Chapter 369: Chapter 130: Just How Many Good Mothers Do You Have!?
In the next moment, the chilling aura that had enveloped the entire Lake Heart Island receded like the tide.
The night sky was still clear, the moonlight still radiant.
Everything was exactly as it had been before, as if all that had just happened was merely an illusion.
Lynch let out a long, heavy sigh, the tension finally leaving his rigid back.
’Finally handled that.’
’Thanks to my quick thinking, I not only stopped my two mothers from meeting and fighting, but I even managed to turn a disaster into a blessing. The damage to my soul has been completely healed.’
’Tonight was... quite a thrill.’
Just then, Lynch jolted as a thought struck him.
’Wait... since Elegy’s birth mother knows Lester, and she’s a Demigod from the Netherworld, does that mean she might know the outcome of his journey to the Nether River? Does she know if he’s dead or alive right now?’
’Why didn’t I think to ask her just now?’
At this thought, Lynch sighed internally.
’Forget it. I’ll ask next time I get the chance.’
’It’s not even certain Elegy’s mother would answer my question, and even if she did, what could I do about it?’
’I’m too weak right now. Even if I knew what was happening, I’d be powerless to do anything.’
After a moment of quiet reflection, Lynch composed himself and scanned the varied expressions of the crowd. He waved his hand. "Alright, everyone can disperse."
He paused, then added a warning, "Don’t let a word of what happened tonight get out. Understand?"
"Yes," the crowd responded in unison.
Aus’s affirmation was the loudest of all, but he had his own calculations.
’I only promised not to *speak* of it,’ he thought. ’That doesn’t mean I can’t *write* it into the historical records!’
’When my brother becomes the Dominator of Death and his name is immortalized in history, this little anecdote will naturally come to light. Future generations who read this passage will surely delight in the Lord’s romantic escapades from his early days. They will marvel at the humiliation he endured to build his power from the ground up...’
’This is all priceless historical material!’

「The next morning.」
As the first rays of dawn touched Lakefront Town, the entire settlement was already buzzing with activity.
The reason for the commotion was a notice posted at the entrance of the garrison headquarters.
The notice’s contents were simple.
[The Ninth Battle Battalion is to enter a state of combat mobilization effective immediately. All active-duty soldiers, reservists, and militia are to have their leave canceled and remain on standby.]
The moment the notice was posted, all of Lakefront Town erupted.
But despite the eruption of activity, there was no panic.
The soldiers and civilians of Lakefront Town had long grown accustomed to this rhythm.
Lord Lynch never fought an unprepared war. Since mobilization had begun, it meant another victory was on the horizon.
And a victory meant spoils of war, an opportunity to accumulate military honors, and most importantly, a better life ahead.
And so, the entire town shifted into a state of combat readiness with speed and order.
In the Artisan District, the clang of hammers on anvils rang out day and night. Swords and firearms were forged in a flurry of activity, then sent to the armory to be registered and stored.
At the warehouse entrance, Secretaries responsible for logistics moved in and out, ledgers in hand, repeatedly counting and tallying the stores of rations, munitions, and medicine.
On the training grounds, battle cries thundered as both regular soldiers and militia seized every last moment for high-intensity training.
Meanwhile, in the war room of the garrison headquarters, a military council regarding the reinforcement of Grey Stone Pass was in full swing.
"Catherine."
Lynch, seated at the head of the table, looked to the short-haired female Knight on his right.
Catherine looked up, her gaze clear and focused.
"You will be the commander-in-chief for this operation to reinforce Grey Stone Pass."
Catherine started slightly, then responded in a steady voice, "Yes."
Lynch continued, "Take all three elite companies of the Ninth Battle Battalion. In addition, select the four hundred best musketeers from the militia to march with the army."
He paused, his gaze sweeping over the others present. "Cam Leisuo, Hans, Jack, Baal—you will accompany Catherine as combat instructors and core officers."
Cam Leisuo shot to his feet, head held high. "Yes! My lord, rest assured, we will not fail you!"
Jack was so excited his face flushed bright red.
Ever since being whipped and then rewarded, his loyalty to Lynch had skyrocketed to the point of fanaticism.
"Furthermore..." Lynch’s fingers tapped lightly on the tabletop. His tone was calm, yet carried an undeniable authority. "The elites of my Undead Army will also march with you."
He began to list them off. "Corpse Demon will lead thirty elite Black Corpses. They will form the core of the main force, tasked with frontal assaults."
"Bonecaster, Bloodclaw, and Bonecurse will lead thirty Skeleton Mages to provide ranged fire suppression."
"Bone Jade will command three hundred elite Skeletons..."
"I will also dispatch a phantom to travel with the army."
With every name he listed, the eyes of everyone present grew brighter.
The Corpse Demon was the pride of the Lakefront Town Undead Army—a Tier Four Peak Purple Zombie, an invincible killing machine on the battlefield.
Bonecaster, Bloodclaw, and Bonecurse were all incredibly powerful Skeleton Mages.
Then there was the phantom and the troops from the Bone Jade Department.
Hearing Lynch’s deployment orders, Cam Leisuo felt a rush of adrenaline.
In all his years serving the House of Hohenzollern, when had he ever seen such a formidable force assembled?
A single battalion-level unit being deployed with so many High Tier assets?
This wasn’t a battalion; it was practically a small-scale Battle Group!
"As for the specific marching route, logistical support, and coordination with the Iron Wall Battle Group..."
Lynch turned to Aus, seated to his left.
