Chapter 2948 - 2948: Are You Messing With Me?

Cursing inwardly, Su Yang's face remained gentle, smiling faintly: "In that case, we have indeed wronged you all!"

"Just in time, we've already started the war with the Guardian God."

"Since you all want to help the Human Clan so much, quickly, join us in battle!"

The five of them almost vomited blood; they hid here precisely to avoid participating in the great war between the Human Clan and the Guardian God.

Unexpectedly, as soon as Su Yang spoke, he directly suggested they join the battle. What a coincidence!

"Su Alliance Leader, the Human Clan and the Guardian God have started fighting, why... why are you still running outside?" One of the strongest couldn't help but ask.

The other four nodded in agreement, indeed, the battle has begun, yet you still have time to go looking for people?

Su Yang chuckled: "Yes, the fight has started, but we lost and had to escape."

"However, seeing you, we've suddenly regained hope and decided to fight back."

"You five, let's go, don't waste time!"

The five exchanged glances, reluctant to leave with Su Yang.

"Su Alliance Leader, this... there's no need to rush this matter..." one of the strongest said: "Since we're already out, then... let's wait, gather enough strength, and then confront the Guardian God; wouldn't that be more suitable?"

"Indeed, indeed. If we're not strong enough, we're just going to die, why bother?"

The other strongest quickly agreed, all clamoring for Su Yang to first build up his strength.

Su Yang sneered: "You all needn't worry."

"The Guardian God's power isn't what it used to be; if we join forces, we can definitely defeat them."

"All of you, follow me, don't waste time."

"I know where the Guardian God is, once they escape, it'll be tough to find them again!"

Saying this, Su Yang waved his hand: "Let's go!"

The five of them looked distressed, they really didn't want to follow Su Yang.

Exchanging glances, the five made a simultaneous decision.

The leader smiled: "Since Su Alliance Leader says so, let's not waste any more time."

"Su Alliance Leader, lead the way, we'll follow you!"

The other four nodded, indicating for Su Yang to lead.

"Great!" Su Yang smiled faintly and turned to lead the way.

Seeing all the Human Clan's strongest turn to leave, the five strongest immediately turned and flew quickly towards the distant sky, unwilling to linger here even for a moment.

They had long decided to escape, not to follow Su Yang, nor to engage in the matters between the Human Clan and the Guardian God.

However, before they got far, a beam of light already appeared in front of them; it was Su Yang.

"Everyone, your direction seems to be wrong!" Su Yang said leisurely.

The five looked extremely troubled; they knew Su Yang was powerful, but hadn't expected him to be this strong. He caught up to them so quickly.

It seemed running away from Su Yang was impossible!

"Su Alliance Leader, we have no grudge with the Guardian God. Asking us to deal with the Guardian God, this... isn't appropriate..." one of the strongest murmured.

"Then I have no grudge with you, I saved you, isn't this also inappropriate?" Su Yang countered.

The five strongest exchanged glances, the leader summoned courage and said: "Su Alliance Leader, you should know in your heart why you saved us!"

"You simply wanted us to help you against the Guardian God, that's why you saved us."

"From the beginning, your intentions weren't pure, what right do you have to criticize us?"

Su Yang nodded calmly: "Indeed, my intentions weren't pure from the start."

"However, after resurrecting you, I also told you the truth."

"If you were unwilling to help us against the Guardian God, you could have just said so. But you agreed yet broke your promise, isn't that playing us?"

"If you hadn't agreed, I wouldn't have said a word. But you agreed, so you must keep your promise; it's the basic principle, isn't it?"

The five strongest exchanged glances, one whispered: "If we didn't agree, would you let us go that easily?"

"We had no choice but to employ words to stall you, what's wrong with that?"

Su Yang sneered: "You're underestimating me, Su Yang!"

"I made it clear to you back then, how you choose is up to you; we wouldn't trouble you. Even if you want to help the Guardian God, that's your choice, and we won't interfere; you could leave freely."

"Many chose not to get involved and remained neutral, they left freely."

"But you said you would help the Human Clan, and yet didn't fulfill your promise."

"At this point, saying you stalled me with words, don't you think it's laughable?"

"You're using your petty thoughts to ponder others' actions?"

The five looked distressed, the leader said gravely: "Su Alliance Leader, the Human Clan's strength is far inferior to the Guardian God."

"This battle has no hope of victory."

"We can clearly tell you now, we absolutely will not get involved in the battle between the Human Clan and the Guardian God, is that enough?"

Su Yang's face turned cold: "It's too late to say that now."

"I came to you not because you agreed to help the Human Clan, but because you agreed to help and then reneged."

"Not keeping your promise is playing us, and that's the real reason for our anger!"

All five were furious, the leader said sternly: "So what's your intention, Su Alliance Leader?"

"We five indeed broke our promise, but what's the point in being so aggressive?"

"Are you planning to fight us five to the bitter end?"

"Don't forget, we are all strong. If we fight, our power may not match yours. But killing us won't be easy either!"

Su Yang sneered and suddenly raised his hand, the World Tree appeared directly above him.

"Just want to kill you? One Su Yang is enough!"

Su Yang shouted, and the World Tree lunged at the five, enveloping them beneath its branches.

The five didn't know what Su Yang intended; for a moment, they were bemused, only watching the World Tree vigilantly.

Once the World Tree enveloped them, it suddenly opened wide, trapping all five within its branches.
