Surviving the Infinite Survival Game by Exploiting Glitches
Chapter 205: You Can Rest Assured I’ll Handle Things
[Building 17, Unit 506, Outer Ring Road]
Lin Yun thought for a moment, then sent over the address.
**Song Zhenzhen:** "Wow, that’s so far! I’m in Building 2~"
Song Zhenzhen let out a sigh. Buildings 2 and 17 were quite far apart, and without any kind of transportation it would take a long time to walk there. Still, she was willing to go to such lengths for the sake of her pretty sister. She did not mind the long walk in the least.
After sending Lin Yun one more message, Song Zhenzhen picked up her small basket and headed out.
The chat area was still bustling. Lin Yun watched the excitement for a while longer, then switched over to the world channel. As always, all sorts of languages were flying around in a dizzying jumble.
"Never mind," she muttered, and quickly backed out.
She got up, tidied the shelter, and then went out to the backyard to check on her plants. The shelter was calm and quiet, and soft morning light slanted through the windows.
The number of mutated plants in the yard had grown. She was also becoming more and more adept with the Wood Spirit Breath. Nearly every second use was enough to turn an ordinary plant into a mutated species. The greenery rustled in the breeze, thick and lush.
"Looks like the backyard isn’t big enough."
Lin Yun gazed at the fully occupied yard and felt an even stronger longing for a front yard.
"System~"
[Expansion is fine, but nothing else.]
The system cut off her wheedling before she could even begin. Lin Yun’s lips twitched again. She had not expected the system to predict her so precisely.
Still, she had no plans to plant anything new for the time being. She would simply leave things as they were. The plants had been growing well for so long without a single complaint, so they could wait. She would plant more next time.
[Mutant plants in the backyard: ?]
[Again!]
The ivy in the corner called out to her.
"What’s wrong?" Lin Yun crouched down once more and poked at its vines. Its leaves drooped a little, looking rather pitiful.
[The mutated plant chunks are all gone. There were too many plants, and they ate too much.]
The ivy sighed helplessly as it spoke. It had been reluctant to absorb the nutrients from those chunks itself, and had given every last bit to the mutated species instead.
Lin Yun knew about the mutated plant chunks, of course. There had never been many of them to begin with, so it was already quite impressive that they had lasted this long.
"System, could you please open a backdoor for me in the points mall?"
[Dream on.]
The refusal was swift and absolutely merciless. She pursed her lips. It seemed she would have to come up with a solution on her own.
She opened her personal panel and sent a message to Song Xizheng. She had no idea whether that creature was asleep. It was already back at the transfer station, and it was so quiet. There was not a sound from it. After waiting two full minutes, she concluded that, yes, this fellow was almost certainly fast asleep.
Crouching had begun to tire her legs, so she simply plopped down on the ground.
Then Lin Yun posted a question of her own: "Does anyone have plant fertilizer? I have [Mutant Tomatoes] for sale."
She sent it on the Chinese channel first. If nothing came of it, she would try the world channel later.
**Lu Xiaoxiao:** "What’s the point of that? It’s better to just pluck things from the survival world than to grow plants."
**Xue Jin:** "Fertilizer, huh? I doubt anyone hoards that stuff. It’s probably hard to find."
**Guo Yizhen:** "Wow, you need fertilizer? Are you growing things yourself? My friend, I advise you not to bother. Farming is far too slow!"
**Xiong Qi:** "It’s none of your business whether they plant things or not. If they do, they do. If they don’t, they don’t."
The instant Xiong Qi saw Lin Yun speak up again, he realized what he had forgotten.
He had forgotten that Lin Yun still had a friend request waiting! The two of them had developed a certain kind of bond in that special world, so he really ought to add her! He also fired off a message to George, telling him not to forget either.
**George:** "Do you think it’s possible that I added her right after I got back?"
**Xiong Qi:** "Get lost! Why didn’t you remind me, you bastard? (Smiling face emoji)"
After contacting Xiong Qi’s friend, Lin Yun waited a good while, but nobody came looking for her about the fertilizer.
She sighed. "Nobody’s stockpiling fertilizer?"
China was a major agricultural country! Had nobody taken up farming anymore? How outrageous! She could hardly believe such a basic need had gone unanswered.
"By the way, System, please go collect the ordinary fruits and vegetables from my backpack and basement yourself, and transfer the points to my account."
[Oh! Thank you, my dear host, for the fresh fruits and vegetables!]
To be perfectly honest, the system itself had forgotten that items could be recycled once they entered the transfer station.
"Keep everything that was taken from the supermarket before, except for the feminine hygiene products. Leave plenty of toiletries and snacks. As for the rest, you can decide what to keep, but remember to leave some for me. Don’t just leave me a little!"
[Don’t worry, my dear host, you can rest assured I’ll handle things!]
The system happily went off to plunder Lin Yun’s backpack and basement. When it was done looting, it did not forget to tidy her messy belongings and arrange them back onto the shelves.
Lin Yun had brought quite a few extra shelves back from the supermarket in the zombie world. The system had no need of shelves to acquire items, and since it was idle after returning to the transfer station anyway, tidying up for Lin Yun was no trouble at all.
It was also overjoyed at the thought of the large sum of points it would earn once those items were sold.
"System, seriously, can you raise the unit price? I have a lot of stuff, you know."
[Dear Host!]
[Since you allowed me to acquire so many things this time, here is a reward for you.]
[Three more slots have been added to the points mall, and the items are now available.]
Lin Yun immediately sat up straight, her eyes narrowing with sudden suspicion. "Didn’t you say before that you didn’t have the authority?"
[The past is the past, and the present is the present.]
The system’s tone was extremely self-righteous.
Lin Yun leaned back again. Fine. The system had the right to interpret everything however it liked, didn’t it? Okay, okay. She had been speaking too loudly, so she shut her mouth.
"Wait, that’s not right!"
"If you can purchase things at the transfer station, why wouldn’t you let me purchase them in the survival world?"
[There is also a limit on what can be purchased at the transfer station, a maximum of 2,000 points. Otherwise, wouldn’t everyone buy a ton of stuff and then wait to return to the transfer station to buy more? The system isn’t stupid.]
"So you mean my pile of stuff doesn’t even come to 2,000 points?"
[It does, and then some. You have exceeded it by over 500. Would you like to exchange the excess for item cards or other rewards, or shall I transfer it to your account the next time you come to the transfer station, based on your next purchase points?]
"Couldn’t you have waited until I went into the survival world to give it to me?"
[Dream on.]
Lin Yun sighed yet again. There wasn’t a single bug she could exploit to get around the rules, but it was still pretty good. At the very least, she could earn some points once she entered the transfer station. A steady trickle of points was better than none, she told herself.
"Alright, then. Give me the excess as prop cards."
[Please wait. They will be sent to your mailbox before 8 PM!]
With the system busy, Lin Yun switched over to the points mall to see what good items were on offer.
500g of plant nutrient fertilizer, mutated plant energy stone, and random pet food.
Oh!
This was exactly what she needed! Thank you, System!
She read the descriptions with growing delight. Few people would want these things, so the prices were quite cheap, not expensive at all. A single one cost just 5 points. At that price, she could afford to be generous.
Lin Yun promptly bought 50 of each type, spending 750 points. She put everything directly into her backpack and took out one of each item.
The fertilizer looked much like ordinary fertilizer, and she couldn’t really tell the difference. She would try sprinkling some on the plants later. She had high hopes for the results.
