Chapter 105: Farming Through The System

After hearing Liu Yun’s question, the System’s mechanical voice rang in her mind.

[Player, you are experiencing pain because of the dense spiritual energy surrounding the Spiritual Garden. As a mortal, your body cannot withstand such a high concentration of spiritual energy, causing your meridians to become bloated with energy.]

[If you stay here for too long, your body will explode, and you will die.]

Listening to the System’s explanation, Liu Yun’s face paled, and she quickly retreated from the Spiritual Garden’s entrance. As she moved farther away from the entrance, the pain she was experiencing slowly subsided.

Liu Yun wiped the cold sweat from her forehead, then looked at the Spiritual Garden and asked with a hint of frustration in her voice, "System, if I can’t even get close to the Spiritual Garden, how am I supposed to plant the Spiritual Peach Tree Seeds?"

When she asked this, the System fell silent for two seconds before asking, [Player, do you still remember that you can use the System interface?]

Hearing this, Liu Yun fell silent.

"....."

A few seconds passed before she scratched her cheek and doubtfully asked, "System, do you mean I can use the System interface to plant the seeds?"

Inside her sea of consciousness, the System rubbed its round head and thought, ’What should I do if my host is a silly one?’

Although the System was speechless at Liu Yun’s question, it still answered her.

[Yes.]

As soon as Liu Yun heard the System’s answer, she fell silent.

"..." Grass! So did I do all those farming activities manually just because I was bored?!

As if it could already predict what Liu Yun wanted to say, the System said emotionlessly, [Player, you didn’t ask, so this System assumed you knew.]

Blocked by the System’s answer before she could ask why it hadn’t told her, Liu Yun felt suffocated for no reason.

Taking a deep breath, she waved her hand helplessly and said, "Fine. Thank you for telling me now."

[You are welcome to ask in the future, Player.]

"...." For some reason, Liu Yun felt that the System was rubbing salt into her wounds.

Ignoring the System, Liu Yun opened the Multiverse Farmland’s main interface. Clicking on the Spiritual Garden’s icon, she carefully studied the menu displayed there.

Besides the Spiritual Garden’s status panel, there was actually a list of actions she could perform on the left side. Reading through the list, Liu Yun pouted.

Cultivating land, planting, watering, pest removal, and harvesting.

They were all listed there.

Letting out a dejected sigh, Liu Yun couldn’t help but lightly slap her forehead as she muttered, "Looks like I need to study every function and interface of this System more carefully in the future."

Now that she knew she could perform farming activities through the System interface, Liu Yun walked toward the small pond located in the center of the Multiverse Farmland, then sat down on the grass.

With the transparent blue screen floating in front of her, she stored the pack of Spiritual Peach Tree Seeds back into the warehouse, then pressed the Soil Preparation icon.

Ding!

[Do you wish to cultivate 1 plot of land in the Spiritual Garden, consuming 5 Farmer Energy?]

[Confirm] [Cancel]

Looking at the notification that appeared before her, Liu Yun felt conflicted. However, she still raised her hand and pressed the [Confirm] button.

A second later, a series of notifications appeared.

Ding!

[Successfully cultivated 1 plot of land in the Spiritual Garden. The Player has consumed 5 Farmer Energy.]

Ding!

[Soil Preparation proficiency +1]

Ding!

[Farming Experience +2]

Seeing that she really could prepare the soil of the Spiritual Garden using the System interface, Liu Yun’s mood improved. Pressing the Soil Preparation icon again, Liu Yun changed the number from 1 to 9 this time.

Ding!

[Do you wish to cultivate 9 plots of land in the Spiritual Garden, consuming 45 Farmer Energy?]

[Confirm] [Cancel]

Without hesitation, Liu Yun pressed the [Confirm] button.

Ding!

[Successfully cultivated 9 plots of land in the Spiritual Garden. The Player has consumed 45 Farmer Energy.]

Ding!

[Soil Preparation proficiency +9]

Ding!

[Farming Experience +18]

When she was done, Liu Yun checked her Farmer Energy and saw that she only had 22 Farmer Energy left.

Rubbing her chin, she muttered, "I remember that planting seeds doesn’t consume Farmer Energy. I should plant them first, then use up all my Farmer Energy before leaving."

Having made her decision, Liu Yun pressed the Seed Planting icon.

A second later, a smaller transparent blue screen appeared above the Spiritual Garden’s main interface.

Ding!

[Please select the seeds to be planted in the Spiritual Garden.]

Seeing that the screen displayed a list of items inside her Multiverse Farmland’s warehouse, Liu Yun noticed that, except for the pack of Spiritual Peach Tree Seeds, all the other items were grayed out.

Nodding in understanding, she selected the pack of Spiritual Peach Tree Seeds, entered the number of seeds, and pressed the [Confirm] button.

As soon as she made her choice, the pack of Spiritual Peach Tree Seeds disappeared from the warehouse, and a notification appeared.

Ding!

[Successfully planted 10 Spiritual Peach Tree Seeds.]

Ding!

[Farming Experience +20]

After planting the seeds, Liu Yun continued by pressing the Watering icon.

Ding!

[Do you wish to water 10 plots of Spiritual Peach Tree Seeds, consuming 10 Farmer Energy?]

[Confirm] [Cancel]

Liu Yun pressed the [Confirm] button without thinking. A second later, more notifications appeared.

Ding!

[Successfully watered 10 plots of Spiritual Peach Tree Seeds. The Player has consumed 10 Farmer Energy.]

Ding!

[Basic Watering’s proficiency +10]

Ding!

[Farming Experience +20]

After she was done, Liu Yun closed the notifications, then accessed the Spiritual Garden’s map.

Seeing that a timer had appeared above the ten newly planted Spiritual Peach Trees, she thoughtfully muttered, "Mhm, it takes three days for the Spiritual Peach Trees to sprout. Instead of waiting, I should plant something in Farmland Plot 001."

With that, she closed the Spiritual Garden’s map, then opened Farmland Plot 001’s main interface.
