Chapter 1147: A Fiery Demise

Just the thought of forcing Valeria down and having her way with her was enough to send another wave of excitement through Malovena’s body, and Malovena began to tap her feet as anticipation filled her body.

’Where are those fools? They should be here by now.’

Malovena frowned as a wave of impatience travelled through her! Her crew members shouldn’t be wasting so much time.

’How difficult can it be to lure one man out to -’

Malovena suddenly broke out of her thoughts as she felt her instincts blaring to life and warning her of danger! Malovena immediately turned around sharply, and she was shocked to see two hooded figures standing right behind her! One of the hooded figures was a woman standing a few meters away, but the second figure was the same man Malovena was waiting for, and he was looking right at her!

’You-!’

Malovena lashed out with a punch out of pure instinct, but she was shocked when the man caught her hand easily! Malovena knew that her strength was one of the highest amongst all TITAN Rank III’s, but at that moment, Malovena couldn’t even pull her hand out from the man’s grip, and Malovena was quickly realising that this man might be far stronger than she had predicted!

’Is he a PRIMORDIAL!? What have I done!?’

Malovena couldn’t believe that she had been thinking of fighting a PRIMORDIAL! Malovena had met PRIMORDIALs before, but she would’ve never in a million years thought that Valeria’s mysterious acquaintance was one of those monsters! Malovena tried to say something, but Jason pulled Malovena around and lashed out with a kick that slammed into her left knee! The sound of a bone snapping echoed through the loading bay as Malovena was sent to the ground, and Jason reached out and wrapped his left hand around Malovena’s mouth before she could scream and attract attention! Malovena’s eyes were wide in shock, and there was an intense look of pain deep inside them! Malovena desperately wanted to beg for forgiveness, but she would not have the opportunity for that!

[Phoenix Fire]!

The hand over Malovena’s mouth sparked with a golden flame, and Jason channelled the fire straight into Malovena’s body! Over the past few weeks, Jason had been training every day with both his Qi as well as Phoenix fire to become better at channelling and controlling it! So once Jason activated the skill, he was able to channel it straight down Malovena’s mouth and into her body! An impossible heat surged through Malovena’s body as she burned from the inside out, and the flames were so intense that none of her natural magical defences were able to protect her!

Jason only channelled his fire for a few seconds, and once he let Malovena go, she fell forward and slammed face-first into the floor in a lifeless heap! The invisibility artefact deactivated, and her burnt and scorched figure appeared in front of Jason. Jason looked down at the woman with a condescending gaze before he put his hand forward and called out.

’Resurrect.’

DOON!

A wave of mana flowed out from Jason and flew towards Malovena’s body, and Jason grabbed hold of Malovena’s soul and pulled it out into the real world! Since Jason was so much stronger than Malovena, her soul didn’t stand a chance of fighting back! Jason’s mana easily broke through Malovena’s resolve, and Jason watched as the soul of the large red-skinned woman clawed its way out of her body and immediately went to one knee in front of Jason.

Bulk: This is a unique skill wielded by all members of the Red Skin Ogre race. It grants the user the ability to increase his strength, stamina, and durability significantly by sending an excess of magical power through his body and flooding all his cells with this power.

At the current level, the user can increase his base stats by 200%

The user must keep in mind that this increase in power will also lead to a significant decrease in his cognitive capacity, making the user far more aggressive and incapable of separating friends from foes. The user will basically become a Berserker; therefore, the system advises the user to only use this skill when absolutely necessary.

Jason read through the system message quickly, and he was actually very impressed when he saw the description of the [Bulk] skill! The ability to improve your strength by 200% using only your mana was something that would make most mages extremely dangerous on the battlefield! But once Jason saw that the power would also reduce his cognitive abilities and make him a mindless attacker, Jason immediately lost all interest in using the skill! Although Jason was interested in skills that would allow him to grow stronger, Jason also knew that his mind was his strongest weapon. Losing your mind in the middle of a battle with that much power flowing through you was like giving a gun to a madman! You had no idea what would happen!

"Master, what do we do now?"

Stella walked up from behind Jason as she asked this, and Jason spoke up.

"I have a plan to handle the rest of the Red Skins. I need you to go and find Valeria and bring her to the docking station where the ships are parked. I should be done by the time you arrive."

Stella nodded seriously before she fell into the shadows and left, and Jason put his hands in his coat pocket and turned to Malovena and began asking her questions about her crew.

’How many members are in your group?’

Malovena bowed her head as she answered telepathically.

’We have twelve members in total, my King. Nine of them are inside the Mercenary Bar, two of them are back watching the ship, and then me.’

Jason nodded, and he walked up to Malovena’s burnt body as he asked another question.

’Do you have a way to summon all of them to one place? I want to take care of all of them at the same time if that’s possible.’

Malovena immediately nodded!

’Of course, my King! There is a signal I can send through the comms. It tells all of them to regroup at my current location. The members in the ship will not leave their station, but the other nine inside the bar will come running.’

Jason crouched and picked out the comm in Malovena’s ear and then threw it to his subordinate and told her to do it.

’We’ll take care of the other two when we get to the ship. Let’s deal with these ones first.’

Malovena nodded, and then she immediately sent out the signal!

Inside the Mercenary Bar, the Red Skins were having a panic attack! After they separated from Malovena a few minutes ago, they came in here trying to find the hooded man that was with Valeria and bring him to their leader, but it hadn’t even taken a second before they lost the man they came for! Now, the Red Skins were going around the bar looking at the faces of everyone who was wearing a hood to try and see if the hooded man had switched seats! There were some other Red Skins outside the bar looking around to see if the hooded man ran away from there!

None of them had felt any spike in mana that was usually related to transportation spells, so they didn’t think the hooded man had used a spell to escape! He had to have snuck out somehow!
