Chapter 1092: A Team in Peril

Wilderness (City A)

When the tail was about to hit him, he cleanly evaded it without any effort. The huge tail moved past his previous post.

Boom!

The booming sound was heard. The Two-Headed Lizard was taken aback. It charged at the human Beast Tamer all of a sudden.

Seeing that massive body of the beast coming at him, his expression got serious. His senses kicked in. He felt the movements in the surroundings become slow.

He could see the beast coming at him slowly now. His mouth curved into an arc. He unsheathed the blade and held it in his right hand.

He used his eye power to locate the weak area of the neck. The next second, he used the speed ability.

Swoosh!

In a second, he appeared next to the neck of the large-headed body. He simply plunged the tip of the blade into the neck of the left head.

Stab!

The blade went inside, severing the important blood vessels going to the brain. When the second was over, he simply withdrew the blade and retreated using the speed ability.

A second later, he created a 10-meter gap between him and the beast.

Roar!

The Two-Headed Lizard let out a roar. Blood streamed from the wound like a torrent. One of the heads immediately lost its vitality and closed its eyes.

Swoosh!

Seeing that, Jeremy smiled and used the speed ability again. He appeared in a flash right next to the head on the right side.

Stab!

He then plunged the blade into the neck of the beast. The blade felt no resistance. The sharp blade penetrated inside the flesh and cut through the blood vessels.

A second later, he appeared back 10 meters away from the beast. Right then, a stream of blood spurted from the right-side wound.

The beast was enraged. It wanted to roar. Already, one of the heads had lost vitality. Now, the supply of blood going to the right-side head was cut off.

The beast quickly lost consciousness. The eyes of the second head closed. The massive body fell to the ground the next moment.

Boom!

The shock force spread across the place. The force caused dust and smoke to rise.

Jeremy Night then looked at his blade. From beginning to end, it took only a couple of seconds to kill the beast. He took two seconds to inflict a life-threatening injury. The beast then died in a few seconds.

And he didn’t use the starlight power at all. Jeremy suppressed the shock in his heart. Then he collected his thoughts and walked up to the beast’s body.

Swoosh!

He then put away the massive body inside the storage ring. Next, he called out to Stella in his mind.

She appeared a few seconds later. Seeing the six-winged butterfly in front of him, he smiled and asked, "Did you find anything?"

[No beasts have appeared in our surroundings so far. I want to fight against a powerful beast.]

He heard her voice in his mind. But this was not the special base; it was the 4th zone. He didn’t know anyone here. More than that, he had only gotten a few details from the day-shift staff.

So he didn’t know much about the actual vast wilderness. But he knew that the current situation in the wilderness was not good for the Beast Tamers.

The higher-tier beasts were causing problems, so he decided to take a look at the situation first.

"Alright, let’s go," he said to Stella.

Stella got excited. She flapped her wings and went to explore the way forward. Seeing that, Jeremy Night followed behind her.

Since Stella was exploring the way ahead, he didn’t have to use his eye ability. He was preserving his strength right now.

He could only use the speed ability five times continuously. After that, his body felt severe strain. He could use it three more times now. If he took enough rest, he thought he could use the speed ability five times again.

Swoosh!

Stella was exploring the way forward. It didn’t take long for her to find something ahead.

Three Tier-6 Hybrid Dogs had surrounded a group of Beast Tamers. Stella communicated with Jeremy Night and shared her vision directly.

Jeremy Night, who was following from behind, saw the 360-degree vision all of a sudden. He was stunned for a second. Then he realized it was the shared vision of the beast.

He saw five Tier-5 Beast Tamers and one female Tier-6 Beast Tamer surrounded by three Tier-6 Hybrid Dogs. The female Tier-6 Beast Tamer was injured.

Blood was dripping from her left hand. Her right hand was holding a spear. All of them were adorned in bodysuit armor.

He saw the situation clearly. Among the five, two were female and three were male. They were all standing close to each other, not exposing their backs to the beasts.

He didn’t see any Lifeline Beasts around them. If they summoned their Lifeline Beasts, it would trigger the Tier-6 Hybrid Dogs.

They could easily slaughter their Lifeline Beasts. If their Lifeline Beasts died, then they would become crippled next, which was worse than death.

The Tier-6 Hybrid Dogs were looking at the group of humans as good food. Saliva was dripping from their mouths.

Their large fangs could shred their bodies into pieces.

[Shall I take action?]

He then heard Stella’s voice. He collected his thoughts and said, "Don’t show your presence. And leave one beast to me."

Swoosh!

The next second, he used Explosive Steps to move forward.

A six-winged butterfly appeared above one of the beasts.

Slash!

Her starlight wings then sliced through the neck of the Tier-6 Hybrid Dog. Though the skin of the beast was harder than that of a Tier-5 beast, the starlight power felt no resistance. It was coming from the beast itself.

Thud!

The decapitated head fell to the ground the next second.

The Beast Tamers and the female Beast Tamer were frozen on the spot. They didn’t know what was going on.

They only saw a white flash. The next second, the head of one of the Tier-6 Hybrid Dogs was on the ground.
