Chapter 246 - 244: Just Do as the Madam Says
Chapter 246: Chapter 244: Just Do as the Madam Says
Shen Yue saw the Dragon Guard standing there dumbly, not making a move.
"What are you gawking at? Hurry up!"
Hearing this, Huang Ziyue’s icy gaze swept over them.
"Do as the lady says!"
The three Dragon Guard members were instantly startled.
"Yes!"
The three men hurried to follow Shen Yue’s instructions, stripping the clothes off each person one by one.
Then they stood obediently to the side.
Shen Yue, holding a silver needle, started with the first person, piercing an acupuncture point between his eyebrows.
The sight of the first needle going in left the Dragon Guard members dumbfounded.
It was the first time they had ever seen a needle pierce skin without drawing a single drop of blood!
’How on earth is she doing that?’
As they watched in shock, Shen Yue quickly covered the first person’s entire body with needles, one after another.
Except for the private areas covered by his undergarments, his limbs, chest, and head were all covered in silver needles!
And yet, not a single drop of blood had been spilled.
The three Dragon Guard members stared wide-eyed, their initial shock turning to amazement, and now to utter disbelief...
They were completely mesmerized by the sight of Shen Yue applying the needles.
’Could Miss Shen Yue truly possess the medical skill to bring the dead back to life?’
Everyone watched, speculating on the outcome.
After all, the ancient texts recorded that a Beastman consumed by the Doomsday Flower had no chance of ever waking up.
If Miss Shen Yue could truly save them all, it would be nothing short of a miracle!
Time passed quickly, and Shen Yue continued applying the needles in the room until nightfall.
Meanwhile, the subordinates Huang Ziyue had sent to find the two children’s bodies had long since returned.
When Shen Yue emerged from the room, she was so exhausted she felt dizzy.
Seeing the two subordinates beside Huang Ziyue, she paused for a moment.
"Well? Did you find the children?"
Huang Ziyue’s expression was a little odd, as if he were lost in thought.
The two subordinates replied:
"Reporting to Miss Shen Yue, after digging through the collapsed stone chamber, we did indeed find remains resembling children’s bodies beneath the rubble. However, they were all crushed into a pulp and were unrecognizable."
Shen Yue froze for a second upon hearing this.
"Can you tell how many there were in total?"
The other subordinate shook his head.
"It’s all just mangled limbs and rotten flesh, impossible to tell. And just to be safe, we brought back all the remains we could find!"
As the two subordinates spoke, they glanced toward one side of the courtyard.
Shen Yue followed their gaze and saw something on a wooden board, covered with a white cloth.
She walked over quickly.
She was about to lift the cloth.
But Huang Ziyue caught her hand.
"Don’t look. They’re already unrecognizable."
The subordinate added, "Yes, Miss Shen Yue, it’s better not to. I’m afraid the remains under the cloth will frighten you!"
It was just a pile of mangled limbs and rotten flesh. Even they couldn’t bear to look at it directly and had felt the urge to vomit.
’And no matter how capable Miss Shen Yue is, she’s still a woman...’
But to their surprise, Shen Yue pulled her hand from Huang Ziyue’s grasp.
"Don’t worry, I’m not that delicate."
As she spoke, she retrieved a flashlight, a face mask, and a pair of tweezers from her storage space.
She put on the mask and directly lifted the white cloth.
A foul stench of rot and blood immediately assaulted their senses.
The two grim-faced subordinates, standing two steps away, couldn’t help but cover their noses and slow their breathing.
But Shen Yue didn’t even blink. She squatted down in front of the wooden board, using the flashlight to carefully examine the putrid flesh and mangled remains.
The flesh and blood on the board didn’t even amount to half a human torso.
It was a testament to how badly they had been crushed.
It was a puddle of gore, mixed with dirt and rock.
’To be able to distinguish anything from this would be simply incredible!’
Yet Shen Yue remained squatting on the ground, intently studying the remains.
Huang Ziyue stood beside her without a word, simply keeping her company in silence.
After a few seconds, Shen Yue began using her tweezers to probe the mangled flesh, methodically separating the pieces and setting them aside.
The two subordinates had no idea what she was doing.
They watched in shock as she gradually arranged the remains into nine distinct piles.
Next, Shen Yue found a few relatively intact patches of skin where the postmortem staining was clearly visible...
When her flashlight shone on them, Huang Ziyue saw it at once!
Shen Yue looked at the postmortem staining on the pieces of tissue and slowly stood up.
"There are indeed nine bodies here. The bone structures for each are different."
’Nine different people.’
Huang Ziyue and his two subordinates were stunned. ’Does this mean these really are the bodies of the nine children?’
’If the nine children’s bodies were truly crushed in the stone chamber, then what’s the deal with the two in the City Lord Mansion?’
"However, these nine bodies do not belong to those nine children."
What?
’Not those nine children?’
The two subordinates were completely baffled. ’Then where did the nine children go?’
Huang Ziyue’s gaze also darkened.
Shen Yue explained, "The bodies of those nine children were sustained by spiritual power, so their postmortem staining was frozen at the state it was in at the moment of death. But the staining on these pieces of skin is a blackish-green color, which means they’ve been dead for at least five days and the lividity is already spreading. Therefore, these remains and rotten flesh are not from those nine children at all!"
Upon hearing this, one of the subordinates asked:
"Then where could those nine children be?"
"Exactly! We turned that whole collapsed chamber upside down!"
A slight smile touched Shen Yue’s lips.
"Where else could they be? The most dangerous place is the safest place."
Huang Ziyue narrowed his eyes. "The City Lord Mansion."
"Exactly. Since Le’er and Qi’er appeared in the City Lord Mansion, the other seven must be hidden there as well!"
The three Dragon Guard members were left behind to stand guard.
Meanwhile, Shen Yue and Huang Ziyue rushed back toward the City Lord Mansion.
She still didn’t understand how Hu Tu had managed to move the children’s bodies in the instant the stone chamber collapsed.
But it was obvious that the bodies they saw buried in the chamber belonged to someone else.
As for these nine unidentified bodies, she suspected Hu Tu had prepared them long in advance.
The most likely scenario now was that all nine children’s bodies had been moved back to the City Lord Mansion.
Finding where they were hidden, however, would likely take some effort.
Upon returning to the City Lord Mansion, the first person Shen Yue and Huang Ziyue saw was Wu Huo, waiting in the courtyard.
The moment they appeared, Wu Huo spoke:
"Miss Shen Yue, Great Emperor Master, you’re back!"
Noticing the look on Wu Huo’s face, Shen Yue asked:
"What happened?"
Wu Huo immediately lowered his voice.
"Miss Xiao Ya has stopped breathing!"
Shen Yue was shocked. "What?"
Huang Ziyue’s eyes also showed his shock.
"When did it happen?"
Wu Huo said, "Just now. Less than half an hour ago. As soon as I heard the news, I was about to send someone to inform you, but Hu Tu City Lord was just about to hold the funeral procession for the two children. I saw him to the gate and had just rushed back to the courtyard when you two returned!"
Hearing this, Shen Yue immediately rushed to Bai Chaosi and Xiao Ya’s courtyard with Huang Ziyue and Wu Huo in tow.
The subordinates and A Cheng, who were guarding the courtyard, appeared at once. Their expressions were grim.
"Miss Shen Yue, about Miss Xiao Ya... she..."
Shen Yue cut A Cheng off.
"I already know. Stand guard outside. I’m going in to take a look."
As soon as Shen Yue entered Xiao Ya’s room, she saw her lying lifelessly on the bed.
Her chest was still. It was clear she had stopped breathing some time ago.
She narrowed her eyes slightly. ’How is this possible?’
