Special Base (4th Zone)

Meeting Hall – Midnight

Lord Rosalie Rose and Elder Sandra were inside the meeting hall. The 15 selected Beast Tamers had gathered in front of them, while the eight beast tamers were seated in their respective seats.

Rosalie swept her gaze across the room. She took note of everyone’s condition; all of them had returned in one piece.

Beside her, Elder Sandra was shocked in her heart. She hadn’t expected the 15 members to have so many bruises on their bodies. They must have been locked in a severe fight.

Elder Sandra once again looked at Lord Rosalie and the other eight Beast Tamers. To them, these were not injuries at all.

"How did they do?" Rosalie asked Rene.

Rene smiled and replied, "Lord, everyone used all of their abilities to fight against the corrupted beasts. Their lifeline beasts aided them as well."

Rosalie nodded and turned toward Ken, who answered similarly. All of their talents and skills had been verified, and they matched their profile information exactly.

"I guess it’s time to leave," Rosalie said.

"Take everyone to the aircraft. We are departing shortly," she added.

Hearing that, everyone obeyed the order. The eight fully armored beast tamers led the 15 Beast Tamers outside. Lord Rosalie and Elder Sandra remained in the meeting hall.

"Elder Sandra, the talents in this special base are good. They are no weaker than the talents training in the special base located in our 3rd zone," she praised Elder Sandra sincerely.

A short time ago, they had recruited many beast tamers from their special base in the 3rd zone; their numbers were simply higher compared to the numbers here.

Elder Sandra didn’t know what to say. She was happy about the recruitment, but she was sad regarding Jeremy Night’s situation. She then thanked Lord Rosalie for her words.

Rosalie stood up, ready to leave, and Elder Sandra followed behind her. They soon reached the runway. On the way, they passed the members who were watching from a distance.

They didn’t dare approach. Meanwhile, the 15 members were already seated inside the aircraft, along with the eight Tier-8 Beast Tamers.

The two pilots had made the aircraft ready. Rosalie walked up to the cabin door and nodded to Elder Sandra before stepping inside.

Buzz!

The door closed, and the pilots began operating the aircraft. It hovered above the ground and rose into mid-air.

Elder Sandra watched the aircraft leave their airspace. It soon became a black dot and disappeared from sight.

Sigh!

Elder Sandra let out a sigh. She turned around and headed back to her room.

On the other hand, the beast tamers who disliked Jeremy Night began celebrating.

They had been worried that Jeremy Night might be recruited, so they had waited until the representative group left with the selected students.

Members posted online confirming the news.

The heavily built middle-aged man and the three other beast tamers celebrated as well. They had worried that Jeremy Night might hold a grudge, but fortunately, nothing of the sort had happened.

Meanwhile, Oscar Fletcher and Sarah were also celebrating. They had been deeply worried about Jeremy Night’s retaliation, especially Sarah, who feared his revenge. Now that she had heard the good news, she could finally sleep well.

...

The following day,

Jeremy Night woke up early. He opened his eyes and realized that he had slept on the sofa last night. One by one, he recalled yesterday’s events, and his mood instantly soured.

He got up and began his morning routine. The bad news would not spoil his resolve; whatever the outside situation might be, he would not break his routine.

Stella woke up after some time. Seeing that Jeremy Night was busy training, she sighed in relief.

Jeremy spent an hour on his routine before entering the practice room. He flipped the console switches, and natural energy flowed into the room, filling the entire space.

Jeremy moved to the center of the room and sat cross-legged on the ground. Next, he proceeded to run his inner healing method. The natural energy from the surroundings drifted toward his body.

He guided the flow of natural energy through his body. His cells activated, greedily absorbing the energy.

Buzz!

After a while, Stella began absorbing the natural energy as well.

Meanwhile,

The outside atmosphere turned nasty. Many were thrilled that the recruitment had ended, feeling their chances were brighter for the upcoming rounds.

Some seized the opportunity to slander Jeremy Night, posting that he would never be recruited by other factions because everyone preferred Tier-7 and Tier-6 Beast Tamers.

Those who had hoped Jeremy Night could enter the top three zones were dismissed as merely daydreaming.

These slanderous posts did not escape the elders’ notice. They worried this might trigger another wave of hostility against Jeremy Night.

Just then, a strict warning was issued by the administration office.

Elder Sandra gave a clear decree: anyone involved in internal fighting would face severe punishment and could be barred from future recruitment rounds.

After receiving the notification, everyone quieted down. They knew Elder Sandra would not hesitate to take action, so they cast aside their hostile thoughts.

For a brief moment, they had forgotten that Jeremy Night was not an easy opponent to defeat, his name was already in the top 50 on the leaderboard rankings. People slowly came back to their senses.

Time passed.

Jeremy Night exited the special practice room before noon. He went to the bathroom to shower, spending twenty minutes washing up.

After stepping out, he put on his combat attire, having decided to take on a mission in the wilderness.

He had been so preoccupied that he forgot to greet Stella. When the thought crossed his mind, he realized how distracted he had been.

He took a deep breath before letting it out slowly.

"Stella, I apologize. I didn’t greet you properly," he said to her.

[It appears you have finally remembered me,] Stella replied.

Hearing that, he calmed his mind and said, "Don’t worry. I’m fine now. You wanted to hunt a Tier-7 Beast, right? Let’s go do it today."
