Chapter 751: Can I get an autograph?

  • Next Chapter

After coming to that conclusion, we decided it was best for us to remain on the planet we landed on. Luckily, being from the Eidolon race, it was easy for us to blend in and gather information about the world we landed on,” Emily continued.

“If you're the cause of the Roswell incident, you must have been on Earth since nineteen forty-seven,” Emma remarked. “You're lucky you didn’t crash a few years earlier.”

“Agreed,” Kate replied. “Even though the US wasn’t hit badly, other than at Pearl Harbour, I hate to imagine how things would have turned out if we had crash-landed in the middle of World War Two.”

“You did have to put up with the Cold War era, though,” Adam remarked.

“True, but that wasn’t really a problem since that was just beginning when we crashed,” Kate replied.

“So why did you decide to take over Galaxy Entertainment?” Emma asked.

“We didn’t take it over; we started it,” Kate replied.

“What?” Emma asked in surprise.

“Galaxy Entertainment has been around since the early nineteen-fifties and was started by Pamela Primroe as a way to fight for better working rights for female celebrities,” Adam suddenly stated.

Emily and Kate wore surprised looks before Kate said, “I’m surprised you know that.”

“He’s a Pamela Primroe fan; apparently she was his first crush,” Lorelie explained while giggling.

“Oh, really?” Emily replied with a smile before winking at Adam and saying. “It’s always nice to meet a fan.”

“What?” Adam asked in confusion, something several of the others shared.

“Oh, progenitor,” Rowena sighed while running her hand down her face. “You're her, aren’t you? Your Pamela Primroe?”

Emily smiled before saying, “That is the persona I took on shortly after we landed on Earth, yes.”

And as she finished speaking, Emily once more transformed, and as her body proportions started to shift and change, along with her hair changing length, colour and even buoyancy, she took on the form of Pamela Primroe.

“No way,” Emma remarked as she stared in shock.

“Pamela Primroe, I mean, the Pamela Primroe?” Jeanie asked in disbelief.

“But she’s supposed to be dead; she died in a car accident,” Billie remarked.

“You're only half right,” Emily, or perhaps Pamela, replied in the voice Adam recognised from all her old movies. “She did die in a car crash; it just happened a few decades prior to when everyone believes it happened.”

“Babe, you ok?” Stacey suddenly asked, causing the others to look towards Adam.

“Oh dear, we’ve lost him,” Lorelie said in amusement.

“Adam, are you ok?” Tephe asked in concern as she waved her hand in front of his face.

“Don’t worry, Tephe; he’s just starstruck,” Rowena explained with a sigh.

“Must be quite the shock meeting your first crush when you thought she was dead,” Aphrodite said with a chuckle.

“Hey!” Stacey said with a pout as she pinched Adam in the side.

“Ach,” Adam yelped as the pain snapped him out of his trance.

“Finally come back to reality, huh?” Stacey asked with a pout.

If you stumble upon this tale on Amazon, it's taken without the author's consent. Report it.

“Stop pouting, Stace,” Lorelie chided. “You can’t blame him for being like this when meeting his first crush. Also, you have no reason to get jealous since it was long before he met either of us.”

“Fine,” Stacey replied while turning her head away, though her eyes kept glancing back at Adam.

“You seriously the Pamela Primroe?” Adam asked.

“More or less,” Emily replied with a wink.

“Can I get an autograph?” Adam asked.

“If you come pick us up, sure,” Emily replied.

“Oi, childhood crush, turn back now,” Rowena ordered with a frown.

“My, my, what’s this? Is Rowena jealous?” Emily asked teasingly.

“Turn back now, or I'll end the call and leave you trapped on Earth,” Rowena replied in a dangerous tone that told everyone she wasn’t kidding around.

“Err, sure,” Emily replied before quickly returning to her previous appearance.

“What was all that about?” Tephe whispered aloud to Eri, who sat next to her.

“Hmm,” Eri replied before whispering back. “If I had to guess, I’d say Rowena was jealous that Adam asked for an autograph.”

“That’s possible,” Aphrodite whispered as she joined in the conversation. “I don’t think he’s ever asked us for an autograph, and we’re three of the biggest divas in the universe.”

“I’m not jealous,” Rowena retorted as she crossed her arms and turned her head away in a way very similar to how Stacey did.

“Oh, she’s totally jealous,” Lorelie whispered with a smirk.

Emily chuckled before saying, “After all these years, I’ve finally made Rowena jealous.”

“Empress, it might not be best to tease her anymore,” Kate warned.

“Oh, don’t worry,” Emily said dismissively. “Rowena won’t really go through with her threat; we’ve been through too much together.”

“Then why did you revert to this form?” Millie asked.

“Because I don’t want to give my old friend the impression that I’m trying to steal her man,” Emily replied.

“Hmph, as if you could,” Rowena scoffed, causing Emily to smile again.

“How about we get back on topic?” Revi suggested.

“Right, where was I?” Emily asked.

“You were about to explain why you took the Pamela Primroe persona and created Galaxy Entertainment,” Adam replied eagerly.

“Someone's eager,” Stacey snapped while Rowena scoffed.

“Like grandmother, like granddaughter, it seems,” Emma remarked.

“So it seems,” Emily said in agreement. “The persona of Pamela Primroe wasn’t the first form I assumed upon arrival on Earth; I instead adopted the appearance of a random Terran I had once met and altered it slightly to reduce the level of natural beauty.

One of the things we both noticed was that although the people on this planet look remarkably similar to Terrans, Terrans severely overshadowed them in the beauty and handsomeness department.”

“Yes, it’s something we’ve noticed,” Lorelie teased.

“Sorry for not being handsome enough,” Adam retorted while rolling his eyes.

“Or beautiful enough,” Emma added.

Lorelie chuckled before glancing down at Adam's crotch while saying, “It’s ok; you have other qualities.

“Anyway,” Emily said with a small cough before continuing. “The real Pamela Primroe was someone we encountered in the small town of Rosewell shortly after landing…”

“Wait, hold up,” Joanne interrupted. “The real Pamela Primroe? You mean you stole someone's identity?”

“In a manner of speaking,” Emily replied nonchalantly.

“What did you do with the real Pamela Primroe?” Joanne asked. “Kill her?”

“Not quite,” Emily replied before continuing. “The real, or maybe it’s better to say original, Pamela Primroe was a singer in a small bar who dreamed big but clearly lacked the talent to make those dreams come true.”

“I know you're an amazing singer and actor yourself, because you have proven that as both Pamela Primroe and Emily Stevens. But what made you so certain she lacked the talent?” Emma asked. “Back then you hadn’t even entered the entertainment industry.”

“The entertainment industry on Earth, you mean,” Rowena stated. “Don’t forget that Valance and I both studied at Planaticia Academia, and our major was in the entertainment industry.”

“That’s correct,” Emily said with a smile. “But while Rowena focused almost entirely on her modelling, I branched out more into things like singing and acting.”

“Why would an empress major in the entertainment industry?” Billie asked in confusion.

“I wasn’t always an empress,” Emily said with a smile. “I wasn’t even born into royalty but instead married into it. I met my late husband, the then-future emperor, at an event I was performing at, and after dating for several years, we eventually married, and I had to leave the entertainment industry and learn how to be an imperial princess.”

“Oh, I guess that explains it; sorry for interrupting,” Emma said apologetically.

“It’s quite alright,” Emily replied. “So, Kate and I struck up a friendship with the original Pamela Primroe after we rented lodging at her home on the outskirts of town.

Even though Pamela wasn’t exactly talented, she was attractive enough in the looks department that it didn’t really matter, and because of that, she often had fun with many individuals after finishing her show each night, which she then told us about the next day over lunch.

Some of those individuals were people of importance in the town, others were people passing through, and some were even the military personnel sent to investigate our crashed ship.

From the friendship we struck up with Pamela, we learned that the military had recovered the wreckage of something and transported it away. The military was claiming it was an aircraft that came down during a test flight, while others told stories of it being an alien spaceship that the military was covering up.”

“Turns out they were right,” Adam said with a chuckle.

“If only they knew,” Kate replied in amusement.
