Stockpiling for an Exiled General Through My Store's Back Door
Chapter 115: Her Heart Aches So Much
Chapter 115: Chapter 115: Her Heart Aches So Much
Hua Ying’er was actually throwing stones at the window! One wasn’t enough; she threw several in a row! Was she out of her mind?! Did she throw them thinking no one was inside? If she knew someone was there, what if they got hit?!
Fury boiled within Hua Buwan. She felt Hua Ying’er was truly beyond saving. They were blood sisters, yet their relationship had deteriorated to this point.
She swallowed the last bite of bread in her mouth, wiped her lips with the back of her hand, and angrily picked up the stones from the floor. Throwing the window open, she hurled them straight at Hua Ying’er’s feet without hesitation. "Hua Ying’er! Are you crazy? How could you throw stones into someone’s house? What if you hit someone?!"
Seeing Hua Buwan finally appear, Hua Ying’er shouted fiercely, "I was trying to hit you! That’s what you get for pretending to be asleep and not opening the door for me! What kind of sister does that?!"
Just then, the door to the neighboring shop opened. Zhou Guodong’s son stood by the entrance with a cold expression, watching the commotion at the supermarket. When he looked at Hua Buwan, his gaze was like a volley of daggers, each glance cutting into her.
Seeing someone appear next door, Hua Ying’er seemed energized and yelled even louder. "Come take a look, everyone! This supermarket owner is an ungrateful wretch! Our parents are at home, but she refuses to visit them! Her own sister came to see her, and she locked the door to keep me out! Come look!"
Hua Buwan picked up her phone and dialed three digits. "If you keep spouting nonsense, I’ll call the police to arrest you. You smashed my window while I was inside. I have reasonable grounds to suspect you of attempted murder, trying to stone me to death."
Hearing this, Hua Ying’er’s eyes widened, and she shrieked, "Hua Buwan! You wouldn’t dare! I’m your own sister! How could you frame me like this?! So what if I accidentally broke your window? We’re family! You actually want me to pay for such a trivial thing? You’re going too far!"
"Put your phone down right now!" Terrified that Hua Buwan would actually call the cops, Hua Ying’er rushed forward, trying to snatch the phone from her hand.
Naturally, Hua Buwan wasn’t going to let her succeed. She dodged nimbly, stepping back into the supermarket and swiftly shutting the door. Hua Ying’er slammed violently into it. BANG! The entire door shuddered loudly from the impact.
"Ah!" Hua Ying’er clutched her forehead in agony, stumbling backward several steps.
Hua Buwan stood before the window, glaring at Hua Ying’er. Her voice was laced with anger. "If you don’t leave right now, I will actually call the police. And don’t bother me again. If you want to be a filial daughter, then go home and serve our parents well. There’s no need to come here and point fingers at me. I’ve already repaid whatever I owed them. They took all my scholarships when I was in school, and they took my entire salary after I started working. You know exactly how much money that was—more than enough for their retirement.
"When Grandpa and Grandma were hospitalized, they never once thought of visiting or keeping watch over them. But the moment the critical condition notice was issued, they rushed over and caused a scene in the ward, demanding their bank cards, the property deed, the PIN numbers... What kind of people do that?
"Grandpa and Grandma still had a chance to be saved back then, but they were driven to their graves by the sheer anger our parents caused them!"
As Hua Buwan spoke, tears streamed uncontrollably from her eyes.
Remembering what had happened in the hospital, remembering the despicable faces her parents had made at her grandparents, her heart ached terribly. It hurt so much...
