Chapter 102: Chapter 102: Secretly Photographed

Upon arriving at the beach, Ling Qianjun stared unblinkingly at the scenery.

"So this is the ocean," he thought. "Boundless and magnificent. I could smell the saltwater from miles away. The sea breeze is so invigorating."

"Come, let’s go for a walk on the beach," Hua Buwan said after parking the electric scooter, pulling him forward.

At this hour, the beach was mostly empty. The few scattered people were quite a distance away. Since they were both wearing slippers, getting their feet wet wasn’t a problem. Hua Buwan took off her shoes first and stepped barefoot onto the sand. Ling Qianjun followed suit, slipping off his shoes and carrying them in his hand.

The sensation of his bare feet sinking into the soft sand was incredibly novel to him. As he walked forward, he left a long trail of footprints behind. His and Hua Buwan’s prints lay side by side, tracing a path along the coastline.

Struck by a sudden thought, Ling Qianjun silently pulled his phone out of his pocket and snapped a picture of their side-by-side footprints. Seeing that Hua Buwan hadn’t turned around, he secretly took another photo of her from behind. Looking at the captured images, a satisfied smile touched the corners of his lips.

Just then, Hua Buwan glanced back. Ling Qianjun immediately tucked his phone away and hurried to catch up with her.

What neither of them realized, however, was that a bystander in the distance had also raised a phone and snapped a picture of Ling Qianjun.

Once they returned to the supermarket, Ling Qianjun changed into his original clothes and crossed back over.

Hua Buwan sat down at the counter and began browsing online for clothes for him. She deliberately looked up outfits worn by celebrities and male models in fashion magazines. Keeping Ling Qianjun’s impressive physique and unique temperament in mind, she carefully curated a selection before placing her orders. Then she moved on to shoes—sneakers and skate shoes—followed by underwear, trousers, sweatpants, and jackets.

She was on a massive shopping spree. She couldn’t stop herself, instantly buying whatever caught her eye without even checking the price. It was only when her fingers started cramping that she finally called it quits.

"Phew." Putting down her phone, she couldn’t help but sigh. "I never knew online shopping could make my fingers ache. My brain is completely fried, too—picking out outfits takes serious mental effort. Even my shoulders are getting stiff."

However, the thought of all those packages arriving and Ling Qianjun trying the clothes on one by one while she sat back and feasted her eyes on him left her absolutely thrilled.

With her shopping spree over, she decided to freshen up and change. She planned to make a trip to Dongxuan Country later that evening. Thinking about clothes reminded her of her own wardrobe, prompting her to quickly grab her phone again and order over a dozen sets of historical outfits. She only owned a couple of them, so she definitely needed more for changing and washing. Since she would be visiting Dongxuan Country frequently in the future, it wouldn’t hurt to stock up.

The red dress she had worn previously was far too conspicuous, regardless of whether it was day or night. She needed to wear traditional clothing in more ordinary colors to avoid drawing attention. As for tonight, she planned to wear a long-sleeved shirt and a long skirt, paired with leggings underneath for ease of movement. Black was the perfect color for the night.

Having made up her mind, she sprang into action.

Soon, night fell.

"WELCOME," the automated sensor at the back door announced.

Ling Qianjun had arrived. Hua Buwan had originally agreed to visit him at noon yesterday, but taking him out sightseeing had eaten up all her time, leaving them to reschedule for tonight.

Ling Qianjun was still brimming with excitement. After returning to Dongxuan Country, he had shared everything he had seen and experienced with his family, leaving them completely envious. They all wished that, given the chance, they could also visit the Demon’s world to take a look.

Unfortunately, they couldn’t even pass through the doorway, let alone enter the Demon’s realm. They could only listen to Ling Qianjun’s vivid descriptions, but even just hearing about it was a treat.
