Chapter 1140: Part 1: Shocking the Crowd

Wilderness (City A)

Jeremy Night and Stella were roaming the inner land. If they wanted to, they could have used their power to find their target, but they chose not to.

In fact, they wanted to take their time covering the land. Jeremy Night was clear on one thing: he didn’t want to enter a maddened state. He would make rational decisions.

"[I want to recover inside the mental zone,]" Stella said to him.

Hearing that, Jeremy Night allowed it. She vanished from the spot and appeared inside his mental zone.

He paused and checked the mental zone. A six-winged, bluish starlight butterfly was resting on the ground. Natural energy from the surroundings drifted toward him.

The natural energy flooded his body, appeared inside the mental zone, and then disappeared into the wings of the butterfly beast.

Seeing that she was doing well, he resumed his walk. The black-colored full armor suited him well now. At first, it had felt a little restrictive, but that difficulty didn’t last long.

He was quite used to wearing the full-body armor now. As time went by, he encountered another group of Beast Taming Teams.

They were Tier-4 and Tier-5 Beast Taming groups. There were three teams in total, confronting a group of corrupted beasts.

Seeing this, he raised his eyebrows and used his wide-vision power. Looking at the three teams, he saw that two of them had five Tier-4 Beast Tamers, while the other had five Tier-5 Beast Tamers.

There was no leader among the group. He was taken aback; usually, there is a leader who guides a Beast Taming Team.

He didn’t know what was going on here. Next, he shifted his gaze toward the corrupted beasts troubling them.

The enemies were a group of snake-type corrupted beasts, dark green in color. Among them were Tier-4 and Tier-5 beasts.

He didn’t know whether to help them or not. So far, the situation seemed to be under control, and the Beast Tamers were doing well.

They were fighting alongside their own beasts.

Jeremy Night noticed one more thing: not everyone was wearing full-body armor. The Beast Tamers with support-type talents wore it, while those fighting at the front did not.

He decided to watch the fight. If they needed help, he would interfere in the battle.

Boom!

As time went by, the battle grew intense. He saw the Beast Tamers and their Lifeline beasts starting to sustain injuries.

Neither side was gaining an advantage. The Beast Tamers were unable to kill a single corrupted snake beast. He felt the battle was getting boring.

He then shifted his attention back to the mental zone. The six-winged butterfly was still absorbing natural energy from the surroundings.

She wasn’t awake yet, so he didn’t plan on disturbing her. He continued to watch his surroundings.

Boom!

Just then, his senses picked up something. He used his vision power right away, covering a range of up to 500 meters.

He saw a beast over four meters long coming in the direction of the Beast Tamers. It was none other than a Tier-6 snake beast, much larger than the Tier-4 and Tier-5 beasts.

Jeremy decided to intercept the Tier-6 beast. If it reached them, it would definitely take a few lives.

Swoosh!

He departed from his spot using "Feathered Steps," covering a massive distance in the blink of an eye.

When he arrived, he saw the Beast Tamers and their Lifeline Beasts.

Boom!

The snake beasts had surrounded them, waiting for an opening to kill the humans.

His arrival drew attention. Everyone turned toward him.

"Has help arrived?"

"We’re saved," a Tier-5 Beast Tamer said suddenly.

However, his expression darkened upon sensing the helper’s strength.

"He’s just a Tier-4 Beast Tamer. Does he want to die?" he muttered.

The other Beast Tamers were confused as well. The snake beasts noticed the lone human walking toward them.

Boom!

A Tier-4 snake beast, over two meters tall, charged at him. The Tier-4 Beast Tamers were taken aback.

They couldn’t bear to watch the next second. They were certain the Tier-4 Beast Tamer was about to die; his Lifeline beast wasn’t even there to protect him.

Swoosh!

Jeremy Night felt the movements around him slow down. He could see the Tier-4 snake beast clearly.

He didn’t even have to unsheathe his blade. He extended his right hand, and a starlight thread appeared at the tip of his index finger.

Swoosh!

When the Tier-4 beast got closer, he could feel how weak it was. He sidestepped to avoid its massive head.

Cut!

The next second, he used the starlight thread like a blade to slice the beast’s neck.

Pfff!

The starlight blade cut effortlessly through the scales, severing blood vessels as it swept along its path.

Thud!

The starlight thread completely decapitated the beast. The head of the Tier-4 snake rolled across the ground.

Pfff!

A torrent of blood gushed out from the severed neck, and the remaining part of the body fell to the ground.

Blood began to form a pool around the beast’s body. It happened so fast that he didn’t even stop using his movement method.

Swoosh!

He walked past the corpse and continued forward to confront the approaching Tier-6 beast.

Gasp!

Loud exclamations rang out among the group. They couldn’t believe what they had just witnessed.

The black-armored Beast Tamer had severed the beast’s neck in a single move. They only saw him using his index finger to slash downward.

"Did you guys see that?"

"He used his index finger to slash the beast," a female Tier-4 Beast Tamer said to her friends. They were completely shocked.

"It must be some kind of elemental power released from his index finger," another female friend replied.

"No, he has a blade talent," a male Beast Tamer with a weapon talent countered.

Everyone started to share their opinions. Their fear was gone, fully replaced by shock and excitement.

It was rare to see someone with a blade talent and even rarer to witness a Beast Tamer killing a beast in one move.

The Tier-5 Beast Tamers on the other side stood frozen on the spot. Their expressions were quite a sight, as they knew better than anyone that it wasn’t easy to kill a beast in a single slash.
