Chapter 1314: Chapter 1291: As Long As You’re Alive, Do Whatever You Want

"Young Master Quan, should we notify the National Security Bureau about this?" An experienced police officer collected his shocked thoughts and turned to Quan Mingyuan. "I don’t think this is a simple assault case. Do you have any suspects, Young Master Quan?"

"No!" Quan Mingyuan clenched his fists and shouted. "Nobody is allowed to speak of today’s incident."

The leading officer was taken aback, the order seemed easy to give, but causing such a big commotion couldn’t be covered up easily, wasn’t it clear he was making things difficult for those working here? "Young Master Quan, this..."

Quan Mingyuan grabbed the officer by the collar, his bloodshot eyes like a beast ready to devour, glaring at him angrily. "Don’t understand what I’m saying? Or do you want me to personally confront your superior? If you can’t even ensure basic security, you might as well quit this job."

The collar tightened around his neck, making it hard for him to breathe. The officer quickly shook his head, afraid to be strangled on-site for not saying a single word by this Young Master. "Under-understood!"

Quan Mingyuan released his grip, pushing the officer to the ground. The pursuers chasing the culprit returned to the room, seemingly startled by the scene inside.

"Where is the person?" Quan Mingyuan tilted his head back.

"Couldn’t find them! We’ve searched the entire hotel, no trace." The policeman who just entered reported cautiously, covering his nose due to the nauseating smell in the room.

"Get out! All of you, get out!" Quan Mingyuan shouted madly; no one understood the origins of these thirty-three individuals more than him, no one knew the mastermind better than him.

The officers in the room couldn’t wait to leave; as they departed, one officer pulled a terrified woman aside. "Come with us to make a statement."

The woman’s vacant eyes nodded, following the officer out of the room. Quan Mingyuan stood alone, not even registering the loud slam of the door when it closed.

Thirty-three left hands, thirty-three hearts, thirty-three people! They were sent out by him. One was supposed to be thirty-four people, yet there are only thirty-three corpses here; where is the other person?

"Ah!" Provoked openly, Quan Mingyuan let out a beastly roar, his bloodshot eyes like burst blood vessels, a fiery red in his eyes. "Xiao Lin, this is war between us."

He stomped on a heart on the ground, the already solidified organ shattering into pieces from the impact, venting his anger with each stomp.

None of the thirty-three hearts escaped; gasping for breath, Quan Mingyuan collapsed on the side, suddenly sensing something unusual in the room. He immediately drew his gun, cautiously approaching the window.

The floor-length curtain moved without any wind. "Who’s there? Who’s there?" Quan Mingyuan yelled at the curtain, his gun already cocked.

His throat bobbed up and down, bypassing the large hole in the ceiling, and with his foot, he drew back the curtain, revealing a face.

A pale face beneath bright red lips! A black hat covering half the face, obscuring features! Black feathers drifted out from his all-black attire, extending a finger to the red lips, the black nail creating an intense visual impact.

"Magician? You’re still alive?" Quan Mingyuan lowered his gun, his taut nerves relaxing.

Step by step, the Magician emerged from behind the curtain, wielding a strange weapon, the corners of his mouth spread into a sinister smile.

"What do you want to do?" Sensing hostility, Quan Mingyuan stepped back, blocked by something, slowly turning his head. "Ah!" A loud shout, followed by a bullet shot.

In his panic, the cold metal already pressed against his neck from behind. "Wh-why are you here?" After a brief shock, Quan Mingyuan asked, pointing at the person in front of him.

Xiao Lin glanced at the shattered heart on the floor, a beautiful arc forming at his mouth. "It seems Young Master Quan is quite satisfied with the gift I sent. Have you had fun?"

Rolling his eyes, Quan Mingyuan wanted to shout for help; the officers hadn’t gone far. The sharp point at the back of his neck dug in deeper; he could feel the stinging pain from behind.

"What exactly do you want to do?"

Tsk tsk tsk! Xiao Lin made a taunting sound. "Kill you!"

"You dare?" Quan Mingyuan swung an elbow at the Magician behind him, feigning a move, then he lifted his gun and fired two shots at the person behind him, the bullets creating holes in the wall.

"Does Young Master Quan want to bring the police here? I don’t mind. It’s a good chance to discuss these thirty-three people. I have plenty of evidence proving their identities." Xiao Lin pulled up a chair and sat in the middle of the room, speaking calmly.

"Just with these hands? I can find several times more than this number." Quan Mingyuan put away his gun, realizing that if Xiao Lin had wanted to kill him, he would have already done so. Calming down, he walked over to Xiao Lin, lifting his chin to look down on him. "You’re not doing all this just to have a chat with me, right?"

"Killing you is certain, but not now." Xiao Lin laughed coldly. "Quan Xianglin’s got plenty of death row inmates, are you confident enough to hold on until the last one?"

"I underestimated you, the heir, you sure know a lot." Quan Mingyuan crooked his finger, leaning into Xiao Lin. "Don’t worry, I’m absolutely confident that I can hold on until the end, and I guarantee it’ll get more and more exciting."

"Hm!" Xiao Lin nodded, making a thoughtful gesture. "In that case, I can’t kill you so easily, but your twisted hobbies may not be safe, and as for that Uncle Quan, I think he should meet his end."

"What?" Quan Mingyuan was taken aback and looked at Xiao Lin. "Xiao, don’t think just because you’re in Palermo you can act recklessly, this isn’t the territory of your Xiao Family."

"It’s not your Quan Family’s either. Here, whoever has money can call the shots, right? I’m not interested in how much money you have to bribe those officials. I’m interested in their choices between life and death."

"Alright then! I’ll buy one and you kill one, let’s see who ends up winning. Bribery can easily be erased, but murder is a major crime. News of Xiao Family’s heir being arrested for multiple murder cases will certainly sell well." Quan Mingyuan smirked. This threat held no weight for him.

"Ah! Murder is naturally something for an assassin to do, like the perfect example right behind you." Xiao Lin pushed his foot into Quan Mingyuan’s lower body. "Seems like Young Master Quan forgot, I, Xiao Lin, don’t have much, just one Sin City, and that’s enough."

One kick pushed Quan Mingyuan away. "You made a mistake, the thirty-fourth head is in the hands of the person behind you. Today, this score isn’t settled between us, but by him." Saying this, Xiao Lin glanced at the Magician. "As long as you don’t kill him, you’re free to take your revenge."

Facing Xiao Lin, Quan Mingyuan wasn’t too afraid, but he didn’t have the same confidence against an assassin as he did with Xiao Lin. "Xiao, you’ll regret doing this."

Ah, Xiao Lin who was at the door, turned back. "A piece of advice, if you can’t handle it, have the old man come once himself."

"Don’t even think about it."

Xiao Lin chuckled twice. "Remember to leave a photo, make sure to land a solid hit, that face of yours is really unpleasant to look at."

Xiao Lin walked out of the upscale hotel, looking up at the darkening room. He had nearly taken Quan Mingyuan’s life just moments earlier, and that kind of restraint wasn’t easy to bear. He exhaled, sitting down in the car parked by the roadside.

Lao Jiu didn’t ask much; he turned at the next junction. "Shou has reported in, all the materials are ready."

Xiao Lin rubbed his temples, looking at the sky. Another sleepless night quietly passed. "Let’s move!"

Late at night, on Black Street!

Xia Xue stood alone at the window, gazing at the distant skyscrapers. Xun Xiangxiang had been by her side the whole time, occasionally glancing at the cold Consort Ling. Her impression of this person wasn’t strong, essentially without much memory, only finding this face somewhat familiar. Perhaps she had seen it somewhere before?

She wanted to ask Xia Xue, but seeing the murderous look in her eyes, she held back. "Sister Xiaoxue, why hasn’t Brother Xiao come to see you?"

Xiaoxue smoothed her hair. In Palermo, the night breeze was still quite refreshing. "He’s very busy!" Even if Xiao Lin wasn’t appearing in front of her, the figure always standing outside the door tugged at her soft spot. She felt guilty, but no one felt more guilty than Xiao Lin, so he must be busy now.

A gentle smile unintentionally climbed to the corner of her eyes, and Consort Ling moved over to her side. "I’m fine." Being very familiar with each other, Xia Xue naturally knew Ling Fei’s intentions. Xiao Lin had given her excellent protection, but...

"Xiangxiang, are you sure it’s alright not going back?" Xia Xue shifted the topic. The Black Doctor appeared here daily, and Consort Ling stayed by her side without leaving, but both showed clear hostility towards Xun Xiangxiang. She could feel it; she wondered if Xun Xiangxiang was aware.

"Whether I go home or where I go, they don’t care," Xun Xiangxiang said softly, head down. Xia Xue kindly hugged the sorrowful Xiangxiang, unsure of what to say. She knew all too well the feeling of being ignored by family. "Sister Xiaoxue, can’t I stay here? I’d like to stay until I return to the United States."

Xun Xiangxiang looked up, tears in her eyes. Consort Ling frowned. Facing away from Consort Ling, Xun Xiangxiang couldn’t see his expression, but Xia Xue did. She didn’t understand why Consort Ling was so guarded against a fragile girl, but she had some reservations. "I suppose you can, but you’d need your parents’ consent since I believe you aren’t yet an adult, are you?"

"Nonsense, I’m an adult. If they say OK, are you OK with it?" Xun Xiangxiang said with a tearful smile, looking utterly adorable.

Xia Xue was taken aback and nodded, having no way to take back what she said. (To be continued. If you like this work, you are welcome to vote for it on qidian.com, recommend tickets, monthly tickets, your support is my greatest motivation. Mobile users please read on m.qidian.com.)
