Supreme Swordsman System
Chapter 18 - Blushing
Chapter 18: 18 - Blushing
The house really was huge. Although it wasn’t a castle or some grand structure like the academy, King definitely wouldn’t have been able to afford the yard before, let alone the house.
Although the house wasn’t as luxurious as King had imagined, he was sure there was no one living near Iris who dared to show off more than her.
With Iris’s temper, if someone dared to build something much more extravagant near her, she would definitely come over to ’pay a visit’. Even if she didn’t beat anyone up, who wouldn’t be afraid of trouble when the ’strongest cultivator’ suddenly came to pay them a visit?
"Tsk, you really know how to enjoy yourself, huh?"
Iris’s house wasn’t too luxurious, but the scenery around it was among the very best. Even though he kept saying this was just a novel, King suddenly felt jealous when comparing this place to where he had lived before.
But letting ordinary humans live here really wasn’t ideal. The cold weather wasn’t too important, but this place lacked too many conveniences. And more importantly, it lacked people.
No hospital, no supermarket, no school, no entertainment... Living here was no different from being socially isolated.
"No. What stupid thing am I thinking? This is just a novel. Even if the entire universe combined isn’t even as good as me, why would I pay attention to this tiny place?"
The thought that shouldn’t have appeared was immediately crushed by King’s arrogance. He didn’t even care about the strongest human on Earth, so why would he care about her house?
[Master, you are absolutely right. You are now standing in a completely different position than before, so your vision should be much greater. That is only reasonable.]
The system immediately agreed. Its master was invincible, so there was no way he could have such petty thoughts about something like a house.
King didn’t hesitate anymore and ran straight toward Iris’s house. The more he ran, the more familiar he became with his current speed.
A sudden increase in speed that was too high also required time to adapt. The system only gave King the power, while how he adapted to it depended on him. With the extreme talent of a great reader, his adaptation went extremely easily.
The closer King got to Iris’s house, the more something felt wrong. When he finally arrived in front of her gate, he stood there blankly for several seconds.
As if afraid that others wouldn’t know where this was, there was even a sign right in front of the gate that said ’Iris’s House’.
The fence was way too low. Even a rank I cultivator could jump straight over it. The door to the house wasn’t even locked, allowing the cold air to keep flowing inside.
Looking at the house that had absolutely no sense of caution, King felt like crushing the key in his hand.
"Damn it, did you give me the key just to watch me make a fool of myself?"
Holding the key in his hand but having nothing locked for King to open made him feel like an idiot being toyed with.
"Hmph, then don’t blame me. Ah no, what right do you have to blame me?"
The corner of King’s mouth curled up with an ’evil’ look as he quietly entered the house without making a sound. Looking at his sneaky appearance like a thief, it was obvious he had no good intentions. If he wasn’t stealing something, he was there to cause trouble.
As soon as he entered, King was stunned by how clean the house was. This cleanliness wasn’t simply about keeping things hygienic. Aside from the basic furniture, there wasn’t anything else inside.
If it weren’t for the sign in front of the gate that said ’Iris’s House’, King would have thought this was a newly built apartment that was up for sale. Iris probably didn’t stay home often, which was why it was like this.
No, this wouldn’t do. What if there wasn’t anything important or anything she treasured for me to steal? Then how could I use it to threaten her?
The thought in King’s head was probably very childish, but that was really what he was thinking.
He figured the old him would have been furious if someone stole his phone, the one thing he always used to read novels. So he decided to do the same to her.
The more he searched, the more hopeless King became. Could this house have been built not long ago? It was so new that it couldn’t possibly be any newer. Even the kitchen was completely empty and spotless, as if Iris had never cooked before.
Just when he was bored to death because he couldn’t find anything, the sound of running water from somewhere caught his attention. Following the sound of running water, he came to a room.
The moment he looked inside, he saw a large bed, and this was also the only place where King saw some of Iris’s other belongings, unlike the other places.
This room had both a bedroom and a bathroom. Although it was called a room, it was even bigger than many people’s houses. This place was probably spacious enough for Iris to practice her swordsmanship.
Standing in front of the room, King suddenly hesitated to enter even though it was completely silent inside, as if there was no one there. He had never properly entered a woman’s room before, so sneaking in now suddenly made him feel very awkward.
What the hell am I doing? I’m actually hesitating over something so trivial? No way!
This feeling disturbed his mind for less than five seconds before King’s eyes became extremely determined again. His resolute expression, as if he was about to make some major decision, became really funny considering that what he was doing was sneaking into Iris’s room.
Following the sound of running water, King went straight to the bathroom. The bathroom door wasn’t locked, and the sound of running water made him think she had forgotten to turn off the water, so he immediately became more confident. From sneaking around while crouching, he now stood up straight and walked over as if this were his house.
Not only did he walk in openly, but the bathroom door, which was originally open just a small crack, was kicked wide open by him. He couldn’t beat Iris, but she wasn’t home right now, so taking his anger out on the door was fine.
"You!"
The moment the door was kicked wide open, King’s face immediately turned bright red, his eyes darting around continuously in extreme embarrassment.
Under the hazy steam, a slender body with perfectly defined muscles, flawless like a sculpture, was revealed right before his eyes.
