Chapter 101: The Mutant Queen’s Master

While Liu Yun was still in shock, Ye Xuan finally found the hole where the Mutant Queen was hiding.

As cold, murderous intent flashed across his eyes, Ye Xuan used his spatial-element energy to strike the entrance of the hole.

Boom!

Startled by the sudden explosion, Liu Yun exclaimed subconsciously, "Heaven!"

Before she could see what was happening, the hole above her head cracked and collapsed.

Crack! Crash!

Seeing this, Liu Yun’s body reacted faster than her brain. Without thinking, she instinctively jumped to the side, successfully avoiding the falling dirt and stones.

Boom!

When the heavy stones fell, dust filled the air, surrounding Liu Yun in a thick cloud. Fortunately, she was wearing a Multi-Function Survival Mask, so she was spared from inhaling the dust.

Waving her hands to clear the dust in front of her, Liu Yun looked up. Just when she was about to see what was happening, she heard Ye Xuan’s voice. 𝘧𝓇ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝘣𝓃ℴ

"Liu Yun!"

A second later, someone grabbed her wrist and wrapped an arm around her waist.

Startled, Liu Yun looked up and met Ye Xuan’s cold eyes. "Elder Brother Ye?"

Ye Xuan didn’t look at Liu Yun. Instead, his attention was focused on the girl standing not far from them. With his left arm around Liu Yun’s waist, he channeled his spatial-element energy into his right palm.

Realizing that Ye Xuan was going to fight the girl, Liu Yun hurriedly grabbed his right hand and shouted, "Elder Brother Ye, wait!"

Ye Xuan glanced at her, then said, "Don’t be afraid. I will bring you out of here safely."

The second he said this, Ye Xuan clenched his right hand. In an instant, the space where the girl was standing cracked open.

"Ah!" The girl screamed in pain as her upper and lower bodies were split into two pieces.

Witnessing this, Liu Yun’s eyes widened in horror. Before she could react, a notification rang in her mind.

Ding!

[Warning! Warning! Warning! Your contracted pet has been severely injured. Do you wish to spend 10 Celestial Stones to heal it?]

When Liu Yun heard this, she came back to her senses and hurriedly hugged Ye Xuan.

Using all her might, she held him tightly as she anxiously said, "Elder Brother Ye, that girl is my contracted pet! Please don’t hurt her!"

The second her words fell, Ye Xuan’s body froze. After a long moment of silence, he slowly looked at her and doubtfully asked, "What did you say?"

Liu Yun turned to look at the injured girl, then shuddered when she saw that she could still move even after being split into two pieces.

Shaking her head, she forcefully suppressed her nausea and fear, then looked at Ye Xuan and explained, "Elder Brother Ye, she is my contracted pet now. If you kill her, I will suffer the backlash."

What she said about the backlash was a lie, but it was true that she would need to pay for the treatment if the girl was injured.

Thinking about the capitalist System that kept eyeing her Celestial Stones, Liu Yun tightened her arms around Ye Xuan’s body.

Ye Xuan stared at Liu Yun’s pained expression for a moment, then looked at the Mutant Queen groaning in pain on the ground.

A second later, realization flashed across his eyes.

’Could it be that she also feels the Mutant Queen’s pain?’

The second this thought flashed through his mind, Ye Xuan’s heart sank. He took a deep breath, then lowered his right hand and said, "Fine. I won’t kill it for now."

Raising her head, Liu Yun stared into his eyes and carefully asked, "You really won’t kill it?"

Meeting her pair of clear eyes, Ye Xuan nodded and solemnly replied, "Mhm. I promise you, I won’t kill it as long as it doesn’t harm you."

Having received his promise, Liu Yun let out a sigh of relief and let go of him.

As she took two steps back, Ye Xuan felt a strange sense of disappointment and loss. Frowning slightly, he shook his head and thought, ’I must be too tired these days.’

Not knowing what he was thinking, Liu Yun looked at the girl lying on the ground in two pieces. Unable to handle the gory scene any longer, she hardened her heart and said, ’System, heal her.’

The second she said that, a transparent blue screen appeared before her.

Ding!

[Consuming 10 Celestial Stones to heal the Mutant Queen.]

[Confirm] [Cancel]

Looking at the transparent blue screen, Liu Yun used her mind to press the [Confirm] button. The second she made her choice, her Celestial Stones decreased by 10, and a faint green light shot out from her body.

As the faint green light surrounded the girl, black vines grew from the parts where she had been cut and slowly merged together.

Ding!

[Healing in process.]

Five seconds later, another notification came.

Ding!

[Healing is complete. Congratulations, Player, your contracted pet has returned to its peak condition!]

While Liu Yun listened to the notification, Ye Xuan watched the Mutant Queen vigilantly. Seeing her body slowly merge back together until she was completely healed, his expression darkened.

Clenching his fists, Ye Xuan’s eyes flickered coldly. ’I need to find a way to sever the Mutant Queen’s connection with Liu Yun and then kill her before she grows up.’

As Ye Xuan was planning how to kill her, the girl blinked in confusion, then got up from the ground. She looked down, then saw that her body had become one piece again.

After a moment of confusion, she suddenly looked at Liu Yun with bright eyes. Seeing that Liu Yun was staring at her, the girl tilted her head slightly and smiled.

Facing the girl’s smiling face, Liu Yun felt her scalp go numb. She grabbed Ye Xuan’s left arm, then tremblingly asked, "C, can you send us out?"

The girl pondered for a moment, then nodded. Raising her hands, the girl slowly opened her lips and said, "Master... hold..."
