Chapter 194: Chapter 192: I Don’t Want You to Get Your Hands Dirty

That kick from Shen Yue sent Bai Chaosi flying, carving a perfect arc through the air.

But just as he was about to hit the ground, a flash of red appeared before him like lightning. The next second, he was being thrown over a shoulder.

A fist immediately smashed into his chest.

The moves were stylish and efficient, without a hint of hesitation or warmth.

It was a pure, unadulterated desire to beat the hell out of him.

Bai Chaosi was once again flung viciously away.

His body was like a ragdoll, even swerving mid-air.

It was as if he had deliberately changed direction just to fall back into the hands of that ruthless woman.

But the woman on the ground was faster than he imagined. She teleported instantly.

Once again, she caught him the moment he was about to land.

Then came a thunderstorm of fists, raining down on his body.

Every single blow was filled with immense rage.

It was as if all her pent-up fury was being channeled into her fists, unleashed upon him.

In no time at all, Shen Yue had beaten Bai Chaosi to the point where he couldn’t even stand up.

And that handsome face of his was already black and blue.

Blood was trickling from his nose.

But he showed no sign of fighting back.

Shen Yue grabbed him by the collar.

"You love seducing women, don’t you? Let’s see you try to womanize with a face like this!"

With that, she swung another punch.

This blow sent Bai Chaosi flying several meters away, kicking up a thick cloud of dust.

He lay sprawled on the ground and spat out a mouthful of blood.

But before he could get up, that flash of red, seething with uncontrollable anger, was standing right over him.

Then, she raised a foot to stomp on his back.

"Bai Chaosi, you’re an SSS+ spiritual power master, for crying out loud. What, you don’t dare fight back?"

Bai Chaosi looked up at her, a hint of frustration breaking through his expression.

It seemed he hadn’t expected the person before him to be so powerful, yet at the same time, it all felt within his expectations.

The next second, the emotion in his eyes vanished, replaced by a cold detachment.

"Miss, on the Beast World Continent, males do not raise a hand against females."

Shen Yue caught the fleeting look in his eyes and sneered.

Then, with a swift grab, she had Bai Chaosi in her grip again.

"Is that so? Is it because males can’t fight females, or because you can’t bear to fight *me*?"

Shen Yue stared hard into his eyes, asking the question word by word.

"Answer me!"

As soon as she said this, Bai Chaosi instinctively stiffened, then gave a mocking laugh.

"Miss, where do you get this confidence? To think that I can’t bear to fight you?"

"Do we even know each other?"

A corner of Shen Yue’s mouth lifted as she stared into his eyes, scrutinizing him.

"’Don’t know each other?’ Then why aren’t you fighting back?"

The look in her eyes seemed to want to see right through him, from his body to his soul, leaving him nowhere to hide.

Under the assault of her gaze, Bai Chaosi met her eyes.

But beneath Shen Yue’s line of sight, the hand hidden in his sleeve slowly clenched into a fist.

Even the rise and fall of his chest began to grow heavy.

Bai Chaosi said,

"I’m not fighting back because I don’t hit women."

"I don’t know why you suddenly attacked me, Miss, but it seems I must have done something to wrong you in the past for you to hold on to it like this."

"Since I no longer remember you, let this beating be my repayment. From now on, the slate between us is wiped clean!"

Shen Yue’s eyes narrowed.

"’Your repayment?’ You think taking a beating can clear your debt?"

’Our son, the moral lines I crossed for him, every little moment between us... how could any of that be repaid so vaguely, so inconclusively? On what grounds?’

’Does he think a simple "I don’t remember you" can erase everything between us?’

Besides.

’Does he really think I’d believe him?’

Bai Chaosi looked at her.

"Then what do you want?"

"I’ve made myself very clear. If this beating isn’t enough to quell your anger, then feel free to keep going until you feel the slate is clean. I absolutely will not fight back."

Listening to him, Shen Yue found it laughable.

’Even now, he’s still putting on an act.’

She looked into his eyes.

"Bai Chaosi, I don’t care if you’ve really forgotten or if you have some other motive. You can’t possibly think that taking a beating or saying a few words is enough to draw a line between us!"

"Unless... you tell me to my face that you don’t even want your own son anymore!"

Shen Yue’s words were incredibly heavy.

It was like she was giving him one last chance, one final warning.

Bai Chaosi’s gaze wavered as he looked at her, the pain in his eyes flashing by in an instant.

And Shen Yue successfully caught that momentary change.

"Say it! Say you don’t want your son! Say you don’t want me!"

Bai Chaosi’s body clearly went rigid.

He opened his mouth, unsure whether he was hesitating or just didn’t know what to say.

It was obvious he was struggling, weighing his options, even in agony.

Shen Yue stared at him.

Before he could speak, she loosened her grip and let him go.

Bai Chaosi stumbled, taking a few steps back to steady himself.

As he looked up, he nervously met Shen Yue’s gaze.

Now, her eyes no longer held the same fury as before. Instead, there was a faint smile and a sense of calm.

Her whole demeanor had even relaxed.

"Fine. Since you love that woman so much, go on and love her with that face. I wish you all the best!"

Hearing this, Bai Chaosi’s throat tightened.

The breath he was holding was caught in his throat.

The hand hidden in his sleeve was clenched tightly, and his clear, cold eyes held an indescribable pain.

As if his emotions had finally overcome his reason, his thin lips parted, looking like he was about to say something.

But Shen Yue didn’t linger. She turned and vanished on the spot.

Bai Chaosi stared, stunned, at the spot where she had disappeared.

His bruised and swollen face revealed a heavy, sorrowful air.

It was as if he had stopped breathing, simply standing there silently, lost in thought.

Until the silent air seemed to swallow him whole...

After an unknown amount of time, an anxious, worried voice called out.

"A Xi...!"

"A Xi, are you all right?"

It had taken Xiao Ya over half an hour to find him.

She rushed over anxiously. When she saw Bai Chaosi’s bruised and swollen face, her eyes reddened and she burst out in anger:

"A Xi, what happened? You’re hurt!"

As she spoke, she reached out to touch Bai Chaosi’s face and wipe away the blood.

"Did that woman do this to you? What happened? Why didn’t you fight back?"

As her hand approached, Bai Chaosi instinctively turned his head to the side, causing Xiao Ya’s hand to touch nothing but air.

Xiao Ya froze for a moment.

"What’s wrong? Why did you pull away?"

Bai Chaosi shook his head.

"It’s nothing. My face is dirty."

Xiao Ya looked at him, her eyes still red, and continued,

"How could I ever think you’re dirty? Have you forgotten our relationship?"

Her voice was tinged with grievance and hurt.

It seemed Bai Chaosi’s action had wounded her.

Hearing this, Bai Chaosi’s brow furrowed slightly. He wiped a smear of blood from the corner of his mouth.

"Don’t overthink it. How could I forget? I just don’t want you to get your hands dirty."

Hearing his words and meeting his earnest gaze, Xiao Ya instantly felt a sense of relief.

’I was overthinking things.’

’I was worried that woman had already influenced A Xi in such a short time!’

’Apparently not.’
