Chapter 1090: Speed Ability (Lifeline Beast)

City A (4th Zone)

Jeremy Night was looking at the horizon. He wanted to see the city wall, but the city was so huge that it took 30 minutes for the cab to reach the destination.

The cab landed on the platform. When the cab came to a halt, he stepped out of the car and paid the fare to the driver.

Jeremy then turned towards the magnificent city gate, which was over 50 feet high. The city compound walls were the same size. He tried to see the end of them.

But he could not see it; the compound walls stretched endlessly. If the city was this big, he could only imagine the size of the vast wilderness.

Jeremy took his time to appreciate the view. He then collected his thoughts and approached the gate.

Currently, there were one or two Beast Taming Teams ready to enter the wilderness. Their IDs were being scanned.

When he got behind them in line, they looked at him. They were all Tier-5 Beast Taming Teams. Seeing him, a Tier-4 Beast Tamer alone, they were surprised.

But they didn’t say anything. After getting verified, they entered the wilderness. When his turn came, he showed his Beast Taming License.

The city guard scanned the ID and asked, "Where is your team?"

"I’m alone," he replied.

Hearing that, the guard was surprised. Then he said, "Don’t go to the inner areas. Tier-5 beasts might be roaming there."

"I’ll be careful," Jeremy replied.

Then the guard gave him back his ID. He accepted it before putting it away inside the ring. Then he walked through the small door.

He stepped into the wilderness. He immediately saw the large bushes and trees. The wilderness aura reached his body.

He took a moment to appreciate it. Then he looked straight ahead and started going forward. He went behind the bushes and moved further away from the city gate.

It didn’t take long for him to cover a mile. He was away from the city now. He used his eye power to check the surroundings.

It was the first time he was using the eye power after becoming a Tier-4 Beast Tamer. His eyes covered the surroundings with great clarity and detail.

He could spot even tiny veins on the leaves and their sizes. He thought his vision was better than that of a hawk or other golden eagle beasts.

He then tried to cover more distance. His gaze passed over the tall trees and green canopies. He could see the water drops on the leaves.

When he tried to observe a water drop, he saw it with great clarity. When he tried to zoom in, the vision became even more detailed. He was astonished.

The zoomed-in clarity was even more detailed. He felt like he was in a new environment. He quickly collected his thoughts and tried to cover more area.

His vision passed over 100 metres, 200 metres, 300 metres. His breathing quickened. His vision further covered 400 and 500 metres. His vision didn’t go any further.

He gulped his saliva. Next, he stopped using the ability, and his vision returned to normal.

[I want to come out.]

Jeremy heard Stella’s voice. He smiled and let her out.

The next second, a beautiful, six-winged butterfly appeared in midair before him. The beast was taller than human height.

The wingspan was over 3 metres, and the height of the beast was close to 2 metres. The six wings looked beautiful with their white and blue color.

The butterfly beast moved higher into the sky. It began to circle in midair. Then she began to fly around the surroundings.

Jeremy was looking at her. Her six wings were especially attractive.

The next second, she increased her speed. In a flash, she covered 100 metres.

Seeing that, Jeremy Night was dumbfounded. It happened in less than a fraction of a second. She then made a move.

She returned to her previous position the next moment. She covered the 100 metres in less than a fraction of a second.

Seeing that, Jeremy Night realized that it was a speed ability. His curiosity grew. He didn’t know whether he could use the speed ability.

Next, he closed his eyes and tried to feel it. Then he opened his eyes and broke into a run.

He sped fast. His body covered the distance in a flash. When he stopped and turned around, he saw the distance covered and calculated it.

It was a distance of 10 metres per second.

Jeremy heard Stella’s voice. He then collected his thoughts and said, "Stella, I can use your speed ability. I couldn’t cover the 100-metre distance like you, but I can cover 10 metres within a second."

"Even this ability is terrifying," he added.

[Wow! You can use another of my abilities. Then your combat strength will become terrifying.]

He heard her compliments. He smiled and continued to use the speed ability. He wanted to test the limit. He wanted to know how many times he could use it.

He couldn’t do it anymore after that. His legs were hurting. He had reached his limit. If he tried to go further, he could hurt his legs.

This speed ability and limit were enough. He smiled and began to look around at his surroundings. It was time to do the mission.

"Stella, look for the two-headed lizard. And be careful not to be seen by other Beast Tamers," he said to Stella.

[Okay!]

The six-winged blue butterfly moved in a flash. In only a couple of seconds, the beast disappeared from sight.

Seeing that, Jeremy smiled. He believed that the mission would be over soon. He then looked around and found a big tree nearby.

Swoosh!

In a flash, he appeared before the huge shade tree. The wide branches provided shade under the tree.

He sat down under the tree. The breeze brushed against his face. He used his eye power again. This time he used the second eye ability.

The obstacles in front of him became transparent. He saw through the trees and plants. He saw no other beasts nearby.
