Chapter 262: Chapter 115: Since You’re Here! Time for the Black Prison

...

Fritz’s expression darkened. "What do you mean by that? Are you choosing the hard way over the easy one!?"

At this point, he had lost the last of his patience. He stopped wasting words with Lynch and, with a sharp wave of his hand, commanded, "Seize him! If he resists, kill him without hesitation!"

"Yes, sir!"

Receiving the order, the few guards from the House of Hohenzollern, who had been eager for a fight, immediately lunged forward with menacing auras.

The two Holy Knight Inquisitors also began to channel Holy Light.

Even the few members of the North Wind Legion’s law enforcement squad, seeing the situation, circulated their Battle Aura, preparing to join an easy fight.

The townspeople watching from outside the courtyard gasped in alarm, deeply worried for Lynch inside.

For them, who had once been displaced refugees, being able to settle down safely in Lakefront Town with steady jobs and enough to eat was already a life akin to heaven.

But now, Lord Lynch was...

Just then, something unexpected happened.

Before Lynch, space twisted violently without warning, and a jet-black vortex opened out of thin air.

THUD!

Following a heavy, muffled sound, a colossal beast leaped from the vortex, landing heavily in front of Lynch.

The ground trembled violently.

It was an enormous zombie hound.

Its entire body was a deep purple, its muscles powerful and taut. Upon closer inspection, its skin even had a faint bronze sheen, showing signs that it was already beginning to evolve toward a Tier Five Copper Zombie.

At that moment, it raised its three menacing heads high, its six eyes burning with ghastly green Nether Fire as it coldly stared down at the charging enemies.

This was Lynch’s new mount: Red Rabbit, a zombie transformed from the corpse of a three-headed Hellhound.

Although the current Red Rabbit was still a step below its former strength as a Tier Five creature, Lynch had spared no expense in cultivating it. It had now reached the level of a high Tier Four, making it the undisputed strongest among all of Lynch’s Undead Units.

Its innate Hellfire attribute had also fused with the Power of Death during its transformation, becoming the more sinister and chilling Nether Flame.

ROAR!!!

All three heads let out a deafening, corpse-like roar at the same time. They then opened their mouths and spewed out three torrents of Nether Flame, which instantly swept across more than half the courtyard.

"Not good! Battle Aura Shield!"

The first to bear the brunt of the attack was the strongest of the guards, their Tier Four leader.

He reacted with incredible speed. His Battle Aura erupted, and in the blink of an eye, he condensed a thick Battle Aura Shield in front of him.

The shield shimmered with light, steadfastly protecting his vital points.

The Nether Flame crashed against the Battle Aura Shield, making a SIZZLING sound of burning and corrosion. The shield fluctuated violently, its light quickly dimming.

But he had somehow managed to withstand the first wave of the assault.

However, the other Tier Three guards charging at the front were not so lucky.

They were weaker than their leader, and the Battle Aura Shields they hastily erected were not strong enough. Under the deluge of Nether Flame, their shields lasted only a few seconds before shattering completely.

"AHH!!!"

The ghastly green flames instantly engulfed them.

But the most terrifying aspect of the Nether Flame was that it didn’t burn the flesh directly. Instead, like a cancer clinging to the bone, it penetrated the skin and struck deep into the soul!

The moment the Nether Flame touched them, the guards couldn’t help but let out bloodcurdling shrieks.

They frantically slapped at themselves but were utterly unable to extinguish the searing pain that originated from their souls. Soon, they were writhing in agony on the ground.

The two Holy Knight Inquisitors and the members of the North Wind Legion’s law enforcement squad had been a half-step slower and weren’t hit directly by the Nether Flame, but they were caught in its aftershock.

They hurriedly activated their Holy Light and Battle Aura shields, managing to block the impact just in time. Still, they retreated again and again in terror, stunned by the power displayed by the horrifying three-headed Hellhound zombie.

The mustached Fritz actually possessed some strength himself, having even reached the level of a Tier Four Knight in his prime. However, a long life of indolence and debauchery in the Imperial Capital had caused most of it to waste away.

In his current panic, he had even forgotten to activate his Battle Aura Shield. He just scrambled backward, trying to escape the courtyard that had suddenly turned into a living hell.

But unexpectedly, after retreating only a few steps, his back suddenly slammed into a cold, hard, iron-like wall.

A faint stench of decay mixed with a thick, malevolent corpse aura washed over him.

Fritz spun around in horror, only to see a terrifying, tower-like zombie over three and a half meters tall. It had silently appeared and was now blocking the courtyard entrance.

Its body was a mass of gnarled muscle, and its skin was a deep purple. It was none other than the zombie general Lynch valued so highly—the Corpse Demon.

"AH!!"

Fritz was scared out of his wits and had just started to turn and run.

But the Corpse Demon’s massive, fan-like hand shot out and clamped around his neck like an iron pincer, lifting him up like a helpless chick!

"Damn it~~!!"

"How is this possible!?"

The others were stunned. They were about to risk their lives to break out and rescue him when they discovered that the entrance had been blocked by a dense formation of the Zombie Corps.

Leading them were two Purple Zombies whose auras were second only to the Corpse Demon’s. Behind them followed several dozen Black Corpses, many of which already showed a hint of purple in their black skin.

They stood in silence, forming an impenetrable wall that sealed off all escape routes. A thick, malevolent corpse aura emanated from them, making their presence all the more terrifying.
