Chapter 275: Chapter 274: No Comparability

Sanbao ran over, but seeing there was no space left, he stood obediently in front of Shen Yue. He pursed his lips, his little face taut as tears welled in his eyes.

Huang Ziyue watched, swallowing hard. He hadn’t seen his Sanbao in days, and he missed the boy terribly, too!

Shen Yue’s heart ached bitterly. She hugged the children tightly, soothing them with gentle strokes. "I’m sorry. Mother was gone for too long. It’s Mother’s fault!"

Seeing Sanbao standing to the side, his tears falling silently, her heart hurt even more. "Sanbao, come here. Let Mother hold you."

At this moment, she only wished she had an extra pair of hands. If only her arms were a little longer, she could embrace all of her children at once.

Hearing this, Sanbao shuffled over and pressed tightly against Shen Yue. She reached out and pulled him into her embrace. Feeling his cold little body, she kissed him softly.

"Be good, Sanbao! Mother is back, don’t cry."

She went around pressing kisses to all the little ones’ foreheads. "Mother missed you too. There wasn’t a single moment I didn’t think of you. I wondered if you ate enough, if you slept well, if you were being obedient, if you got hurt, or if you were freezing at night...

"I missed you all so, so much!"

Hearing her say this, the children cried even louder.

Seeing them sobbing until they were out of breath made the eyes of Mu Silin, Gu Fangqi, and the others standing nearby redden as well. It especially made the hearts of these grown men ache when they saw the teardrops clinging to Shen Yue’s beautiful face.

In this moment, they only had eyes for Shen Yue. The yearning and love piled up in their chests was no less than that of the children. When she was away, every day had dragged on like an eternity. There wasn’t a single second they hadn’t missed her.

Dabao leaned tightly against Shen Yue in her embrace. "Mother, let’s never be apart again, okay? Dabao doesn’t want to be away from you for so long!"

Over these past days, the sensible Dabao had truly taken on the responsibility of an older brother. Whenever Er Bao and the others missed Shen Yue, refused to eat properly, or got into mischievous fights, Dabao would be the first to step forward. He would coax and comfort them, protecting them like a little adult.

Ye Lüqi and the other men had witnessed all of this. Now, hearing Dabao’s words, Ye Lüqi was reminded that Dabao was still just a child, too. His reliance on and longing for Shen Yue was no less than the other little ones, but he never voiced it. He acted strong every day, always playing the part of a proper older brother in front of the younger boys. It was a level of maturity that put even Ye Lüqi to shame.

Shen Yue choked back a sob. She knew that whenever she left, Dabao was the one who suffered his grievances in silence. She kissed his forehead once again.

Wubao’s ears twitched. "Wherever Mother goes from now on, Wubao wants to follow! Don’t leave Wubao behind. When Wubao can’t see Mother, Wubao misses you so much!"

"Er Bao too! When Mother isn’t here, Er Bao feels like food doesn’t taste good, water doesn’t quench my thirst, and toys aren’t fun anymore. Er Bao just wants to stay with Mother."

Hearing this, Shen Yue felt as if a knife was twisting in her heart. She knew she had once again stripped her babies of their sense of security, leaving them to count the days waiting for her return. To them, every single moment felt like a lifetime. She realized that her children loved her and needed her far more than she had imagined.

She hugged them tightly. "Okay, Mother promises you. From now on, unless it’s a dangerous situation, I will take you with me wherever I go."

Shen Yue soothed the little ones for a long while. Once they had voiced their feelings, cried their fill, and received enough affectionate kisses, she slowly released them. She carefully looked over each of them one by one. Out of her seven children, six were standing safe and sound before her.

Only Little Qi was missing.

Her daughter—the one she worried about the most—was likely still in the Undersea Kingdom. Pushing down her anxiety, she looked at the little ones in front of her.

She stroked their heads and spoke in a gentle voice, "After not seeing you for these past few days, it seems my babies haven’t grown any taller at all. Have you been eating properly?"

Er Bao was the first to speak up again. "Mhm, Er Bao did try to eat, but nothing they cooked tasted good! Er Bao couldn’t swallow it!"

"Er Bao is right, Wubao couldn’t eat it either!"

"Si Bao only wants to eat Mother’s cooking. Everything except what Mother makes tastes awful!"

All the little ones eagerly complained about the food they had been fed recently.

Being told on by the children like this made Mu Silin, Ye Lüqi, and the others feel incredibly embarrassed. They were afraid Shen Yue would hold them accountable, thinking they hadn’t taken good care of the children. In reality, they had spent all their time and energy looking after the boys. However, cooking was indeed their fatal weakness.

Listening to this, Shen Yue finally looked up at the men... her gaze landing on Mu Silin. That face they had yearned for day and night, freshly tinged with the moisture of her tears, looked even more breathtakingly beautiful.

Mu Silin’s heart skipped a beat. He cleared his throat and said, "Er Bao, Father is still learning. Once I get the hang of it, I’ll definitely make delicious food!"

Er Bao showed him absolutely no mercy. "Hmph, Er Bao doesn’t believe you! Dummy Father can’t even control a fire properly! You’re not as amazing as my Mother at all!"

Meeting Shen Yue’s smiling eyes, the tips of Mu Silin’s ears turned red. "Yes, Father admits it too. Your Mother is the most amazing and the best. Father is the dummy!!"

He kept his voice soft, as if uttering the words specifically for Shen Yue to hear.

Shen Yue wasn’t about to let him off the hook just because of this veiled confession and compliment. "You really are dummies. After all, someone among you has already learned how to do it!"

Ye Lüqi and Gu Fangqi perked up upon hearing this. Someone had already learned? Who? Who had learned how to cook?

Mu Silin and the other three men immediately looked toward Huang Ziyue and Bai Chaosi standing behind her. Could it be that this flood dragon and this fox had learned?

Meanwhile, Bai Chaosi kept his gaze fixed firmly on Sixth Baby. He knew the child had already noticed him earlier. However, Sixth Baby refused to spare him a second glance, maintaining an utterly indifferent expression. Bai Chaosi felt a bitter mix of regret and sorrow in his heart.

As for the three females who had been lingering in the courtyard all this time, they had frozen in place the moment Shen Yue walked in. They wondered how such a staggeringly beautiful female could exist in this world.

When they saw Huang Ziyue and Bai Chaosi standing behind Shen Yue, they were shocked beyond belief. Following that, when they realized the six children were all calling this unbelievably gorgeous woman "Mother," they were utterly astounded!

They couldn’t believe these six children shared the exact same mother. They wondered if that meant every single man in this courtyard was her beast husband.

The three of them simply couldn’t fathom that these prominent figures were all beast husbands to the same woman. They had assumed that each man belonged to a different female master who simply hadn’t accompanied them here. But now, didn’t this prove that this woman had birthed seven children in a single litter? They marveled at her terrifying fertility. They had never even heard of a female birthing a multi-cub litter—especially from different fathers!

Faced with a female possessing such unparalleled beauty and high fertility, they realized they couldn’t even compare. It was no wonder these men didn’t spare them a single glance; they already had such a breathtaking master. They wondered how they could have the audacity to stay here any longer.

Taking advantage of the fact that no one was paying attention to them, the three women scurried toward the gate in disgrace.
