The Bigshot Married Himself to the Heiress
Chapter 1372 - 1312: Confinement
"Queen Mother!"
Such a vicious curse, Kiya would not let the Queen Mother continue speaking. These words were like stabbing daggers into his chest.
He looked at the Queen Mother, only seeing disappointment in his eyes, a profound and unfathomable pain. The mother he loved most had destroyed his love, his happiness.
"Please stop speaking!"
"You won’t let me speak, but I insist on speaking! Look at what she’s become now? Originally willful and without discipline, not gentle nor obedient, and now even worse.
Look at how she dresses, neither manly nor feminine... in the Imperial Palace, she doesn’t even wear Abyanabad attire. She has always been so arrogant and capricious.
Kiya, let me tell you, if you continue to indulge her like this, who knows what trouble she’ll cause sooner or later."
"..."
"If she were hit by a car and died, it would be good for everyone!"
"Stop saying that!"
"In the beginning, I was against you marrying her. You wouldn’t listen and insisted on marrying her. Look at what she’s done? Flirting with other men, causing a scandal known to everyone, disgracing the Royal Family..."
The Queen Mother vented all her grievances about Paige Desmond, talking incessantly, causing Kiya such a headache that he couldn’t think straight.
He admitted his inability to even protect his wife. Now, with his wife and child gone from him, it was his punishment.
"Queen Mother, today you should go to the Salameh Mosque for reflection!"
This was Kiya’s decision regarding the Queen Mother.
Kiya still cherished the mother-son bond and didn’t hand the Queen Mother over to the Supreme Court to face legal consequences. However, the Queen Mother did not appreciate this leniency.
"What did you say?"
"..."
"Say it again!" The Queen Mother could hardly believe her ears. Her only son, into whom she had poured all her devotion, was actually planning to confine her.
"..."
"Why aren’t you speaking? Say it again!" the Queen Mother shouted.
Kiya spoke in a deep voice, "The matter of Queen Mother hiring someone to assassinate Paige, I plan to keep it hidden. However, the Queen Mother can no longer stay in the Imperial Palace. Otherwise, I can’t explain it to Paige."
The Salameh Mosque is a Royal Mosque, luxurious and scenic... in name, it was for the Queen Mother to go and reflect, but in such a place, she wouldn’t suffer at all.
Kiya, cherishing the mother-son relationship, had already gone easy on the Queen Mother.
"Queen Mother, when you do wrong, you must be punished!
You hired an assassin, but considering our mother-son bond and the dignity and honor of the Royal Family, I won’t hand you over to the Supreme Court for legal punishment. But you must go to the Salameh Mosque to atone for your sins."
In her anger, the Queen Mother dropped her cane, falling awkwardly to the ground. She shouted angrily, "Kiya, for that woman, you want to confine me!"
Seeing the Queen Mother fall, Kiya went over to help her, but the Queen Mother slapped him hard in the face. Kiya did not dodge, allowing that slap to quell any hesitation in his heart.
"I painstakingly raised you, and this is how you treat me... Kiya, you’ve broken my heart..." The Queen Mother said and then began to cry.
Kiya pursed his lips, remaining silent.
He silently helped the Queen Mother up, as she hit and scratched him again.
Already wounded, Kiya’s face became even more injured.
"Kiya, I am your mother. How can you treat me like this?
Do you forget when you had chickenpox as a child, and I cared for you day and night... there was a time you had a high fever at midnight and were delirious; your father and those women were out having fun, and it was I..." The Queen Mother patted her chest, crying, "It was I who stayed with you, caring for you..."
"..."
"Now you’ve grown up, and you don’t need me. For that woman, you don’t even want your mother..."
"..."
"Fine! Fine! Fine!" The Queen Mother said "fine" thrice, then fainted in a fit.
Kiya laid her down and called Gavin to fetch a doctor to treat her, then instructed the maids to pack the Queen Mother’s belongings, so she could move to the Salameh Mosque today.
Just as Kiya finished speaking, the fainted Queen Mother suddenly sat up, "Kiya, get out. I never want to see you again!"
After saying this out of anger, Kiya really turned and walked out.
The Queen Mother was dumbfounded.
Seeing Kiya reach the door, the Queen Mother cried, "Kiya, I was wrong. Please don’t send me to the Mosque. I’ll apologize to her, alright? Forgive me just this once..."
A thud came from behind; the Queen Mother fell from the bed, and Kiya paused his steps but did not turn back.
"Kiya, don’t send me to the Mosque. I know I was wrong. I’m your mother! How can you be so cruel to me?"
"..."
"I’ll do anything you want, just don’t send me there..."
The Queen Mother had lived a life of luxury and had never endured any hardship. No matter how grand the Salameh Mosque was, it couldn’t compare to the Abyanabad Imperial Palace.
Kiya hesitated for a moment but resolutely walked away.
"Kiya!" The Queen Mother, seeing Kiya truly leaving, cried out, wrenching and heartbroken.
"..."
"Kiya, I won’t go to the Mosque! I won’t go! I’d rather die here than go to the Mosque!"
...
The Salameh Mosque,
a building merging Mughal with Alennesse Renaissance styles, constructed with the utmost luxurious materials: pure gold domes, Alennesse marble, Brevon chandeliers, Saudi carpets, surrounded by moats, stone boats, gardens, small bridges, fountains, and symbolic plants, exuding a bit of classic Orienta garden feel. Under the afterglow of the sunset, it emanated a regal aura, leaving a lasting impression.
The mosque, named after the 28th Sultan of Abyanabad, was completed in 1958 but was so well-maintained it showed no sign of age.
It was truly beautiful here, and bringing the Queen Mother to this place could hardly be considered punishment, more like a retirement, though the Queen Mother completely disagreed.
"Let me go! Let me go!" The Queen Mother was being forcibly taken inside by two tall maids.
Kiya had arranged for eight people to serve the Queen Mother. Each of these individuals was skilled in martial arts, serving both to protect the Queen Mother and also to monitor her.
These eight people were entirely loyal to Kiya!
Gavin personally came to escort her, and the Queen Mother did not cooperate from start to finish, causing a scene, not even caring about the Royal Family’s reputation.
The Queen Mother’s residence was in the back courtyard of the mosque. A high wall separated it from the front, and a lock isolated the two worlds.
Gavin glanced back at the arched golden gate, where a sentence was inscribed beside it:
If you are weary of your sins, come in!
The gate of Allah’s forgiveness and mercy remains open.
