Chapter 1118: Death of the Two Headed Lizard

The two-headed lizard felt deep pain from the wound. It didn’t know when it got attacked. All of it happened in a flash.

Looking at the human beast tamer and the flying beast next to him, the beast thought they must be the attackers. The lizard felt a strong rage.

It was a Tier-7 Corrupted Beast, but it was being played by a Tier-4 Human Beast Tamer and his bonded beasts.

Roar!

The double-headed lizard roared. The next second, it began to use its ability. Both heads opened their mouths wide.

A rotating ball formed in each of their mouths. They sucked sand into them. The balls became more powerful and gained momentum.

On the other hand, Jeremy Night observed the actions of the beast. Seeing that the double-headed lizard was using its ability, he was not surprised.

"Stella, be careful not to get hit by the attack," he reminded her.

[I will be careful. You take care as well.]

He heard her voice in his mind. Then he drew his blade and held it firmly.

He began to coat the blade with starlight power. A pure white surge of energy coated the edge of the blade in the blink of an eye.

He gripped the blade tightly in his hand.

At the same time, Stella used her wings to hover mid-air.

Boom!

The double-headed lizard released the two pulsating sand balls. The two sand blasts flew toward their targets.

Swoosh!

Jeremy used his vision power. He could track the trajectory of the attack easily.

Before the attack could get any closer to him, he immediately used his movement technique to evade it. He dashed sideways and dodged the blast with ease.

Swoosh!

The sand blast shot past his previous position and slammed into the ground. The next second, a deafening explosion occurred.

The shockwave tore through the surroundings. All the vegetation was wiped out.

At the same time, Stella darted sideways. She too evaded the attack easily as the blast shot past her.

Boom!

Another sand blast hit the ground, carving out a massive crater. The shockwave surged outward and rippled across the area.

The two consecutive blasts shook the battlefield. While this was happening, Stella used her speed ability once more to appear right above the body of the double-headed lizard.

Pfff!

She used her wing blades to slash across the top of its body again.

Roar!

The two-headed lizard let out an agonized roar. Blood spurted from the wounds. This time, Stella had struck a different spot.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Night watched the beast’s condition. Seeing that the double-headed lizard was reeling from the blow, he made his move.

He activated his speed ability, covering ten meters per second in a single burst. In the blink of an eye, he closed the distance to the beast.

While the double-headed lizard was still roaring in pain, he executed the "Shadow Slash" technique.

The starlight blade cut through the body of the beast without any resistance. The blade sliced through the flesh like butter.

When he withdrew the blade, a deep red line appeared on the beast. A moment later, blood began gushing from the wound.

On the other side, Stella continued to unleash attacks using her starlight-infused wing blades. Her strikes battered the massive body of the Tier-7 beast from every angle.

Blood spewed from dozens of open wounds.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Night maintained his assault with the "Shadow Slash." He repeatedly unleashed the same technique, raining relentless blows down upon the beast.

The starlight blade swept across the body of the beast once more.

The double-headed lizard tried to sweep its long tail to hit both of them. Having failed to hit the flying beast earlier, it targeted the human instead. The massive tail whipped toward him.

Boom!

Jeremy Night activated "Explosive Steps" to dodge the strike, swinging his blade against the incoming tail at the same time.

Slash!

The long tail missed him entirely, but his blade struck the spot. Infused with starlight power, the devastating edge tore right through the tail.

Pfff!

The strike landed cleanly, sending blood spraying from the fresh wound.

After crippling the tail, Jeremy leaped backward. The severed tail crashed onto the ground, gouging a deep trench into the earth.

The shockwave rolled across the terrain, further devastating the already ruined ground.

The Tier-7 double-headed lizard was far more durable than typical Tier-6 Corrupted Beasts.

Swoosh!

Seeing that the double-headed lizard was going berserk again, Stella decided to strike once more.

Pfff!

Stella continued to shred the body of the Tier-7 beast.

Time passed.

More than twenty blade wounds marked the flank of the beast, each one a wide, gaping gash.

Pfff!

Meanwhile, Stella inflicted massive damage across its upper frame, her wing blades leaving catastrophic cuts.

In the blink of an eye, the Tier-7 beast suffered massive blood loss. Over a hundred wounds now covered its body.

Roar!

The double-headed lizard let out a feeble roar, lost its balance, and collapsed heavily onto the ground.

Thud!

The impact sent tremors outward, scattering debris across the surroundings.

Jeremy Night retreated a few paces and sheathed his blade.

He had pushed his speed ability five times; his body could not endure any more strain. Fortunately, his foundational movement techniques had carried him through the rest of the fight.

Pfff!

The beast could no longer stand. A massive pool of blood pooled outward beneath its carcass.

Stella ceased her attacks. Sensing that the beast’s vitality was rapidly fading, she glided down beside Jeremy Night.

[The Tier-7 beast is about to die,] Stella said to him.

Jeremy heard her voice.

"Yes. You did an amazing job," he replied.

[You did great work as well. You tore open its flanks,] Stella answered.

Hearing that, Jeremy smiled and waited for the beast to breathe its last.

Once the Tier-7 beast was completely dead, he stored the carcass of the double-headed lizard inside his spatial storage container.

It was time to leave for the abandoned valley, the stench of blood would soon draw other beasts to the area.
