Chapter 734: Yisen, let’s try artificial insemination

When Munni awoke from her dream, she realized her emotions were influenced by the scenes in her dreams, leaving her face streaked with tears.

Her heart was filled with sorrow. Fearing she might wake Xu Yisen, she bit her upper lip tightly to suppress her cries, then carefully got out of bed and went to the bathroom.

She wiped away the tears on her face and suddenly remembered that her period seemed to be three days late this month.

With hope in her heart, she took a pregnancy test kit from the bathroom cabinet and tested herself.

After a few minutes of waiting, the pregnancy test still showed only one red line, and Munni’s heart, which was full of hope, gradually cooled down.

Clutching the pregnancy test stick in her hand, she could no longer resist the negative emotions and collapsed on the bathroom floor, sobbing uncontrollably.

She didn’t know how many pregnancy tests she’d used over the past three years; each result left her feeling disheartened and truly at a loss of what to do.

"Munni, what’s wrong?"

Xu Yisen’s worried voice suddenly came from outside the bathroom.

However, Munni seemed indifferent, her sobbing continued to be heart-wrenchingly intense.

Xu Yisen, a light sleeper, was vaguely aware when Munni woke up. After waiting for a while without her returning to bed, he faintly heard movement in the bathroom.

He quickly got up and walked to the bathroom. As soon as he entered, he heard Munni crying inside, which made him extremely anxious. The bathroom door was locked by Munni, so Xu Yisen had to swiftly turn around and go to the bedside table to retrieve the bathroom key.

As he opened the bathroom door, Xu Yisen’s heart twisted. Munni sat fallen on the floor, a pregnancy test beside her, and she was crying with her face buried in her hands.

Xu Yisen took a large step forward, crouched down, and gently held Munni in his arms.

Glancing at the single red line on the pregnancy test beside her, Xu Yisen guessed the reason for her breakdown.

He gently embraced Munni, lightly patting her back with one hand, trying to soothe her current restless emotions.

Xu Yisen had never seen Munni cry so painfully, so he was deeply distressed and worried about her. He didn’t offer words of comfort, just patiently waited for Munni to vent enough emotions.

When her cries finally ceased, he affectionately wiped the tears from her face, "What’s the matter?"

Munni’s eyes were a bit red and swollen from crying, her once tearful eyes now bright and clear as if washed by clean water, reflecting Xu Yisen’s concerned face.

She parted her red lips, her voice hoarse, "Yisen, let’s try artificial insemination."

The sudden suggestion caused Xu Yisen’s hand, still wiping her tears, to pause slightly. A moment of incredulity flashed across his face, but then he continued, tenderly wiping Munni’s tears.

"We’re not in a rush about having a child, so don’t put so much pressure on yourself."

Xu Yisen’s words did not comfort Munni. Instead, her tears resumed, falling like pearls off a broken string.

Despite this, she stubbornly stared at Xu Yisen, waiting for his response.

Her persistent gaze made Xu Yisen feel a bit heartache. He gently kissed Munni’s forehead and softly reassured her, "Munni, I can’t bear to see you suffer. If we can’t conceive, then we can’t. It’s okay."

Xu Yisen cared more about Munni’s happiness than having children.

Munni understood Xu Yisen’s tenderness and affection towards her, but she still shook her head resolutely and repeated, "Let’s try artificial insemination."
