Chapter 2123: Villain (I)

  • Next Chapter

The vast chaos abruptly felt like it was in a recession. No one visited the once bustling avenues of Allheaven Hall. Myriad Changes wandered through them with nostalgia.

The others were worried about Li Hao.

What would the young man do, now that he no longer had time, supernatural characters, and the river of dao? While the chaos had declined, the powerhouses were still present. Even though chaos dao shook with restlessness, it was only a matter of time before it settled down again. If the ninth ranks returned then...

Was New Martial save them all then?

Would the ninth ranks show any mercy to Li Hao?

They would not!

Li Hao had taken everyone along for a wild ride and inflicted heavy losses. All of the ninth ranks had lost their replicas and Chaos Sky was in an even worse state. If it wasn’t for his lack of confidence in killing the Human King and Spring Autumn, he would’ve killed Li Hao on the spot when the young man walked out of the new chaos.

“Your Lordship!” Gan Wuliang was somewhat worried. He’d been part of the new chaos as well and gained a lot from it. His understanding of dao had even increased.

Gan Wuliang had left some of Silver Moon’s heritage within the river of dao, but what would that do?

Even if powerhouses walked out of the new chaos in the future, that was a function of the future. They would not be from Silver Moon.

It was what they saw with New Martial!

Those of Silver Moon didn’t tell others that they carried the New Martial heritage. They only said that they carried Silver Moon heritage.

Yuan Shuo was dead and had not returned. Li Hao had lost time, order, and everything else. Weakness immediately set in for the formidable Silver Moon. It was so weak now that once the inhabitants of the new chaos emerged from it, they might have more powerhouses than Silver Moon!

New Martial still had Supreme Zhang, the Sun God, and a lot of others if they lost the Human King... but what of Silver Moon?

Gan Wuliang was incredibly pessimistic. It didn’t matter how good their relationship was with New Martial, Silver Moon was only Silver Moon at the end of the day.

And now, they might become the first faction to be eliminated.

It didn’t matter how many enemies they had, the key was that their pillar of support had eroded.

They’d all seen Li Hao take apart Mountain Breaker’s body, but they hadn’t seen Spring Autumn try and fail to stop the young man. They simply thought that it was easy for Li Hao to annihilate a physical body that’d been completely silenced.

It was irrelevant that Li Hao had retained initial eighth rank strength. In the modern chaos, initial eighth rank only made one a powerhouse, not an overlord.

What was in store for Silver Moon’s future if they lacked an absolute overlord?

Fog Mountain, the Thunder Emperor, dao chess, Number Two, Void, and Myriad Changes were, all without exception, outsiders. Apart from Li Hao, the only native eighth ranks had been Yuan Shuo on a fluke.

Now that Yuan Shuo had died in battle and Li Hao’s strength greatly decreased, there was no third eighth rank in all of Silver Moon.

The Silver Moon martial masters in the surroundings feel silent without a word. They’d appeared very strong when fighting the myriad of worlds in the chaos. Great gains had been reaped in recent times as well, what with Allheaven Hall and being a spirit of a newly established chaos.

But still, all they had to show for it was a handful of seventh ranks like Gan Wuliang, Panther, and Hong Yitang.

The queen Ling Yue had been absorbing chaos strength all along, but even she was only peak sixth rank right now.

Everyone else was dawdling as a mid rank. It actually wasn’t that hard to enter seventh rank, especially given how much they’d gained in recent times. But the caveat was, a large amount of energy was needed. 𝒻𝘳ℯℯ𝑤ℯ𝒷𝘯ℴ𝓋ℯ𝘭.𝑐ℴ𝑚

They didn’t have any energy at the moment!

Li Hao had infused it all into the end chaos.

Without sufficient energy or reserves, there was no way to enter seventh rank even though everyone’s dao comprehension had reached the requisite level.

Without New Martial... Silver Moon was in for a tough time if they only had a few seventh ranks and Li Hao to protect them. Gan Wuliang was also worried about the outsiders such as Thunder Emperor and the rest. Where would they go now after Li Hao had given up most of what he had?

They were not part of Silver Moon, at the end of the day.

Everything would be fine if Li Hao had taken another step forward after establishing his new chaos. Although they’d been aware and prepared that the young man would give up the new chaos, since he’d often spoken of it, those of Silver Moon were still resigned that he’d followed through.

The Ninth City.

Li Hao sat cross-legged in the void and turned when he heard Gan Wuliang’s time. “What is it?” he smiled.

“Milord.” A nervous Gan Wuliang carefully selected his words. “Everyone... has gained a great deal from recent events. Whether it is an increase in cultivation level or our breadth of vision, our changes have been enormous.

“Being able to experience life as a connate demon god and naturally meld with the great dao, gathering spirit, and even the construction of Allheaven Hall... All of those occurrences have resulted in a magnificent increase in our strength!”

So many exalted emperors never came across such opportunities in their entire life, yet they’d personally lived through it all. The war of the west and large numbers of powerhouses that died as a result...

These were all rare life experiences.

“Silver Moon’s dao universe is strong enough for the moment,” Gan Wuliang forged onward. “After Headmaster Hong withdrew and Panther set foot into seventh rank, I have also stabilized as a seventh rank by combining the two daos as one.

“Currently speaking, Silver Moon should be able to produce another seventh rank. It would be hard for us to support more than that. Our exalted emperors would have to rely on building their own dao domain and absorbing energy to set foot into seventh rank.”

Seventh rank was an invincible heavyweight in the past, but now? What use were they? On the other hand, Gan Wuliang had some hints when it came to eighth rank. However, where would he get the energy for that?

Silver Moon had reached an enormous size and possessed twin dao universes. It would have to devour Chaos Sky major world to have a hope of ascending to an eighth rank universe.

Gan Wuliang would have to set aside Silver Moon, withdraw from the dao universe, and build his own dao domain for that to free up Silver Moon. Otherwise, taking an entire dao universe into eighth rank would be harder than ascending the heavens!

How much energy had New Martial devoured to barely make it to eighth rank?

Silver Moon had had a chance to do so as well, if Li Hao hadn’t shoved everything into the new chaos. It would’ve been very straightforward for Silver Moon to make the leap then.

Everyone was rather worried, despite Silver Moon winning a resounding victory in the previous battles!

Almost all of their enemies had been eliminated, but even so, all of those ninth ranks and a Chaos Sky was still enough to make them fret with worry. Only the weaklings had died. The strong were still alive.

“Exalted Hao Moon Emperor, the passages of time have collapsed and Allheaven Hall has fallen silent,” said Myriad Changes. “Is there a chance for it to recover?”

Even if someone mastered time in the future, would they go to the trouble of building something like Allheaven Hall?

What a pity that this was how things ended for such a magnificent construction. It’d only operated fro a short period of time, but it might have provided the memories of a lifetime for many exalted emperors. It would never be surpassed.

The Thunder Emperor didn’t speak of that, but said, “With the dispersal of order and the death of Disorder, as well as the upheaval in chaos dao... that has made the entire chaos universe shudder with unrest.

“In my opinion, the lack of order will only continue. If it does, we’ll have more wars to come. The ninth ranks might descend upon us at any time!”

“All of my spatial strength was depleted when we interrupted Skyward’s passage in the last battle,” the dao chess explained worriedly. “I do not have the ability to provide transport anymore. We will be hard pressed to escape once fighting breaks out again!”

Indeed, the power of space within him had almost all gone to Li Hao. It was completely gone and could not be employed to disrupt the Skyward master again.

In the absence of the river of time and spatial transport, they would find it very difficult to get away in the next engagement.

Everyone was raising their latest issues. Meanwhile, Li Hao listened lazily and leaned on empty air.

“All good things come to an end!” He smiled after some thought. “The layout of the chaos is completely clear these days! If we set aside the ninth ranks who are yet to return, there is Spring Autumn in the south, New Martial in the east, and Chaos Sky in the west!

“A large number of eighth ranks have gathered here and given how so many have died earlier, that has increased everyone’s status! New Martial holds sway over the east and has fully found its footing after eradicating resistors.

“New Martial and Silver Moon are of the same blood, after all. I have some ties to the Human King and Supreme Zhang. If you are so inclined, I can make introductions for everyone!”

Eyebrows shot high in the crowd.

“What are you talking about, Hao Moon?” frowned Void. “Do you think we’ll leave you just because your strength has declined? All of us left the four regions together and have relied on you to present day.

“Would all of existence laugh at us if we left you now? We’re here if there’s something to be had and leave if there isn’t. Doesn’t that make us bandits?

“You’ve only lost the power of time. Since you were willing and daring enough to relinquish it, I’m sure that you’ll have a chance to rise again!” rumbled Void. “All you lack now is some energy. When that’s resolved, you’ll have at least five or six thousand dao rules given your level of dao comprehension.

“And that’s assuming you don’t outright recover your previous level of strength. If it comes down to it, all of us can scrounge up some energy and destroy some worlds. You’ll have some helpers with you, or were you expecting seventh ranks like Gan Wuliang to supply you with energy?”

Li Hao meant for all of them to split up!

While it was true that they all hailed from different origins, Li Hao had never said that he was going to be the boss. They stuck together because they got along. Those who didn’t left.

But even if they were going to split up, it wouldn’t be now. The entire chaos would think they were ingrates if word of that got out!
