He was unsure of what had gone wrong with Eleanore, she was not responding at all and had frozen in her place. From up here, he couldn’t even see her face properly.

Thus, he knelt to the ground and came to her face level. "What’s wrong? Say something?" He waves his hand in front of Eleanore’s eyes, and they move.

Their eyes meet and to evade the awkwardness from that, he turns away. But then his eyes fell on her lips, that were somewhat frozen from this heavy winter and yet there was something in them that attracted him.

He leaned forward, closing the distance between their faces. Now, he could hear her heavy breathing—and his own heart started pounding like a drum, against his ribcage. His hand slipped behind her neck, fingers weaving into her strands of hair. Then, as if urgency had taken over him, he pulled her close, their heartbeats syncing in a wild, trembling rhythm.

In a heartbeat, their lips met.

Everything turned hazy.

Her breathing hitched, uneven and shallow, as she sank into the kiss, losing herself with every smacking, wet sound that passed between them.

Caelestis shifted above her, causing her to lose balance and tumble onto the couch. Her arms wrapped around his neck instinctively—one hand gripping his hair—while her lips deepened the kiss, more fervent, more consuming.

Their tongues met in a messy dance, sliding into each other’s mouths. The lingering taste of that sweet dessert he ate, clashed with the heat building between them, igniting something rare. They were breathless, but neither of them pulled away, caught in the trance of shared warmth and exchanged desire.

Suddenly, Caelestis paused, sensing the sharpness in her breath. He pulled back just enough to search her eyes.

"Are you okay?" he asked, his voice husky.

Eleanore inhaled, drawing in the air she needed—not to stop, but to continue. "Yes," she whispered, her voice soft and sultry. "I’m fine."

With a determined gaze, Caelestis moved her arms from around his neck, pinning them gently but firmly to the couch. His palm met hers—warm, grounding. In that moment, she knew there was no turning back.

Their lips collided again, hungrier than before.

His chest hovered so close, she could feel it brushing against hers, sending electricity through her body. Her nipples tightened at the contact, more with every breath—until finally, his body pressed against her, and their heartbeats seemed to have tangled into one.

Caelestis trailed down to her neck, kissing the delicate skin there before licking it, then sucking gently. The sensation lit her nerves on fire, and a moan escaped her lips. She squeezed his hand tighter.

"Ha..." she gasped, her moans slipping out with every new place he explored on her neck.

She melted under his touch, each sensation pulling her deeper into the moment—until a sudden, jarring flicker interrupted it all.

The system panel appeared before her, teasing her with a new quest and reminding her that there was no time for this.

Caelestis stopped when he stopped hearing those sweet moans from her. He moved his face over her and brushed his thumb against her cheek.

"What’s wrong? Eleanore?" He asks, genuinely concerned about her.

Eleanore pulls her hand out of his and pushes him away from her. "I wasn’t here for this." She says, as she moves away from him.

"What do you mean?" Caelestis was puzzled.

If everything between Flora and Eleanore solves then, she can ask her everything related to this unknown lady named Barbra. She had mentioned her before. Probably Lady Barbra is deeply connected in this case.

"I came here to ask you something." She reminds him.

Caelestis gets down the couch and tries to hide his blushing cheeks. He hadn’t even imagined going any further from what he had already gone. ’To be honest, good thing she stopped me.’ He thinks.

"Right. I forgot." He took the support of his table as he asked. "What did you want to ask me?"

"I— um, want to terminate the confidentiality contract." She reveals.

Caelestsi was stunned to hear that. It did take a lot of convincing from him to Hael, for him to agree to this contract and Eleanore was the first one to agree with Caelestis. Then what happened that she suddenly wants to terminate this contract? Who does she want to tell?

"Why?" He asked.

Eleanore got down from that couch and walked closer to him. "I need to tell Flora." She says firmly.

"Why?"

"Because she wants to know."

"What kind of reason is that?" He was puzzled and the reason sounded too bland for him to agree to it.

"That’s the only way I have to save our friendship. She thinks I am hiding something very important from her and that I have completely replaced her with Stella. She believes I no longer see her as my friend. Please, Caelestis, I need her. I need this friendship that is walking on this thin line, that could break any time." Eleanore begs. "Please, I want to save her, I want to save our friendship. Can’t you just terminate the contract?"
