Vivian was utterly furious. She had no desire at all to fight these people and these giant beasts. She wanted to go up to that room as quickly as she could!

The scepter had already told her that someone was in the room, testing the lock there. It also said that the key must have been given away by Linglan, and that this person was in that room right now!

She had to stop that reckless person at all costs, whatever happened. She could not let him find the matching lock. Absolutely not, under any circumstances!

Vivian stumbled backward a few steps, retreating step by step toward the stairs. If she took a few more steps back, she would surely fall down.

Arya nervously took two steps forward in sudden alarm. As Vivian’s mother, she naturally and instinctively did not want her daughter to get hurt. But the Vivian of today was clearly not the Vivian of the past. Thinking of this, she had no choice but to force herself to stop caring.

Vivian also noticed Arya’s movement just then. Her eyes flashed brightly, and an idea suddenly came into her mind.

She glanced at the two enormous beasts beside her that were eyeing her menacingly and gradually approaching, then suddenly pretended to be dizzy and swayed on her feet for a moment. When she looked up again, the red in her eyes had turned back into the same black they had been before.

"Vivian..."

Arya could not help but call out to her daughter.

But neither Sang Biao nor Tuan Tuan let down their guard for even a moment. They did not believe that this human could really have recovered so easily. Lin Yun had often told them that some bad people were very cunning, and that such people could not be trusted.

Right at that moment, a strange noise came from the stairwell. Sang Biao tilted its head, somewhat surprised, but it did not say anything about it and continued to stare at Vivian.

"Mother..."

Vivian looked past the two giant beasts and gazed straight at Arya.

Song Xizheng and his three companions quickly moved and stood in front of Arya and the others to prevent Vivian from plotting anything else against them.

"Mommy... Little Bear..."

Vivian’s tears fell as she deeply regretted tearing the teddy bear to pieces and throwing it away outside.

Arya felt a sharp pang of heartache, but she also knew perfectly well in her heart that this was not Vivian. She had known from the very moment Vivian tore up the toy bear that this was not her real daughter.

Vivian was then taken into custody.

...

Meanwhile, in the room on the top floor, Lin Yun fiddled with the locks around her and at last found the keyhole in the wall. The shape of the keyhole was very similar to that of the key in her hand.

Without any hesitation at all, she inserted the key into the lock and turned it with her hand.

The keyhole suddenly emitted a bright and dazzling light. Lin Yun was so blinded by the bright light that she closed her eyes and took a few steps backward. Ghost Vine quickly came up to her and used its vines to block some of the light for her.

Then, in the middle of the darkness, a dazzling light spread and appeared above both the amusement park and the castle.

The tourists who had died in both places were all reduced to ashes at once. The tourists who had not died also returned to their original appearance, the way they used to look. With a bang, they all turned into tiny, fluffy spheres. Realizing that they had returned to normal, they immediately turned around and ran away in a hurry, trying to find some place to hide themselves, fearing that they would be caught and brought back.

The three-colored vests also reverted to their original appearance, which was that of the amusement park staff. Their tricolor vests were gone, and they had returned to their usual attire. The damaged rides in the amusement park were being repaired one by one, right before everyone’s eyes, and those that should not exist at all were being removed one by one.

The NPCs also returned to their original appearance, and they were no longer affected in any way by the NPC layer that had been placed on them.

More importantly, the black monster disappeared completely. Arya, the butler, and the others also returned to their original forms, the ones they had before.

Tong Yin, who had been sent flying by Vivian’s palm strike earlier, closed her eyes after seeing Lily of the Valley, Rose, and the others rushing up the stairs toward her.

Vivian fell to her knees on the ground, because a knife had been plunged into her back.

"Vivian!"

Arya rushed over and hugged Vivian tightly in her arms.

Sang Biao and Tuan Tuan quietly stepped aside, clearly sensing that Vivian’s life force was slipping away. It seemed that Youyou’s mission had been successfully completed. They exchanged a glance with each other and, in unison, ran upstairs together.

Woohoo, let’s go back and find Youyou.

"Then what about us?" Song Xizheng asked tentatively, turning to the others.

Song Zhenzhen glanced once in the direction where Arya and the others were standing. "Let’s go. We won’t disturb them."

They glanced at Vivian one last time before they headed upstairs.

"Mother..."

Vivian leaned against Arya’s chest and slowly looked up at her. After a while, she raised her hand to gently touch her mother’s face. Arya knew right away, without any doubt, that this was the real Vivian.

"Mom, I’m sorry... I think I’ve done a lot of wrong things."

Vivian laughed softly to herself, but then she started to cry. She understood everything now. It turned out that the lock was the key to restoring everything.

She had always believed that everything the man in the black robe said was correct. She had followed the man in the black robe’s method and regained her mother’s and the others’ memories, so she had believed him without a single doubt. But who would ever have thought that the lock was the correct answer?

"It’s okay, it’s okay! Mom knows you didn’t mean it." Arya hugged Vivian close, knowing that she would not survive. She had no right to beg them to let Vivian live.

The butler and the others stood aside, watching everything happen in complete silence.

Linglan, holding the lifeless Tong Yin, silently and quietly left the castle by way of the bottom of the stairs. No one knew how Tong Yin had managed to do it. The rule that no one could ever leave the amusement park had been broken, and Linglan carried Tong Yin out of the amusement park.

Rose did not follow them there. It would not have been appropriate for her to follow at a time like this. Rose glanced up toward the stairs, pursed her lips, and did not go up. She decided to go and check on her friends instead.

In the end, Vivian died in the arms of her beloved mother. Arya held Vivian tightly, sobbing uncontrollably as she did so.

The small scepter, having lost all of its strength and power, fell to the ground. The red light on it flickered a few times before it finally lost its luster. One ball of red light broke free from the small scepter and quietly slipped away without anyone noticing.

What happened to Arya afterward was none of Lin Yun’s concern at all.

Once she was sure that she had completed her mission, she quickly ducked into the shelter and happily lay down to rest. Too many trivial things had happened today. She needed to hurry up, wash up, and go straight to bed, to have a date with her favorite bed.

Before that, however, Lin Yun grabbed the two little ones again, carefully examined them from head to tail, and only released them after confirming that they were not injured at all.

"Oh dear, I already told you that I wasn’t injured. Cats fight incredibly fiercely and bravely, and it’s impossible for me to get hurt."

Having escaped from Lin Yun’s clutches, Sang Biao licked his ruffled fur and boasted with an air of great arrogance.

But Lin Yun simply would not listen. How could she possibly feel at ease letting her own cat go out and get into a fight?

Tuan Tuan was much more obedient than Sang Biao, letting herself be examined quietly and patiently and nestling down to groom herself.

The Ghost Vine was also spread out like a vine pancake off to one side, no longer climbing the star tea tree, which showed that it was completely exhausted.

After she finished taking a shower, Lin Yun went straight to sleep, not even bothering to contact Song Xizheng and the others first. She felt relieved because Sang Biao had already told her about everything that happened as soon as she came back.

The system, which had just come back after applying for the reward, saw that Lin Yun was asleep again, so it decided to put the reward aside for now and deal with it again tomorrow.
