Xu Panqing, Ling Yunge, and Ling Qianfan circled the Any Door several times. Curious, they even reached out to touch it, only to feel a solid wall; the door itself couldn’t be touched.

They didn’t know why Ling Qianjun had suddenly stumbled upon this fortuitous encounter while they hadn’t.

"Sigh..." The three of them stared at the Any Door so intently that their vision began to blur with double images.

Finally, Ling Qianjun emerged carrying a bag of things.

They immediately rushed toward him!

Ling Qianjun thought they were worried about him and was just opening his mouth to comfort his family, but to his surprise, the three of them didn’t even spare him a glance. They simply lunged at the bag in his hand.

Ever since Ling Qianjun brought food back in this plastic bag, they had come to recognize it as the food bag from the supermarket. Seeing stars from hunger, they naturally pounced on it like starving wolves on prey.

Ling Qianjun felt extremely guilty. If he hadn’t stayed behind to eat that bite of sour mustard fish, he could have brought the food back to his family sooner. It was his fault.

He handed the bag over and let them rummage through it freely.

They immediately found the waffles and Swiss rolls they had eaten before and started digging in. As for the unfamiliar items, they didn’t dare eat them indiscriminately, waiting for Ling Qianjun to explain.

Naturally, they saw the water, but since they didn’t know how to chop the caps off, they didn’t take any.

Ling Qianjun placed the bag on the table and demonstrated his newly learned method of twisting off the bottle caps. While explaining this method, he felt quite awkward. His mind was full of the exaggerated way he had previously chopped the cap open—at the time, he had even thought he looked majestic. But compared to his current refined way of twisting off the cap, he felt more and more like a clueless, big oaf back then.

The three of them copied his method and twisted off their caps. Ling Qianfan looked at him in confusion and asked, "Qianjun, since you knew such a convenient method, why didn’t you tell us earlier? I even hurt my hand trying to chop it open."

Ling Qianjun coughed lightly into his fist. "I just asked the Demon about it, and she told me. Oh, right, let me tell you about these instant noodles..."

He smoothly changed the subject, drawing everyone’s attention to the noodles.

He had Ling Qianfan go find the waiter to bring up two pots of hot water. Once he sat back down, Ling Qianjun began demonstrating how to prepare the meal. The three followed his lead, peeling back the lids of the noodle cups and dumping in all the seasoning packets, the braised eggs, and the shredded crab sticks... Everything went inside.

Just from the smell alone, a rich, meaty aroma filled the room.

"The final step: pour in the hot water, close the lid, and wait for half a quarter of an hour." Ling Qianjun strictly followed the instructions Hua Buwan had given him.

If Hua Buwan were in the room, she would probably mentally facepalm and think, "Ah, Great General, we are just making instant noodles. There is no need for everyone to take it so seriously, as if we are about to go to war."

Nobody made a sound as they silently counted down the time in their heads.

Once the time was up, all three heads turned to lock onto Ling Qianjun.

With a grand wave of his hand, Ling Qianjun commanded, "Open the lids!"
