The Art of Pursuing: The Unyielding Ex-wife
Chapter 728: Let me treat you to dinner as compensation
Hearing this, Munni suddenly turned her head and saw Yisen standing outside the glass window. She was caught off guard by Yisen’s gaze peering at her.
When he stared at her, his eyes were gentle like flowing water. Even though there was some distance, she could feel the fondness flowing in his eyes.
Out of instinct, Munni curved her lips into a smile at Yisen, a charming smile appearing on her rosy cheeks.
After telling the children, "You practice for a while, I’ll be right back," she walked out of the music room.
As she left, she closed the door conveniently to prevent the kids from overhearing her conversation with Yisen.
"Yisen, why are you here?"
"Just came to see what the little woman who left me after sleeping last night is up to."
Yisen’s teasing words made Munni’s cheeks blush slightly. She glared at Yisen coquettishly, "No seriousness at all. Have you had lunch?"
"I just got up and had the porridge you cooked in the morning. How about you, have you eaten lunch?"
Munni nodded and then raised her wrist to check the time on her watch, "Are you free today?"
"Why, do you want to invite me out?"
Munni shook her head, "No, I want you to help teach the kids to play the violin."
Her denial was so direct that Yisen felt a bit embarrassed, and he pursed his lips, "Okay then."
"After teaching the kids to play the violin, I could treat you to dinner as compensation."
With that, Yisen suddenly grinned and said in a light-hearted tone, "Still want to invite me out."
His smug appearance made Munni laugh silently, and she took Yisen back into the music room.
There were seven or eight children inside, these children had been learning the violin from Munni for over half a year, and now they could play tunes.
Today, Munni was teaching them to play ’Canon’, the kids had a strong ability to learn. Under the guidance of Munni and Yisen, everyone played very well.
About an hour later, another volunteer came into the music room to remind Munni it’s time to take the children outside to play for a while.
Munni and Yisen led the children to the lawn of the orphanage, where other volunteers accompanied the children to play, and their task was over.
However, the two did not leave but sat cross-legged on the lawn, watching the children play and laugh not far away.
Watching the children, Munni’s smile gradually transformed from gentle to bitter, "Yisen, I..."
The words at the tip of her tongue suddenly stopped. She slowly turned her head to look at Yisen next to her.
Yisen also turned to look at her, gently reaching out to tuck a lock of Munni’s long hair behind her ear.
"There, don’t say it."
Yisen knew Munni wanted to apologize to him.
After they had been married for a year, Munni’s belly showed no sign of pregnancy. Although his family didn’t urge them, friends and relatives around would constantly ask why Munni hadn’t conceived yet.
This undeniably created an invisible pressure for Munni. In the following two years, she seemed to silently bear this pressure; though she didn’t show it outwardly, Yisen knew she felt very guilty for not being able to conceive yet.
In the past six months, every time he accompanied her to the orphanage, while watching the children play, she would always feel compelled to apologize to Yisen for not being able to provide the Xu Family with offspring.
Yisen held Munni by the shoulder, and she leaned her head against Yisen’s shoulder riding the momentum.
