The Bigshot Married Himself to the Heiress

Chapter 1168 - 1108: Night Owl Shot

An hour later, Marion returned, his arm injured. It was a gunshot wound, hastily wrapped with gauze, which was still seeping blood.

"I’m sorry, Madam, I’ve let Night Owl escape again," Marion said with a face full of guilt.

Sienna Johnson had painstakingly found Night Owl’s location, but had allowed him to escape again. Now Adrian Desmond was still unconscious...Marion hung his head low, feeling as though he should atone with his life.

Sienna Johnson looked at his wounded arm. Knowing it was a gunshot wound, she dared not call a doctor over for treatment. Guns are banned in Orienta, and a gunshot wound would alert the police. If the police came, it would be hard to explain.

"Wait for me here."

Sienna Johnson went out to find a classmate who was a doctor and borrowed a set of surgical instruments. She then returned to Adrian Desmond’s ward to treat Marion’s wound.

Unwrapping layer after layer of gauze, Sienna Johnson saw Marion’s wound. "Why is the injury so serious?"

Marion said nonchalantly, "Madam, I’m fine."

"The bullet is still inside; it must be removed."

Anesthesia is strictly controlled in hospitals, and Sienna’s classmate couldn’t get any. "Without anesthesia, removing the bullet will hurt, you’ll have to bear it."

This kind of pain was nothing to Marion.

"It’s alright, Madam, I can endure this kind of injury."

Sienna Johnson donned rubber gloves to extract the bullet for Marion. The bullet was lodged quite deep, requiring her to cut some flesh to remove it.

"Bear with me, I’ll make it quick."

Sienna Johnson glanced at Marion, whose face was expressionless, as if she hadn’t just cut into his flesh.

The bullet was lodged in the flesh, close to the bone. Fortunately, it hadn’t shattered the arm bone. Sienna Johnson used tweezers to extract the bullet, then moved on to wound suturing, disinfecting, and bandaging. Her actions were swift and fluid; it was truly a shame that Sienna wasn’t a doctor.

"It’s done."

Sienna Johnson finished quickly—in just five or six minutes—so Marion didn’t suffer long.

"Thank you."

"No need to thank me." Sienna Johnson packed up the surgical instruments. They needed to be cleaned and disinfected before being used again.

"Madam, although we didn’t catch Night Owl, he was shot in the abdomen. Sabrina Conner hit him," Marion said.

Sienna Johnson paused her actions. "Shot in the abdomen?"

"Yes."

Doctor X was dead, and there seemed to be no doctor by Night Owl’s side. If Night Owl dared to go to a hospital, he would definitely alert the authorities.

Sienna Johnson picked up her phone and shared Night Owl’s details in her alumni group and on WhatsApp.

—Night Owl, international fugitive, head of terrorism, orchestrating the world’s most powerful and undeniably criminal network. Extremely dangerous. Currently shot in the abdomen, hiding in Sileria City.

Sienna Johnson added a photo of Night Owl.

Sienna was a medical student, with classmates and seniors spread throughout Sileria City’s hospitals.

As soon as Night Owl sought a doctor, Sienna would know immediately.

The group chat exploded instantly.

"...Why would the head of terrorism show up in Sileria City? What’s the scoop..."

"Damn, he’s so good-looking. Does the head of terrorism have a girlfriend?"

"So handsome? Why get into terrorism? He could totally make it in the entertainment industry. My cousin is a manager—follow her, and he’d be a star across Agaia."

Seeing the conversation getting off track, Sienna found it frustrating. Why were people today so unreliable? Why could they never focus on the main issue?

Sienna reminded everyone not to be deceived by this man’s appearance.

Sienna typed rapidly, "This man is extremely dangerous; don’t be fooled by his face."

"Senior Sienna, is the information accurate? Could there be a mistake—why would a head of terrorism appear in Sileria City?"

"Accurate!"

"..."

"If anyone spots this man, please notify me immediately." Sienna Johnson left her phone number, although it was her work number, not her personal one.

"Senior Sienna, why notify you and not the police?"

How was Sienna Johnson supposed to respond to such a question?

Looking at Adrian Desmond, who was still unconscious in bed, she typed a line, "Because he hurt my husband!"

The comments section exploded again.

"Goddess, you’re married? And I’m not the groom."

Sienna Johnson had achieved her purpose and stopped bantering with them, leaving the group.

"Adrian, you need to recover soon..." Sienna Johnson said softly, looking at Adrian Desmond.

Adrian Desmond’s blood sample had already been sent to the Research and Development Department of the Eastminster Pharmaceutical Factory. Now Sienna could only hope that Reggie Dewey and the others could analyze the blood sample and formulate the proper antidote.

...

In Sileria City’s slum area,

All the local residents had moved out, renting it to migrant workers. It’s a mix of different and complicated people.

Night Owl had a bullet in his abdomen, still embedded there. Seeing Night Owl’s weakened state made him wish he could kill Sabrina Conner.

"Master, let me kill that bastard, Sabrina Conner!"

Night Owl had been shot by Sabrina Conner. Never in his gloriously successful life had Night Owl been in such a sorry state.

"It’s not the right time yet." Night Owl was still waiting—waiting for his strength to recover. When it did, the first person he intended to kill was Adrian Desmond.

If not for Adrian Desmond, how would he have ended up like this?

He grabbed a woman and pushed her in. The woman looked like a college student, quite beautiful.

"Get in!"

The woman stumbled onto the floor, more frightened by the men in the room.

"Master, this woman is a doctor. Let her operate on you. If your gunshot wound isn’t treated soon, it will be dangerous," he said in Amwan Language.

Night Owl looked at the woman and asked in Chinese, "Doctor?"

"Yes."

"I’ve been shot; come help me treat my wound."

The woman was fairly calm. Though scared, she didn’t sob or scream madly. Night Owl was somewhat pleased with her.

"Without instruments, I can’t perform surgery."

He brought over a simple medical kit containing some instruments. He spoke in broken Chinese, "Limited conditions, it will have to do."

The woman walked over, inspected Night Owl’s wound. It was still bleeding. If it continued like this, the man would die of blood loss.

Checking the contents of the medical kit, it was genuinely rudimentary—even lacking anesthesia.

"There’s no anesthetic!"

Night Owl said, "I don’t need that."

The woman frowned at him. His deep-set eyes and chiseled features gave the impression of mixed ethnicity. She had no idea what background this man came from.

"All surgeries have risks. With such simple conditions, it’s entirely unsuitable for surgery. I can’t guarantee your surgery will be successful."

Night Owl looked at the beautiful woman before him, smiled, and simply said, "No problem. If I die, you’ll be buried with me."
