"Over here!"

The boy waved to him and leapt inside.

Alex didn’t hesitate and leapt in right after him. His intuition told him that this boy was the key to unlocking the mysteries of this world. The success or failure of his civilization-building mission likely hinged upon this person.

The two slid down the winding, tortuous underground cavern. Soon, Alex’s feet hit solid ground, and he found himself in a vast subterranean cavern.

It was a village. Low stone houses were built everywhere, and many humanoid creatures were bustling about among them.

Seeing Alex arrive, these people stopped their work and looked over.

Unlike the boy, they possessed ordinary, single pupils...

It seemed the boy was a highly unique existence even within his own tribe.

A white-haired, elderly man walked over, leaning on a walking stick.

"Ade, who did you bring back this time? Are there still other human survivors nearby?"

The boy raised Alex’s right hand and announced loudly,

"He is not a human! He is a god sent by the heavens to save us!"

What?

A god?

Hearing the boy’s shouts, more and more humans gathered around, observing Alex with curious eyes.

"He doesn’t look any different from us!"

"Ade, are you delirious from hunger? This is clearly just an ordinary human!"

"Stop messing around and go dig for earthworms and tree roots. Otherwise, we won’t have anything for dinner again!"

Seeing that no one believed his words, the boy grew anxious and frantic. He shouted loudly,

"I’m not lying to you! I saw it with my own eyes! He can emit white halos, and all the monsters that get close to him are frozen into blocks of ice!"

"Oh right, he also has the power to control lightning! He can gather golden lightning in his hands!"

He turned to look at Alex, clasping his hands together in prayer.

"God, please, show them a miracle."

Alex smiled and rubbed the boy’s black hair. He didn’t use any of his abilities. If he unleashed his Absolute Zero domain, everyone here—aside from this mysterious boy—would be killed instantly.

He turned to the elder and asked,

"Tell me, where is this place, and what has happened to this world?"

The elder observed Alex with a peculiar look before letting out a sigh.

"Guest, please follow me... Ade, hurry up and get to work, or you won’t get a share of tonight’s dinner."

The boy felt so wronged he looked like he was about to cry. Pouting his lips, he reluctantly joined the work of digging dirt and unearthing tree roots.

Alex, meanwhile, followed the elder into a somewhat spacious stone house.

"Please sit, guest."

The elder gestured for Alex to sit down, and then began to slowly recount their tale.

"I don’t know where you came from, nor where you are going. But since you managed to survive the attacks of the Void Beasts outside, you must be a Spiritual Power User just like Ade."

Void Beasts... Spiritual Power Users... Alex felt as if something was on the tip of his tongue, ready to burst from his memory. However, these fragments of information couldn’t quite form a complete picture just yet.
