a general’s demeanor, and Sienna Johnson hurriedly called after him, "Old Master Taylor, wait a moment."

Old General Taylor appeared not to hear, striding out with his men, leaving Sienna Johnson with a headache.

Why was everyone so unreliable, just leaving children at someone else’s home.

"Kevin, your grandpa left, go and catch up to him," Sienna Johnson said to Kevin.

Kevin stood still, "Mother-in-law, I’m hungry."

Sienna Johnson: ...

Adrian Desmond was equally vexed, why are boys today so shameless, this Kevin was even more troublesome than George.

"Kevin, get out of here right now! Or I’ll throw you back into the mountains."

Kevin was unfazed by Adrian Desmond, "Throw me wherever, I’ll still get out. Last year, I went to the Middle East with the peacekeeping force... I’ve even killed people. So, dealing with kids won’t work on me."

"You’ve killed before?" Sienna Johnson gripped Adrian’s hand, instinctively wanting to throw this dangerous person out.

"I killed bad people! If I didn’t, they would have killed me!"

Adrian Desmond’s headache intensified, his soft-natured daughter, with a heart easily bullied, could never match well with someone like Kevin, who could easily bully her to death.

Kevin’s appearance was sinister, whether he’d commit domestic violence was uncertain.

"Get the hell out of here!"

"I’m not leaving!"

"..."

Kevin took out a card from his pocket and placed it in Sienna Johnson’s hand, "This is my inheritance from my grandfather, seems like a lot of money, consider it my living expenses, and the rest for Claire’s treats..."

Sienna Johnson: ...

Adrian Desmond ordered Sally, "Sally, throw this little brat out for me!"

"Yes, Sixth Master."

Sally stepped forward, but Elliott Wilson blocked her, smiling and said, "Mrs. Desmond, the General is heading to the camp in Sunterra tonight, if you throw Kevin out, he’ll be homeless..."
