Chapter 408: Chapter 135: We’re Doomed! The Two Moms Have Finally Met
That Demonic Qi was incredibly violent, but the Profound Yin Qi swiftly tore it to shreds, breaking it down into a chaotic mix of energies with varying attributes.
Part of the purer Negative Energy was converted into refined Profound Yin Qi, which then nourished its source. The rest—a chaotic mix of Evil Qi and Negative Energy—was carefully funneled by Lynch into a special bottle.
’This is top-tier nourishment for cultivating Black Corpses and Purple Zombies. It can’t be wasted.’
A moment later, the originally pitch-black Crystal Stone became transparent and clear, with only pure Soul Power left inside.
"Ghost Yi," Lynch called out softly.
The Tier Four ghost, Ghost Yi, drifted over, its Soul Body pulsating with intense desire.
"It’s yours," Lynch said, tossing the Crystal Stone to it.
Ghost Yi’s Soul Body enveloped the three Crystal Stones, directly swallowing them into its core.
Instantly, the Soul Crystals transformed into pure Soul Energy and were devoured by Ghost Yi. Its Soul Body grew noticeably more corporeal and its aura strengthened, but it was still a considerable distance from the threshold of Tier Five.
"Three Soul Crystals, and it’s still not enough to fill this pit..." Lynch sensed its state and couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow. "What an appetite. Looks like I’ll have to start farming these in bulk."
Lynch closed his eyes, his Spiritual Power extending outward to establish a deep link with Ghost Yi.
The next moment, he seemed to possess Ghost Yi’s "vision."
"Go, lure a few back."
Under Lynch’s fine control, Ghost Yi floated out of the ruin’s entrance and began to wander through the rubble.
Outside the ruin, the rubble of the Ancient Battlefield was shrouded in a thick, black Demonic Qi. The dim light made everything appear indistinct and shadowy, allowing only faint outlines to be discerned.
The dilapidated buildings and twisted, dead trees looked sinister and bizarre in the shifting light and shadows.
Moreover, the dense Abyssal Demonic Qi interfered with Spiritual Power perception. Ghost Yi’s sensory range was drastically reduced, and after wandering outside for a good while, it astonishingly failed to find a single Frenzied Ghost.
An idea struck Lynch. He had Ghost Yi deliberately release the soul fluctuations of its own kind.
Soon, three Frenzied Ghosts, corroded by Demonic Qi, were attracted by the soul fluctuations and came shrieking toward Ghost Yi.
Lynch immediately had Ghost Yi turn and race toward the ruin’s entrance.
The three Frenzied Ghosts immediately gave chase.
"Here they come~"
Lynch opened his eyes and raised the Raven Staff in his hand. Avril and Sea Song quickly backed away, clearing the battlefield.
"True Soul Lash!"
"True Soul Harvest!"
Soon, the three Frenzied Ghosts were turned into three black Soul Crystals.
For the next half-day, Lynch continued "fishing" at the entrance.
Ghost Yi lured them in, and he did the killing. Their efficiency was remarkably high.
After the first batch of three, another five Frenzied Ghosts were slain one after another and turned into Soul Crystals.
Lynch purified them one by one and fed them all to Ghost Yi.
As Ghost Yi devoured more and more Soul Crystals, its Soul Body became increasingly corporeal and its aura grew stronger. Finally, when Ghost Yi swallowed the eighth Soul Crystal, its Soul Body underwent a qualitative transformation.
HUMMMMM—
Ghost Yi’s Soul Body began to tremble violently as a powerful suction force erupted from its core.
Instantly, the free-floating Yin Attribute energy within the ruin gathered frantically, forming a visible vortex around it.
"It’s about to break through!" Lynch’s spirits lifted, and he gestured for the others to back away.
As everyone watched, Ghost Yi’s Soul Body began to expand violently before contracting inward and condensing.
In just a few short moments, its once-vague, ghostly form gradually elongated and solidified, finally transforming into a translucent, humanoid silhouette.
It was a beautiful female Elf, dressed in the white robes of an Ancient Elf.
She had long, flowing hair and delicate features. Her form still possessed the characteristic illusory quality of a ghost, but it was now quite substantial, with the faint texture of a physical being.
And the aura around her had, astoundingly, reached Tier Five.
She floated before Lynch, knelt on one knee, and crossed her hands over her chest, performing a standard Ancient Elf salute.
At the same time, a clear and melodious voice rang directly in Lynch’s mind.
"Master, Ghost Yi has advanced to Tier Five and condensed a Soul Body. Please bestow a new name upon me."
’This is my first Tier Five ghost.’
Lynch looked at the transformed Ghost Yi, feeling quite excited himself.
’Ghosts as Undead Units can be incredibly useful when utilized properly.’
’But with her intelligence greatly increased, she’s clearly no longer satisfied with the name Ghost Yi. Otherwise, she wouldn’t have asked for a new name the moment she learned to speak.’
Lynch asked casually, "Do you remember your name from when you were alive?"
She slowly shook her head. "I no longer remember. Please bestow a name upon me, Master."
Lynch pondered for a moment, then nodded. "Since you’re now Tier Five and have taken the form of a white-robed Elf, I will call you... Baring."
Baring bowed her head in acceptance, her Soul Body emitting a faint, silvery glow.
"Baring thanks Master for bestowing this name."
Seeing Baring so quick-witted and intelligent, Lynch was quite pleased and decided to strike while the iron was hot.
"Baring, go get some more," Lynch ordered through their spiritual link. "Lure in as many Frenzied Ghosts as you can. We’re going to farm to our heart’s content today!"
"Yes, Master."
Baring’s figure flashed, transforming into a streak of white light that floated out of the ruin’s entrance and vanished into the dark rubble.
’So, anyone who can become a ghost must have been an incredibly powerful existence in life. Otherwise, their soul strength would be insufficient, and their Soul Power would quickly dissipate after death, making it impossible to form a ghost at all.’
