Seeking Martial Dao in All Reborn Lives
Chapter 254 - 220: Hundred Dragon Acupoints
In a mere Quarter Hour, Zhao Xuanqi had already drunk his fourth cup of Liquor Brew.
The Liquor Brew was created by blending various rare Medicinal Materials and Rare Beast Materials, and the amount of nourishment it contained was almost unimaginable. Even an ordinary Harmony master could only drink three cups a day; any more would be an overdose, too much for the body to handle. Even Jiang Wu, with his Exotic Beast physique, immense Qi and Blood, and extraordinarily strong constitution, would not drink more than ten cups in a day.
The resources within a Blessed Land like Eight Dragons and One Pearl were vast, nearly comparable to the reserves of a major power, and it all belonged to Jiang Wu alone. The Liquor Brew he concocted was truly a rare and powerful tonic in the Divine Land.
Standing to the side, Jiang Wu’s face twitched slightly as he watched Zhao Xuanqi drink cup after cup.
At his level of cultivation, and possessing the Qi Observation Ability, a single glance was all it took for him to know that Zhao Xuanqi was not being recklessly arrogant.
HUMMM!!
As the Liquor Brew entered his body, his internal organs began to work at a rapid pace. The nourishment was so immense that his organs were insufficient to process it in their normal state, forcing Zhao Xuanqi to activate his Qilin Form. Through this visceral transformation, he drastically enhanced his organs’ capabilities, pushing his natural digestive abilities to their absolute limit.
Jiang Wu could sense that Zhao Xuanqi’s digestive system was like a bottomless pit. The massive amount of nourishment from the Liquor Brew was broken down with incredible speed and transported by his organs to every part of his body. He was digesting it over ten times faster than even Jiang Wu himself could.
"Just what is the deal with this kid?" Jiang Wu asked Earth Elder using ventriloquism.
"We’re not sure either. He seemed to appear out of nowhere, as if he was born with all his knowledge. His strength progresses far faster than any ordinary person, and his understanding of the Martial Dao is at the very highest level."
"His body seems to possess a special ability. The amount of Secret Medicine he consumes each day is more than ten times that of other Martial Artists at the same realm. Now, with the world in turmoil, our Jinmen Martial Arts Association has become a public enemy. For us, not advancing means falling behind, and not fighting means death. He is the hope of our Jinmen Martial Arts Association—and perhaps even the hope of the entire Martial Arts Realm of the Divine Land."
"We face a powerful enemy and, out of desperation, we brought him here to ask for your help, Senior. Please forgive us for any offense. As for the resources consumed for the Liquor Brew, the Martial Arts Association will do its utmost to replenish them for you after we weather this storm."
Earth Elder said to Jiang Wu with great solemnity.
"Forget it. I lost the bet, and I’m a man of my word. What is this nonsense about replenishing the materials? Even if he drinks every last drop of the Liquor Brew, it would only cost me a few more years to gather the ingredients. It’s not as if I can’t live without it. Besides, it’s not even certain he can finish it all."
"This young man, on the other hand... he practices the Holy Beast Fist and is exceptionally gifted. For someone so young, it’s as if he was born with his knowledge. He has already reached the Harmony realm, and his Fist Technique, Intent, and Martial Dao are like a Holy Beast descending upon the world, transcending the mundane. He is already a Grandmaster of his generation. Forming a good connection with him is beneficial for me, too."
"Besides, I’m quite curious to see what realm he can ultimately reach. Perhaps he can truly be like the Holy Beast Divine Generals of old—forging a new path through thorns and reviving the might of a Divine General."
Jiang Wu’s expression slowly calmed as he watched Zhao Xuanqi.
"The stronger the talent, the greater the tribulations," Earth Elder said with a sigh. "Given the situation in the Divine Land, and the world at large, his path ahead will not be an easy one."
"You’re wrong. For the mediocre, they are tribulations. For the truly strong, they are opportunities."
"He who overcomes himself is ’divine’; he who overcomes others is a ’general.’ Only one who can do both is worthy of the name ’Divine General.’ If one is not the kind of person who can shake the cosmos, a master of strategy who crushes any god or demon in his path, how can they possibly break this thousand-year Illusion Barrier?" Jiang Wu said.
THUMP!! THUMP!!
Just then, a violent thumping sound interrupted their conversation.
This thumping was not a heartbeat. Though the vibrations overlapped with his heartbeat, they originated from another location within Zhao Xuanqi’s body.
It was as if a second heart had suddenly started beating inside his body.
’This is...’
A look of curiosity appeared in Jiang Wu’s eyes. A faint glow flickered within them as he activated his Qi Observation Ability and peered into Zhao Xuanqi’s body.
He was incredibly curious to see how Zhao Xuanqi would utilize the immense nourishment produced from digesting the Liquor Brew.
’This must be related to the Harmony-aspect training of the Holy Beast Fist. Perhaps there’s something here I can learn from.’
Through his Qi Observation Technique, he saw a hazy, seven-colored radiance circulating within Zhao Xuanqi. This was a phenomenon that occurred when one’s Physical Ability reached a certain level, causing the body to naturally radiate an aura.
Within this seven-colored radiance, he saw certain points in Zhao Xuanqi’s body shining with an intense light, as dazzling as stars in the night sky.
Among this field of stars, one point stood out the most, located in his abdomen.
All the other shining points seemed to faintly orbit this central one, linking together and forming an interconnected network.
And the sound, like that of a second heart thumping within Zhao Xuanqi’s body, was coming from the very spot that corresponded to this most brilliant "star."
Qi and Blood converged there, nerves intersected, and nutrients gathered. This "star" was like the nexus and focal point of an entire region of his body, exerting a profound influence.
’An acupoint?’
’And a vital one, at that?’
Jiang Wu’s expression tensed. He seemed to understand.
Right at this moment, supplied by the vast nourishment and guided by the precise control of Zhao Xuanqi’s own Intent, this acupoint was slowly undergoing a permanent change.
