Chapter 284: The Threadborns

While Silas was checking out his new property, another intense event was going on somewhere else- on Twister Tube, and more specifically, inside a server called...

[THREADBORNS]

The server icon was a picture of Silas with his trademark pink hair, pink eyes, and that ridiculous grin. The image had been cropped so aggressively that Silas’s face occupied almost the entire icon, while the server description read:

"We love Silas. We protect Silas. We discuss Silas. We do NOT allow slander against Silas."

There were 38,742 members, and somehow, despite the server being dedicated to a teenage S-Rank who had absolutely no idea it existed... the server had become terrifying.

At the very top of the member list was the administrator: TheSunDragoness_

Nobody knew who she was, and nobody dared ask. She had created the server shortly after Silas’s first viral appearance and had somehow accumulated thousands of followers within weeks. The server had several channels.

The chat immediately stopped- for approximately four seconds. Then it exploded again, even more intenser... if that was even a word.

PinkArrowEnjoyer: "NO."

ThreadDaddy: "YOU SHUT UP."

OrcKingFan69: "WHO MADE YOU PRESIDENT?"

TheSunDragoness_: "I did."

OrcKingFan69: "Fair."

CupidEnjoyer: "Can we return to the important matter?"

TheSunDragoness_: "Yes."

A new message appeared.

CupidEnjoyer: "Which woman is most likely to become Silas’s first official wife?"

HeartSniper: "Chloe."

PinkGoblin: "Anna."

OrcKingFan69: "GROMDA."

ThreadDaddy: "ECHIDNA."

HeartSniper: "That’s a monster."

ThreadDaddy: "Exactly."

PinkGoblin: "She can destroy a city."

ThreadDaddy: "Exactly."

CupidEnjoyer: "That’s not a reason."

ThreadDaddy: "That’s three reasons."

[TheSunDragoness_ sent a message.]

TheSunDragoness_: "Everyone is wrong."

PinkArrowEnjoyer: "Then enlighten us, Supreme Leader."

TheSunDragoness_: "Silas will not choose."

CupidEnjoyer: "What?"

TheSunDragoness_: "Silas will collect them all."

The chat froze. Then...

OrcKingFan69: "That’s actually terrifyingly plausible."

PinkGoblin: "He’s literally called Monster Seducer."

CupidEnjoyer: "How do you know?"

ThreadDaddy: "I don’t."

CupidEnjoyer: "Then why did you say that?"

ThreadDaddy: "It sounded cool."

TheSunDragoness_ immediately pinned a message.

"SILAS WILL EVENTUALLY HAVE A HAREM."

Then she added:

"This is not a prediction. This is an inevitability."

HeartSniper: "Admin is cooking."

PinkArrowEnjoyer: "Admin is committing crimes."

OrcKingFan69: "Admin is cooking crimes."

A new member joined.

[New Member: SilasDefenseAttorney]

SilasDefenseAttorney: "Hello."

TheSunDragoness_: "Welcome."

SilasDefenseAttorney: "I have one question."

TheSunDragoness_: "Ask."

SilasDefenseAttorney: "Why does this server have a channel called #silas-wife-discussion?"

TheSunDragoness_: "Research."

SilasDefenseAttorney: "And why does it have 18,000 messages?"

TheSunDragoness_: "Extensive research."

SilasDefenseAttorney: "Why is there a spreadsheet?"

Nobody answered. The new member sent another message.

SilasDefenseAttorney: "WHY IS THERE A SPREADSHEET?"

CupidEnjoyer: "Don’t open it."

SilasDefenseAttorney: "I opened it."

CupidEnjoyer: "May God have mercy on your soul."

SilasDefenseAttorney: "There are categories."

HeartSniper: "Yes."

SilasDefenseAttorney: "Compatibility. Combat ability. Personality. Potential offspring."

Silence engulfed the channel, as if everyone was waiting for a bomb to drop.

SilasDefenseAttorney: "WHAT?!"

TheSunDragoness_: "We are committed to thorough analysis."

SilasDefenseAttorney: "There are estimated numbers."

TheSunDragoness_: "Statistical projections."

SilasDefenseAttorney: "THERE IS A COLUMN CALLED ’HOW MANY CHILDREN WOULD SILAS HAVE.’"

OrcKingFan69: "That’s one of the newer columns."

[SilasDefenseAttorney has left the server.]

The chat continued as if nothing had happened. Then someone posted a new topic.

PinkGoblin: "Important question. Would Silas survive if every woman in his household teamed up against him?"

The server erupted again.

HeartSniper: "No."

ThreadDaddy: "Absolutely not."

OrcKingFan69: "Depends."

CupidEnjoyer: "Depends on what?"

OrcKingFan69: "Whether Silas is allowed to use that lightball thingy."

TheSunDragoness_: "NO."

OrcKingFan69: "Why?"

TheSunDragoness_: "Because we’re trying to estimate his survival chances, not erase the continent."

PinkArrowEnjoyer: "Fair."

ThreadDaddy: "What if Alpha joins them?"

The entire server went silent.

HeartSniper: "That’s excessive."

CupidEnjoyer: "Alpha would betray them."

OrcKingFan69: "Alpha would probably help Silas."

PinkGoblin: "Unless Silas makes another Alicia joke."

The chat immediately erupted.

TheSunDragoness_: "WAIT."

A new pinned message appeared.

"WE NEED TO INVESTIGATE ALICIA."

ThreadDaddy: "NO."

HeartSniper: "YES."

CupidEnjoyer: "WHO IS ALICIA?"

OrcKingFan69: "ALPHA’S GIRLFRIEND."

PinkGoblin: "ALLEGEDLY. Silas posted them on his HumorGram page."

TheSunDragoness_: "Find everything."

ThreadDaddy: "ADMIN, NO."

TheSunDragoness_: "Find."

ThreadDaddy: "YOU’RE GOING TO GET US ARRESTED."

TheSunDragoness_: "Find."

The channel was suddenly filled with messages.

[Investigation Squad created.]

[TheAliciaHunter joined.]

[AlphaDefenseForce joined.]

[AliciaTruthSeeker joined.]

[SomeoneWhoDefinitelyIsn’tStalkingAlpha joined.]

ThreadDaddy: "WHY IS THAT LAST ONE HERE?"

Meanwhile, in another channel... [#theory-cave], someone had posted a massive theory.

"Silas isn’t actually human."

Within seconds, hundreds of reactions appeared.

PinkArrowEnjoyer: "Correct."

HeartSniper: "Probably."

CupidEnjoyer: "He’s a Supreme Entity!"

OrcKingFan69: "He’s also connected to orcs."

ThreadDaddy: "He fought Echidna."

PinkGoblin: "He has wings."

TheSunDragoness_: "He summons weapons, and he has pink arrows."

TheSunDragoness_: "Conclusion. Silas is collecting species."

The channel exploded again.

CupidEnjoyer: "WHAT DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?"

TheSunDragoness_: "I DON’T KNOW."

ThreadDaddy: "ADMIN HAS LOST THE PLOT."

TheSunDragoness_: "I HAVE NEVER HAD THE PLOT."

Back in #the-council, someone suddenly asked:

HeartSniper: "Serious question."

The jokes stopped.

HeartSniper: "If Silas ever finds this server, what do we do?"

The chat went silent as everyone imagined it. Silas opening Twister Tube, getting the server link which wasn’t really hidden, seeing his own face as the server icon, scrolling through thousands of messages about his love life, his supposed future children, the Alicia investigation, the spreadsheet, the theories, and the increasingly insane plans.

Nobody typed for several seconds. Then TheSunDragoness_ finally responded.

TheSunDragoness_: "We deny everything."

ThreadDaddy: "He’ll see the logs."

TheSunDragoness_: "Then we destroy the server."

CupidEnjoyer: "He’ll still know."

TheSunDragoness_: "Then we destroy ourselves."

PinkGoblin: "Reasonable."

A new notification appeared.

[TheSunDragoness_ changed the server name.]

[THREADBORNS -> SILAS’S COMPLETELY NORMAL AND NON-THREATENING FAN CLUB]

Then another notification appeared.

[TheSunDragoness_ changed the server icon.]

Silas’s image was replaced with a picture of a completely ordinary pink flower.

ThreadDaddy: "That somehow makes us look guiltier."

TheSunDragoness_: "Shut up."

Meanwhile...

Hundreds of kilometers away, Silas drove his silver McLaren through City A, completely unaware that nearly forty thousand people were currently conducting a highly organized investigation into his romantic life.

He smiled as he thought about his new guild. He had no idea, absolutely none, and if he ever found out what was happening inside the Threadborns... Silas Ashard, the SSS-Rank monster seducer who had stared down SS-Rank entities without blinking, would probably experience fear far above Swef Ashi.

Because monsters could be killed. But fans? Fans were something else entirely.
