Special Base (4th Zone)

Inside the training room, Jeremy Night was trying to avoid getting tagged by Stella. As time passed, she steadily increased her strength.

Swoosh!

Jeremy Night found it hard to evade her touch. His senses were extremely heightened. If he used her vision ability, it would become as easy as breathing.

Still, he decided to try on his own until the end.

A couple of seconds later, Stella’s wings almost brushed against his body. He executed his movement technique, releasing a sudden burst of energy from his feet.

The force propelled him forward, allowing him to evade her touch just in time.

Swoosh!

Stella shot past his position. She was taken aback, she had been so close to tagging him. Then, she realized Jeremy had relied on his footwork at the very last moment.

She knew this was part of his innate talent. He had used his movement technique to slip past her, and she began to recognize that his talent was just as impressive as her own.

A flicker of interest appeared in her eyes. She stopped charging forward and hovered in mid-air.

"What happened?" Jeremy asked.

[You can use my ability. I want to know whether I can use yours,] Stella said to him.

Hearing that, Jeremy Night was taken aback. He looked at her in surprise, wondering when she had started paying attention to his talent.

"My talent is physique-related. I can learn anything tied to combat much faster, whether it’s attack techniques or footwork. My senses sharpen during a crisis, making everything around me seem to slow down," Jeremy explained.

"It gives me the chance to make better decisions," he added. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ

The six-winged butterfly fluttered before him, listening patiently.

[That means I can fight better if I use your talent,] Stella noted.

Jeremy was dumbfounded. He hadn’t expected her to grasp it so quickly.

[Then I’ll use your talent while training with you. If I use my true strength, I can catch you easily.]

Hearing her words, he wasn’t surprised. If she activated her speed ability, she could easily reach up to 100 meters per second.

Even without it, her natural speed allowed her to cover several meters in a single second. The current training session was clearly boring for her; it must have felt like a simple game of tag inside an enclosed room.

Gathering his thoughts, he said, "I’m curious as well. Go ahead and try using it."

[Okay,] Stella replied, her tone cheerful.

Moments later, Stella activated the Supreme Combat Body Talent.

Jeremy felt the familiar sensation of sharing talent, the true beauty of a beast-taming contract.

Stella’s six-winged form began to glow, and the starlight power coursing through her body grew stronger.

She could feel the rapid changes taking place within her.

The transformation wasn’t just internal; it was visible on the outside as well.

Jeremy stood awestruck. The borders of her bluish-white wings had turned crimson, complementing the dark golden patterns already tracing their surface.

The reddish aura enveloping her body and wings gave her an even more regal appearance.

Swoosh!

Jeremy didn’t even have time to blink. In the next instant, she was right in front of him. Her eyes were merely inches from his face, and her wing had already brushed against his hand.

His heart pounded. He couldn’t even measure her speed. He was familiar with fractions of a second, but what had just happened felt faster than anything he had experienced.

"What happened?" he blurted out.

Swoosh!

A split second later, she was back in her original position, moving almost instantaneously.

Jeremy was left speechless, his brain struggling to process the scene. Yet, one thing was undeniable: she could use his talent.

The Supreme Combat Body Talent had made her noticeably stronger.

"What just happened?" he asked.

[Everything doubled. I can feel my strength has doubled.]

Hearing Stella’s words sent another shock through him, followed by excitement. He wasn’t the only one who could borrow abilities; she could utilize his as well.

It made her much stronger and far more versatile. Jeremy wondered what else she could achieve with his talent, especially when combining it with her blade wings, starlight power, and speed ability.

Right now, the edges of her wings were coated in a reddish energy. The lethality of those blade wings had undoubtedly increased.

He couldn’t wait to see her wield the Supreme Combat Body Talent in battle.

"Well, this discovery is a pleasant surprise. And it came at the perfect time," Jeremy commented.

He wondered why he hadn’t thought of testing it sooner. If the representatives from the Beast Taming Association presented him with a grueling challenge, he now felt fully prepared to overcome it.

[Let’s resume the game!] Stella urged.

Jeremy uttered, "Game?"

Shaking his head, he prepared to activate his movement technique once more. Channeling the force, he darted sideways.

Swoosh!

Yet, her wing brushed against him the very next second. She wasn’t even relying on his talent anymore, just her natural strength.

That alone was enough to tag him in an instant, and the lingering reddish aura only made her freakishly fast. Admitting defeat, he told her he was switching to practicing his blade techniques instead.

Stella agreed without hesitation, as she was already growing bored. She drifted toward a corner and began absorbing the natural energy.

Jeremy watched as she tapped into his talent again. With her body and wings cloaked in that crimson aura, her absorption rate visibly surged.

His eyes widened in surprise. Stella had figured out how to harness his talent with remarkable ease; their abilities complemented each other seamlessly.

He wondered if the same synergy would occur if he had contracted other high-bloodline beasts. Working together and sharing their talents, they would certainly dominate against corrupted beasts.

He was eager to head into the wilderness, but he had to wait until the recruitment phase concluded.

Time passed.

Around midnight, he finally exited the training room. Stella was resting peacefully inside his mental space after their productive session.

Heading back to his quarters, Jeremy checked his device and noticed several unread messages from the elders. He browsed through them as he walked.

Elder John, Elder Smith, Elder Leah, and Elder Sandra had all reached out to him. A glint appeared in his eyes, and he decided to read their messages once he was back in his room.
