Over the next few days, Alex and Ade continuously hunted Void Beasts. Alex was responsible for unleashing his domain of Absolute Zero to freeze the creatures, while Ade took charge of killing them.

Soon enough, the Void Beasts in the vicinity of the village were completely wiped out by the duo.

Ade truly lived up to being the one chosen by the world’s will. In just a few short days, his Soul Strength skyrocketed like a launched rocket. The spiritual pressure—Reiatsu—he occasionally erupted with would transform into a void pillar of light, tearing brief rifts in the chaotic, murky sky.

Weak Void Beasts had long since scattered and fled under this sheer intensity of Reiatsu. However, those giant Void Beasts towering over a hundred meters tall were drawn by this power, converging upon them like dark storm clouds.

Their massive bodies could stubbornly resist the Quincy Power; Ade needed dozens of arrows to completely kill them.

It also took Alex far more time than usual to freeze them with his domain of Absolute Zero.

Alex understood that this was the counterattack of the chaotic world’s consciousness. If they couldn’t defeat these Void Beasts...

If Ade were to fall at the hands of the Void Beasts, everything they had done so far would be like a moon’s reflection in the water—vanishing into nothingness.

But the sheer number of incoming Void Beasts was simply too great; Ade alone couldn’t possibly kill them all!

After a grueling battle, a colossal Void Beast crashed heavily to the ground, disintegrating into a sky full of Reishi.

Ade’s hands trembled violently. The constant drawing of his bow and firing of arrows had left him so exhausted he couldn’t even lift his arms.

As more dark silhouettes appeared on the horizon, Alex used his telekinesis to lift the boy’s body.

"Let’s head back to the village first."

Inside a stone house in the underground village, Ade buried his face in his knees, his sea-blue hair plastered wetly to his forehead.

Just moments ago, a giant Void Beast had invaded the village and killed several villagers before being slain by the returning Alex and Ade.

"Teacher, I’m too weak..."

If he were just a little stronger, he could have cleared out all the nearby Void Beasts, and this tragedy would never have happened.

"You’ve already done incredibly well. Everyone needs time to grow. Back then, it took me seven or eight years to achieve what I have now."

Recalling the arduous efforts he made to seize the qualification of the Aquarius Gold Saint, Alex couldn’t help but feel a deep sense of nostalgia.

Ade’s daily growth rate was equivalent to at least a month of his own grueling training.

He used to think of himself as a chosen prodigy, but in the presence of the future Soul King, Alex finally learned what "cheat-like" speed truly meant.

Alex’s gaze fell upon the dancing firelight reflecting off the rock walls. His heart stirred; what was meant to come has finally arrived.

The Bleach universe would eventually have four extraordinary power systems: Quincies, Soul Reapers, Fullbringers, and Hollows!

The origins of the first three powers all stemmed directly from the Soul King.

Quincies were all blood descendants of the Soul King...

Yhwach, who claimed to be the reincarnation of the Soul King, called all Quincies his "sons." It wasn’t him trying to take advantage of them; it was simply the truth. The blood of the Soul King flowed within the veins of every Quincy.

Fullbringers, on the other hand, were formed when fragments of the Soul King’s physical body integrated into mortal bodies, manifesting as a kind of conceptual, rule-based power.

Both of these powers were fundamentally linked to Ade himself.

If he wanted to bestow supernatural power upon ordinary people with no blood ties to him, he could only take the path of the Shinigami.

"Have you thought this through? If you bestow supernatural abilities upon others, you will no longer be the sole extraordinary being in this world. Betrayal and suspicion will inevitably follow!"

Alex’s voice carried a chilling, bone-deep coldness.

Ade thought for a moment before flashing a bright smile.

"I’ve thought it through, Teacher. If it’s just me alone, there is no way to return this world to normal."

"Besides, I grew up eating meals provided by everyone in the village. They are all my family. I believe in them; they would never harm me."

Alex shook his head and offered no further persuasion.

Although the Quincy Power was strong, Hollows killed by this power would be reduced to the purest Reishi, permanently losing any possibility of reincarnation.

Conversely, Hollows purified by the power of Shinigamis would be granted the chance to reincarnate and be reborn.

For the world to continue functioning normally, the emergence of the Shinigami’s power was only a matter of time.

Lowering his eyelids, Alex said flatly:

"Since you’ve made up your mind, announce it tonight..."
