Chapter 373: Chapter 232: White Fox Girl

Su Xing, now without his Black Sword, formed his hands into blades. He began frantically slashing at his opponent, one strike after another.

Su Xing’s speed was so extreme that he left no afterimages. As his hand-blades sliced through the air, the very atmosphere seemed to thicken into viscous, transparent cement before instantly exploding into visible, high-pressure shockwaves that surged wildly in every direction.

With every move Su Xing made, the area immediately around him became a near-vacuum. Air from the wider surroundings rushed in to fill the void, only to be blasted apart by the ensuing shockwaves, keeping the zone perpetually devoid of air.

Faced with such terrifying attack speed, a grave expression appeared on the Witch Summoner’s face. He could barely even see Su Xing’s movements, let alone block them, without expending a great deal of effort.

However, as a being in the Tier Eight Realm who also possessed Origin, his Defense Power was unimaginably strong. He didn’t even consider defending. To him, blocking an enemy’s attack had always been a pointless exercise.

Attack! Attack! Attack!

Only by utterly crushing his opponent could the Witch Summoner achieve the upgrade he so desperately craved. Defense was a strategy for the weak!

The Witch Summoner thought this way, and so did Su Xing. The two men, both driven by a maddening desire to attack, clashed violently.

Su Xing’s face contorted as he let the Witch Summoner’s fists land on him, one after another, making no attempt to dodge or evade.

But now, those same terrifying fists, which had landed on Su Xing, seemed no different from those of an ordinary person. They did nothing more than cause the tri-colored Origin surrounding Su Xing’s body to ripple slightly, carrying no significant force.

Evidently,

Their exchange was direct and simple.

One could call it the ultimate principle of combat reduced to its most basic form, yet this simple battle generated a series of terrifyingly massive sound waves.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!!!!!!!

It was as if countless missiles were slamming into the ground, the massive explosions roaring in an unending series. The air around the two fighters was utterly shredded by their savage power, creating terrifying blasts of wind strong enough to tear Tier Six and Tier Seven Transcendent s to pieces.

The area where they fought was like a field being carpet-bombed by missiles. Terrifying sonic booms and destructive blasts of air raged wildly, annihilating everything in sight.

The ground, the surrounding cliffs, and the nearby lake all roiled from the intensity of their insane battle. Boulders rained down like meteorites, and the lake’s surface bubbled as if it were boiling water.

A spectacle this terrifying naturally drew the attention of powerful experts from all over. People from every direction turned their focus to this location, especially those from Dragon Gate, for they had just received news that another Dragon-locking Pillar had crumbled.

This shocking news made the Dragon Gate Master’s heart leap into his throat. He couldn’t even imagine what kind of people could shatter a Dragon-locking Pillar with their fighting. Even if it was just one, it was still a terrifying feat.

Of course, the awe of these onlookers had no effect on Su Xing and the Witch Summoner. The battle between them grew ever more intense, reaching a fever pitch. Neither Su Xing nor the Witch Summoner was holding anything back; they were now fighting for their very lives.

This was especially true for Su Xing. He could clearly feel the power from the shattered swords draining away. ’If I can’t finish him quickly, I’m dead for sure once this power is gone and the backlash hits. This is from shattering three swords at once. I’d only ever shattered two before, and the side effects were something I never want to experience again. If I hadn’t run into such an insurmountable foe, I never would have shattered three and gone all-in like this.’

By now, the sword techniques Su Xing had learned from the system had been completely refined, their complexity stripped away to reveal a brutal simplicity. It was impossible to identify any specific school of swordplay in his movements; each strike was a fusion of many.

With his current power and in his current state, nearly every punch and palm strike was accompanied by the piercing shriek of a sword.

Each shriek was like an invisible, sharp sword materializing in the air, aimed straight for a vital point.

As for the Witch Summoner, his techniques came from a thousand-year heritage of the Witch Race, their profoundness self-evident. He had now swelled up like a balloon, growing several sizes larger. Thick, blue veins writhed like earthworms across his entire body.

Clearly,

The Witch Summoner had also been forced to play his trump card.

This was obviously a Secret Technique used to enhance his own power.

However,

Even though both had been pushed this far,

Neither could find a way to defeat the other.

Although Su Xing was enhanced by a full three types of Origin—his power far surpassing ordinary Tier Six, Seven, or Eight fighters—the gap in their fundamental realms was still very real.

As a result, every one of Su Xing’s attacks was intercepted by the Witch Summoner’s various techniques. This prevented Su Xing from inflicting any substantial, fatal damage; the blows that did land felt like little more than tickles.

It could be said,

The Witch Summoner was the strongest enemy Su Xing had ever faced.

’Of course,’ Su Xing thought, ’there are many others who haven’t used their full strength against me, like the Old Curator and Li Longxuan. I’ve never seen what they’re truly capable of, but I bet they’re on the same level as this Witch Summoner.’
