Chapter 276: Chapter 116: My Precious Granddaughter Is Yours, Use Her As You Wish

He’d investigated after that incident and learned the name belonged to an Abyss Demon Lord, the legendary ancestor of the Gnolls.

’But Lynch never imagined that guy was actually targeting him. And he’d gone to such lengths to set up this death trap?!’

’What a fucking shameless bastard! A high and mighty Abyss Lord can’t even handle Elegy’s own mother, so he has the gall to come after a mere human like me? His mind is smaller than the eye of a needle!’

Cursing aside, the current state of the battle left no room for stray thoughts.

The Gnolls’ death-defying charge had already crashed into his lines.

Lynch quickly suppressed his stray thoughts, calmed himself, and began to issue commands in an orderly fashion.

"Front-rank Black Corpse units, hold the line! Skeleton fodder, fill in the gaps."

"Musketeers, fire at will! Aim for the big ones."

"Order the left and right flanks to converge toward the center as planned. Tighten the encirclement and swallow this entire Gnoll horde!"

As the commands were issued, all units immediately moved under his direction.

Soon, the area before the central army became a bloody meat grinder.

The Black Corpses were immensely strong, their hides thick and tough. They stood like bedrock, weathering the fiercest of the initial charges.

Wave after wave of Skeleton Soldiers threw themselves forward, shattering their own bones just to deplete the Gnolls’ stamina.

The distance was so short that the musketeers hardly needed to aim. Reload, fire—the sequence was seamless.

Amidst the ceaseless roar of muskets, lead shot scattered like fireworks, piercing through fur and kicking up clouds of blood mist.

The Gnolls, for their part, were in a killing frenzy, lunging and tearing relentlessly.

They were individually powerful; it often took several Undead Units to hold back a single Gnoll. Across the battlefield, Black Corpses were constantly being tackled and torn to shreds, while Skeletons were swatted apart by sharp claws.

But Lynch’s Undead Army held an absolute advantage in numbers. Moreover, they knew no fear and never tired.

More importantly, the forces on both flanks were rapidly closing in. A massive encirclement was about to form.

The momentum of their charge had been brutally halted. His tribal warriors were falling in droves under the sea of Undead and volleys of musket fire. Even he himself had sustained several wounds that cut down to the bone.

Grom the Spine Breaker couldn’t help but let out a roar of fury and pain.

"Lord Prophet, we can’t hold on! If you have a trump card, use it now!" he roared over his shoulder.

Hearing this, the Blood Claw Priest, who had remained hidden within the formation, sighed helplessly.

’He knew this probably wasn’t the optimal moment Lord Yenogu had envisioned.’

’That cunning human was in the center of the army, heavily protected and still far away. But at this stage of the battle, there was no other choice.’

He abruptly raised his Magic Staff and began to chant an ancient, blasphemous Abyssal Spell.

Soon, a mass of swirling, deep-red and pitch-black light gathered at the tip of his bone staff, emitting a profane and evil aura.

When the chant ended, he waved his Magic Staff. The light immediately transformed into a thin beam and shot out, instantly burying itself in the back of Grom the Spine Breaker, who was fighting furiously on the front line.

"ARGH~!!!"

Grom’s massive body suddenly went rigid, and he let out a terrible, agonizing howl.

Even the Gnolls fighting around him were startled, and they instinctively turned to look.

They saw Grom’s skin and muscles writhing and swelling madly. Thick, barbed bone spurs pierced through his skin, bursting out from his flesh, dripping with blood.

A dark-red ball of light pulsed on his chest.

With the light as its epicenter, tendrils of dark-red, sinister energy spread rapidly across the surface of his body like blood vessels.

In just a few short moments, the dark-red, sinister energy had covered Grom’s entire body.

His form began to swell uncontrollably. His skull warped, his fangs lengthened viciously, and a pair of enormous, black-and-red bat-like wings sprouted from his back, exuding a dense Abyssal Aura.

Even the light of reason in his eyes swiftly faded, replaced by savagery and chaos.

He was being forcibly transformed into an Abyssal Demon.

’So, I was the "trump card" to be sacrificed...’

The thought flashed through Grom’s mind just before his consciousness was completely consumed, filling him with a sense of absurdity and sorrow.

He had heard of this Magic before.

It was an exceedingly tyrannical and cruel Abyss Secret Skill. It could grant its host terrifying power in a short amount of time, but the price... The host’s body would be permanently mutated, and their soul would be corroded by Abyssal Power until it was utterly annihilated.

But even this feeling of sorrow lasted only for an instant. The next moment, his consciousness was completely devoured by a boundless desire for destruction.

"ROAR~!!!"

Mutated Grom threw its head back, and a violent, chaotic roar echoed between heaven and earth.

Instantly, a terrifying pressure—the kind unique to a High Tier Abyssal Creature—erupted from him, sweeping outward like a tangible storm.

All those nearby, whether Gnoll or Undead, were sent staggering by the force of this aura.

The energy fluctuations he now emitted had shockingly reached... Tier Six!

It was even continuing to climb toward Tier Seven!

’Holy shit!?’

In the distance, the color drained from Lynch’s face.

Even though he was heavily protected in the rear of his army, he could feel the heart-stopping aura of the Abyssal Demon radiating from Mutated Grom.

’So it really is coming for me.’

’That damned Yenogu... to deal with me, he’d actually go so far as to create a temporary Abyssal Demon.’

Just then, the Abyssal Demon’s frenzied, savage Spiritual Power locked onto Lynch. It let out a garbled shout.

"For Yenogu!"

"BOOM!"

Its wings shot up, and its body launched from the ground. Then, accelerating with a dive, it hurtled toward Lynch.

An intense sense of crisis made Lynch’s scalp tingle, and goosebumps erupted all over his skin.

’Dammit~!!’

’Picking on someone weaker, Yenogu, you son of a bitch. I’ll remember this!’
