Chapter 313: Chapter 122: Compatriot Treasure! Found It

...

「Meanwhile.」

In the Giant Camp.

With a backhanded strike, Catherine cleaved an elite goblin that tried to ambush her, slicing it diagonally from shoulder to waist.

Stinking blood showered down, spattering her surcoat—already soaked through with gore—but she paid it no mind, only gasping for breath.

It was then that she noticed something strange on the battlefield.

The goblin tide that had been endlessly surging forward like rabid dogs suddenly faltered.

For some reason, the momentum of the green-skins’ charge became chaotic and disorganized. Many goblins even stopped in their tracks, looking back in confusion and alarm.

Even more concerning, the ear-splitting, banshee-like shriek had suddenly vanished.

Even the Goblin Airship overhead was inexplicably running into trouble.

The next volley failed to fire on schedule. The cannons’ muzzles grew sluggish, and the hull shuddered and listed, as if there had been an accident in the cockpit.

’What’s going on?’ Catherine’s heart skipped a beat as a realization dawned on her.

She fought to parry several crude, jabbing weapons, then kicked off the ground and leaped onto the crumbling remnant of a low wall.

Her gaze swept past the chaotic goblin army, settling on the distant edge of the battlefield.

In the next instant, her breath caught. Then, pure ecstasy erupted in her heart like a volcano.

There, on the rolling hills...

A massive army had appeared out of nowhere. Seen from afar, it was a coalition of humans and an Undead Corps!

The great banners fluttering in the wind were all a familiar lake blue—she knew them instantly. They were the banners of Lakefront Town.

She especially noticed the enormous, three-headed zombie hound in the center of the army, surrounded by countless Undead Units. Even from so far away, it immediately caught her eye.

A figure was perched atop the three-headed zombie hound’s back.

The figure was backlit, visible only as a vague silhouette, but in her eyes, it was as majestic as a deity.

"Lynch!"

For a moment, Catherine’s eyes burned, and she felt an overwhelming urge to cry.

But she snapped out of it in an instant. She thrust her Longsword high into the air as her body erupted in brilliant Holy Light, and then she shouted with all her might.

"Reinforcements! Our reinforcements are here! Lord Lynch has come!!!"

In that instant, the spirits of everyone from Lakefront Town and the Giant Demon Tribe soared.

Hope rekindled in the once-despairing eyes of the human Soldiers.

It was as if their exhausted bodies were instantly flooded with new strength. Without realizing it, they held their shields steadier and thrust their spears with greater force. Even the crackle of the militia musketeers’ gunfire grew denser.

"It’s Lord Lynch! The great Lord Lynch has come to save us!"

"The reinforcements are here! Kill them! Kill these sons of bitches!"

Almost instantly, their flagging morale soared. Furious roars replaced wails of despair.

The Rock Breaker Chieftain also noticed the change.

He smashed the head of a goblin before him with his axe, then looked toward the hills, panting heavily.

At the sight of the terrifying sea of Undead and their distinct banners, he bared his huge tusks in a grin and let out a thunderous roar, "ROAR!! Warriors of Stone Hammer, our allies have arrived! Slaughter these green-skinned mongrels!"

The Giant Warriors’ eyes lit up at his words, their flagging morale instantly surging.

"ROAR!"

"ROAR!"

They let out roar after roar. Bolstered by the surge in morale, they swung their weapons with even greater power and ferocity.

The Zombie Corps seemed to sense their master’s approaching presence. Their guttural groans grew shrill, and their attacks became even more frenzied.

「At the same time.」

Atop the hill, Lynch, riding Red Rabbit, was looking down on the battlefield below.

His expression was perfectly calm.

He had no intention of giving the enemy time to react. Just as the Blue Scarves looked up, he had already raised his Raven Low Speech Staff. He then pressed it down gently, gesturing toward the battlefield below.

There was no stirring battle cry, no lengthy command.

But the moment his Magic Staff swept down...

"THUD! THUD! THUD! THUD!"

Heavy, rhythmic footsteps rolled down from the hills like muffled thunder.

The Sea of Skulls was the first to move, a ghastly white tide surging down the slope.

The human phalanx followed, their steps ringing out. With spears held level, they advanced like a moving wall of steel thorns.

The militia musketeers followed close behind, the dark muzzles of their weapons already trained on the goblin horde below.

But the true hammer blow was the Zombie Corps charging down the center of the hill.

Leading the charge was the Corpse Demon, its body already taking on a faint coppery sheen.

Its stout legs unleashed terrifying power. Each footfall made the ground tremble. Shrouded in a dense necrotic aura, the zombie was like a heavy armored vehicle rolling downhill, exuding an unparalleled, oppressive presence.

Behind it was the sixty-to-seventy-strong Zombie Corps that Lynch valued so highly.

Among them were several Tier Three and Tier Four Purple Zombies. The rest were mostly Black Corpses, but even the weakest was at Tier One Peak.

With such a large horde of corpses charging in unison, the entire hill seemed to tremble from their thunderous footsteps. A dense necrotic aura billowed like a tidal wave, creating a truly terrifying spectacle.
