Swordsmanship Coach: Kill with One Slash
Chapter 363 - 227: Shadow Needle
Chapter 363: Chapter 227: Shadow Needle
The headquarters of the Special Organization.
Specifically, the headquarters of the Capital City’s Special Organization. While the regional branches were nominally autonomous and could handle their own affairs, everyone knew the Capital City’s branch was the undeniable core of the entire structure.
This wasn’t just because of its location, which was of the highest political significance. It also possessed a level of power unimaginable to other regions. Had the Modu Special Organization not caught up in recent years, the Capital City branch would have been the undisputed strongest.
Consequently, most of the Xia Country leadership’s directives for Extraordinary Beings originated from the Capital City Special Organization before being passed down to the other regional branches.
However, Xia Country had shown no reaction at all this time, which was very strange. Thus, Su Xing asked:
"Aren’t the higher-ups going to stop this?"
"The higher-ups?"
Ruo Jing was a bit surprised by Su Xing’s tone but didn’t dwell on it. He simply said, "The higher-ups have, of course, reacted. This situation *is* their reaction."
"..."
Su Xing was surprised to hear this. The Luocheng and Liu City organizations had received the news, so Cang City must have as well. He had just left too early to see the message from command.
But this wasn’t what puzzled Su Xing the most. It was the fact that Xia Country’s leadership was actually allowing this sort of private conflict. He knew that conflict inevitably led to casualties, which would in turn weaken the nation’s overall combat strength.
’Unless the losses from this conflict are far outweighed by its potential benefits.’ Su Xing was by no means arrogant. He believed that those who had risen to such high positions must be highly capable in their own right.
So the higher-ups must have a reason, some benefit he couldn’t yet fathom. ’I just have too little information to guess what they’re trying to do.’ He shook his head and decided to stop dwelling on it.
"Hasn’t Yin Crow arrived?"
Su Xing asked. To be honest, he’d been a little surprised to hear that Li Ye was here. Li Ye was supposed to be heading to the Cyan Cloud Sect with Yin Crow in the near future. Yet, with neither Yin Crow nor anyone from the Cyan Cloud Sect present, Li Ye had arrived.
’Unless this flower is extremely important to Li Ye. Does he have someone he wants to save?’
All sorts of questions surfaced in his mind, but Su Xing had no time to ponder them, because Ruo Jing’s voice was already in his ear.
"Senior, we’re here."
As Ruo Jing’s words registered, Su Xing looked ahead. Desperate Gorge appeared just as it always had, with a hazy mist shrouding the entire canyon entrance.
Hundreds of people were gathered at the entrance—men and women, young and old. It was a chaotic scene, like a convention for Extraordinary Beings.
"All right, you two need to go find your branch head, right?"
Su Xing glanced at the two men beside him. He had only brought them along to gather information, not to actually take them into the gorge. After all, they were still members of the organization.
"Yes."
"We’ve already finalized our plans with our branch head. Running into you was quite unexpected, Senior. If you don’t have any other requests, we’ll be on our way."
Ruo Jing said.
"Don’t reveal my presence here," Su Xing said, looking at the two of them.
"D-Don’t worry."
The two of them said hurriedly.
’To Luocheng and Liu City, the sudden appearance of a Tier Six Martial Artist from Cang City must be a shock. If I can, I should minimize my presence. That’s the only way I can catch them off guard when the time is right.’
To be honest, if these two hadn’t been members of the organization, Su Xing might have even considered knocking them out before entering Desperate Gorge. But their sudden disappearance, coupled with his own inability to clone himself or use a disguise, would surely arouse suspicion from the Liu City faction.
Therefore, Su Xing abandoned the idea.
’As for the taboo of attacking fellow organization members, that had never been a concern for him. It’s not like he would kill them, just knock them out for a bit, that’s all.’
"Take me inside."
Su Xing glanced at the entrance to Desperate Gorge. Disciples from various sects and clans were stationed there. If he wanted to enter unnoticed, he would likely need the help of these two.
The two men exchanged a glance, then nodded in agreement. Su Xing then followed them, and they quickly entered Desperate Gorge.
At the entrance to Desperate Gorge, the sect disciples posted as guards all recognized the two Tier Seven experts from the Special Organization. As such, no one dared to block their path.
As for Su Xing, who followed behind them, no one stopped him either, even though most didn’t recognize him. And so, with an unobstructed path, Su Xing successfully entered the gorge rumored to be devoid of all life.
The moment he stepped inside, Su Xing felt the energy of the Dragon-locking Pillars. He tried to tear through space, only to find it was as solid as if it had been nailed shut.
’This thing is rather interesting.’
Su Xing mused to himself as his gaze swept forward. While most of the sect disciples had remained outside, a handful had already made their way in.
The ones who had entered weren’t all particularly powerful; many were Tier Six, or even lower.
Su Xing could see right through them with a single glance. ’Even though I’m also Tier Six, I just have too many trump cards.’ The cumulative effect of his abilities made him a terrifyingly overpowered Tier Six Martial Artist.
