Golden Babies Early Education Center,

because Claire is a bit introverted, and in hopes of letting her meet other little babies, Sienna Johnson enrolled her in an early education class.

The early education class, frankly speaking, is just a place where you pay for your baby to have fun.

Hugo, lively and outgoing, got very excited seeing so many kids, while Claire hid in Adrian Desmond’s embrace, timidly looking at everything around her.

Sienna said, "Claire, shall we go play with the other kids?"

Claire turned her head, buried her face in Adrian’s chest, and her little hands tightly clutching his shirt revealed her nervousness.

Adrian didn’t want to force her, and said to Sienna, "You take Hugo to join the activities, I’ll stay with her."

Sienna felt a bit helpless, "We enrolled in this class for Claire, but if she doesn’t participate at all, what’s the point?"

Her little daughter was too introverted, Sienna even wondered if she had a tendency towards autism.

"She’s here and not crying or fussing, that’s already giving you face, what more do you want?"

Adrian then patted his daughter’s head gently and said softly, "Claire, if you don’t want to attend class, that’s fine, Daddy will play with you."

"Alright, I’ll take Hugo to class." Sienna felt she had no way with her little daughter, so she took her big, chubby son to the class.

The early education class was essentially a parent-child activity, and Sienna didn’t expect the kids to learn a lot, as long as her son was happy.

...

Adrian held his quiet little daughter; she was indeed a bit introverted, full of curiosity and wariness towards the world, and feared strangers, just like a timid little kitten, always needing to hide in his embrace to find a sense of security.

Adrian took a picture book for his daughter to look at, and Claire leaned against his chest, her big eyes wide open, quietly listening.

"...the big bad wolf gobbled up the three little pigs..."

"Waaa..." Claire heard this and suddenly burst into tears.

Adrian was making up the story; he thought the story ending should be the big bad wolf eating the three little pigs to be more realistic, but his daughter didn’t seem to like it.

"Daddy made a mistake... the three little pigs weren’t eaten, their daddy came back and chased the big bad wolf away." Adrian improvised.

Claire seemed to understand and indeed stopped crying.

A little boy of about four or five ran over, stood in front of Adrian, and stared at Claire in his arms. As a father-in-law in the making, Adrian felt a lot of animosity towards boys this age.

"Kid, what are you looking at? Never seen a beauty before." Adrian said irritably.

"Is she your daughter?"

"Yes."

"She’s really ugly!"

Adrian: ...

The boy kept staring at Claire, Claire, seeing a stranger, burrowed further into her father’s embrace, wishing she could crawl inside him.

"So ugly, she’ll definitely never get married in the future, oh well, I’ll make the sacrifice and marry her." The boy said arrogantly, worthily.

The boy was actually very handsome, with sharp features like a mixed-race, yet Adrian had no favorable impression of this kid.

"Get lost!" Adrian said irritably.

The boy looked at Adrian, appearing displeased, "Do you know who I am?"

"Who you are, is none of my business!"

Adrian lazily sat there, Claire nestled in his embrace, her soft little body carrying a milky scent.

Adrian wasn’t in the mood to deal with this bratty kid; except for the four children he and Sienna had, Adrian did not like children in general.

"Claire, which story are we telling now? Sleeping Beauty? Or Snow White?..."

Claire, distracted by the colorful fairy tale book, leaned against her father’s chest, babbling, wanting him to continue the story.

"Snow White? Okay... Once upon a time, there was a King and Queen, they had no children, so they prayed to God for one..."

Kevin Taylor, born as the center of everyone’s attention, found himself surprisingly ignored.

Kevin angrily said, "Hmph, just wait, I’m going to have my grandpa catch you!"

Claire, timid by nature, was startled by Kevin’s shouting, shivering a little.

Adrian immediately pinched the little brat’s ear, "Kid, if you don’t get lost, I’ll twist your ear off!"

Being only four or five, Kevin was frightened by the murderous aura emanating from Adrian, and burst into tears.

"You bullied me, I’m telling my grandpa... boohoo..."

Seeing him cry, Claire pursed her lips, and began to cry too, so Adrian picked up his daughter, coaxing her as he walked away.

"Young Master, where did you run off to, you scared me to death, if something happens to you, the master will kill me..."

"..."

"Hey, why are you crying? Did someone bully you?"

Kevin, in a foul mood, said, "Go away! Don’t provoke me."

...

After finishing the early education class, on their way home, they passed by a maternity and baby store, and Sienna couldn’t resist going in to buy baby supplies for the twins.

Actually, they already had a lot at home, but Sienna couldn’t help herself when she saw nice things.

"Adrian, look, these little shoes in goose yellow, they’re so pretty..."

Sienna held a pair of soft-soled goose yellow shoes in her hand, shaped like a little duck, very cute.

Sienna crouched down, looked at the two babies in the twin stroller, and said, "Claire, do you like it?"

Claire smiled and reached out, wanting to grab them; Sienna knew if she took hold of them, she’d definitely put them in her mouth, so she didn’t give them to her.

"If you like them, let’s buy them." Adrian was more generous with money.

"We already have so many at home." Sienna hesitated a bit.

Children grow up so fast, changing ridiculously fast day by day, many shoes were never even worn once before they outgrow them.

Adrian didn’t argue with this stubborn woman, and directly tossed the goose yellow baby shoes into the shopping cart, then looked at his son and picked out a pair of goose yellow ones for him too.

"Just one pair is enough."

"You won’t buy a pair for your son?"

"Goose yellow isn’t suitable for boys; instead, Sienna picked a pair of sky blue ones for her son.

The two of them bought a few more small items before getting in the car to leave.

Just as they walked out of the maternity store, two men surrounded them, and several bodyguards around Adrian stepped forward to block in front of them.

Sienna was startled and asked, "What’s going on here?"

Adrian also had no idea what was happening.

They had been very cautious whenever they went out, bringing ten bodyguards this time, with six more in the shadows, so Adrian was not worried.

"It’s okay." Adrian softly patted Sienna’s back, soothing his frightened wife.

Sienna pushed the baby stroller in front of her, shielding her two children, who were fast asleep and completely unaware of everything happening.

"It’s him! Beat him hard for me!" a little boy shouted.
