Chapter 571 324: Calamity of the Ancient Insects

"In the past two months, the number of forces openly and secretly showing goodwill towards us has increased significantly."

"It's not just the Wizard Influence; many non-wizardly civilizations are also actively contacting us."

"Thanks to this, the business of the Star Alliance has become easier to conduct recently."

"Whether selling magic stones or procuring materials, everything is much smoother than before."

In the study, Lize's pleasant voice echoed, with an uncontrollable joyful smile on her face.

Since the news of the Floating City being constructed spread, the situation of the Star Alliance has undergone a dramatic transformation.

Many forces, like hungry wolves smelling meat, have flocked around wanting to befriend this young power rising like a new star, with limitless potential, vividly illustrating that power is truth.

Sunan smiled slightly, unsurprised by the result, and pondered for a moment before asking:

"What about the Wisdom Code?"

Lize's smile deepened as she said, "I've just communicated with the envoy from the Wisdom Code. They will henceforth open more resources to us for exchange, at lower prices, and there's a series of other cooperation as well."

"Now we can say we've completely distinguished ourselves from other affiliated organizations of the Wisdom Code. Rather than an affiliated organization, we are more like strategic partners."

Sunan nodded slightly: "There are still wise people in the Wisdom Society."

With the current strength of the Star Alliance, it no longer needs the Wisdom Code's protection.

The resources opened by the Wisdom Code for exchange with affiliated organizations are not as attractive to the Star Alliance as before.

After years of development and accumulation, the Star Alliance long has more channels to acquire or trade resources.

If the Wisdom Code still treats the Star Alliance as an affiliated organization, he would next consider breaking away from it.

But, obviously, the Wisdom Society is not so short-sighted and immediately released goodwill towards the Star Alliance, elevating it to an equal level of partnership.

This way, the two sides are actually equivalent to forming an alliance.

Moreover, it's a closer relationship than a general alliance.

Whether for the Wisdom Code or the Star Alliance, the benefits outweigh the drawbacks.

"The Wisdom Code has also placed a large order of magic stones with us, about one-tenth of our annual production," Lize subsequently said.

The number of magic stones the Star Alliance sells annually is astonishing; even one-tenth of the production is a huge business.

Sunan didn't hesitate much and directly decided: "Agree to them."

Who doesn't matter to whom the magic stones are sold?

Giving them to the Wisdom Code can further consolidate the relationship between the two sides.

In fact, as the Star Alliance pioneers and controls more dimensions, the secondary magic stone veins under its jurisdiction are growing at a tremendous speed, as many dimensions only have the value of developing secondary magic stone veins.

Thus, the magic stones the Star Alliance sells outside are also gradually increasing every year.

Were it not for Sunan having to personally synthesize magic stones and considering that flooding the market with too many would lower their price, the annual production of magic stones by the Star Alliance could rise a few more steps.

"Although the Star Alliance's strength has increased significantly now, there's still a clear gap to large Wizard Influences, so the current production of magic stones should not be raised too much to avoid attracting the covetousness of those large Wizard Influences."

Sunan pondered silently.

The profits brought by magic stone trading are still sufficient to support the Star Alliance's rapid development, without needing to rush aggressively.

"Have there been any other noteworthy events recently?"

After discussing business, Sunan routinely asked.

Initially, he was just asking casually, but Lize's reply made him slightly startled.

"There's no major event, but there is one interesting thing," Lize seemed to recall something suddenly and a smile appeared at the corner of her lips, "The Dark Throne's exploration of a dimension recently encountered a massive attack by insect beasts, resulting in the complete annihilation of the exploration force."

Lize's tone carried a hint of undisguised schadenfreude.

Given the enmity between the Dark Throne and the Star Alliance, hearing about setbacks for the Dark Throne pleased her greatly.

Upon hearing this, Sunan's expression shifted slightly.

"Insect beasts? What kind of insect beasts?"

"I'm not too sure about the details, but they probably aren't ordinary insects," Lize shook her head, "Based on the information I have, the Dark Throne's dimension exploration team wasn't weak. It was led by three Level 3 Wizards, including a descendant of True Spirit!"

"Being able to obliterate such a formidable team, those insect beasts must be powerful indeed; none of the currently known insect races possess such astonishing combat power, so I'm very curious about where they came from."

Sunan's heart skipped a beat, and he immediately understood.

It was most likely the ancient insect race that had annihilated the Dark Throne's exploration team.

The ancient insect race is an alien insect race from the ancient insect plane community, highly aggressive and destructive, frequently invading other dimensions, bringing death and destruction.

Only in the past, this race was a scourge in remote areas of the multiverse, harming individual dimensions, so neither Wizards nor Divine Spirits noticed this race.

Until later, when the ancient insect race suddenly seemed to go mad, attacking many dimensions all over, even encroaching on the territories of Wizards and Divine Spirits, drawing attention from many forces across the multiverse.

In Sunan's memory, the war instigated by the ancient insect race spread across most of the multiverse and later became known as the Ancient Insect Disaster.
